• Indoor pool, restaurant and business facilities.
• Housekeeping did not clean room to expectations.

“The location was great - close to expressways, stores, restaurants, and downtown. The indoor pool, business services (internet access, free copy services), exercise facilities, and restaurant were also a plus. I was not too impressed with housekeeping as debris was left on the bathroom floor, the beds were not made on one particular day that housekeeping services were requested, and the housekeeper left a note that she would bring clean glasses back to the room and did not do so until the next day.”

• The mattress covers were not good.

“This hotel was a great place to stay. The free parking, the great staff. I left a personal item at home. I mentioned it to the staff and she found the item needed under 2 minutes.”

• Staff were informative. Room was ok but were missing shampoo and Kleenex.
• I picked the area because I thought it would be quieter than downtown. It was the loudest lobby I've experienced. People were drunk and yelling.

“Hotel was supposed to be in a quieter area than the center city/downtown. To my disappointment, the lobby was too loud with drunk people. I've stayed at the hotel before and I did realize a upgrade of the elevator and the bathrooms. But the loud party of some sort in the lobby was a downgrade.”

• Comfortable bed, and close to where we needed to be. Nice toiletries and extras.
• Poor water pressure made shower unusable second day.

“Our room was comfortable, with a very comfortable bed, sofa, and read coffee mugs instead of disposable cups. They provided a sleep well kit that included a relaxation CD, earplugs, eye mask, and lavender linen spray. A very nice touch. The alarm clock was very nice and had relaxation sounds built in as well. The bathroom was adequate in size, and the toiletries provided smelled wonderful. The shower, however, had very poor water pressure, and we couldn't use the shower the second day because of this. Very frustrating to have to basically sponge bathe yourself at a hotel! Hopefully this will be fixed. Overall, a nice hotel. I think 2.5-stars might be more appropriate.”

• It does not live up to Crowne Plaza level.

“This hotel has been upgraded from a Holiday Inn to a Crown Plaza Hotel. In our opinion, it does not live up to that grade level. The ceilings are low throughout the hotel. The halls are drab and have that hotel smell. The rooms and bathrooms are small. The staff, however, is very friendly and efficient. The restaurant was ok, but not to the level expected of a Crowne Plaza.”

• Based on the price, I expected less and was pleasantly surprised by room comfort.
• Restaurant could be improved.

“I couldn't have been more surprised or pleased. Area is safe and has easy access to many attractions. Staff was friendly and helpful. The floor we stayed on is now being converted to a dorm floor for a nearby college. We may have been the last ones to stay on this floor. Despite construction, even workers were apologetic and friendly. Never did it interfere with our stay. Bedding was luxurious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!”

• Air conditioner was kept waking me up when it turned on.

“The air conditioner in room was very loud. It was activated by a thermostat, so it would kick in periodically. I kept waking up when it would. I have stayed in this hotel before and did not have this problem during the previous stay. I liked the sleep CD that is offered.”

• Filthy carpets inside room and hallway, elevators often blocked, fitness room not cleaned.

“We were unpleasantly surprised, dirty carpets (filthy) inside room and on hallway, dirty linen and cups/plates/glasses remained in hallway for long times, elevators blocked with service transport of linens/room personnel - they did not move or put customer first! Other Loud guests on floor, fitness room not maintained (no clean cups/towels) I will not recommend this to anybody. We complained about dirty cups/glasses outside our door (not ours!) - they were taken away - but plenty other stuff, including some trash, remained only a couple of doors away!”

• Everything in the room looks very old (except curtains). Strong tobacco smell in non-smoking room. And bugs found in bathroom.

• I loved the customer service. Everyone was friendly and helpful in all areas of their job.
• I think the hallway walls leading to the rooms could be freshening with a new coat of paint.

“The Outside of the Hotel was very impressive as well as the lobby and desk associates. After leaving the elevator the hallways seem a little shabby with soiled walls. The rooms were okay. But the staff has great customer service skills.”

• Nicest staff I have ever had.
• No free breakfast, but the pay buffet was pretty good.

“Very nice hotel with an excellent staff. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. I actually slept well in a hotel bed for a change. Plenty of free parking, and only about a 10 minute drive to the Historic District of Philly. The hotel is next to a Target store, and has a TOGA Fridays by the parking lot, with many other restaurants/fast food close by. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel, my family and I had a very nice mini-vacation staying there.”

“This hotel is under renovation as the corporate name had changed. The lobby and restaurants were clean and modern looking. The hotel staff was extremely helpful when we asked to check in very early. The front desk staff as well as the restaurant staff was incredibly helpful and attentive.”

“The hotel was nice. Too hard to park because Fridays Restaurant always too busy and crowded. The staff was friendly. The pool water was murky and needed cleaning. I would stay there again.”

• No safe in room, outside of hotel needs work, not a high end hotel.

“For a leisure traveler not spending a lot of time in the room it was fine but it is not a 3 star hotel by any stretch. Not comparable to the Hilton which is a 3 star next door. Parking is a problem with limited spaces. Had to part around behind hotel which as a woman traveler along at night made me nervous. Friendly desk staff.”

• There were roaches in the bathroom!

“This hotel, which appears to have undergone a recent renovation, is very well located. Easy on and off highways, situated right next to Target, Fridays, Chipotle, California Pizza Kitchen, PeiWei and Potbelly, there was always something to eat. Unfortunately there were small roaches in the bathroom but other than that it was a great hotel.”

• Proximity to the venue I attended and freeway access.
• The outside looked a little tidy, but I think there was some refurbishing going on.

“I stayed at the Crown Plaza city Line Hotel to attend a concert at the Mann Music Center. The hotel is perfectly situated for that, a $12 cab ride to the event. Close to other restaurants, However their breakfast buffet was reasonably priced at $12.00 and very good.”

• Location was very good considering it was outside Center city.
• Baby roaches appeared in the bathroom on a daily basis. I was there 4 nights.

“My son goes to school in University city and it was a bit of a distance when traffic was heavy. which is all the time in Philly. But to get to King of Prussia or businesses on City Line like Target it was excellent. Crowne Plaza is right at the highway hub.”

• The staff was incredibly friendly, especially the front desk staff and the lobby is beautiful.
• The hallways are dingy, not nearly as attractive as the hallways or the rooms and everything closes early.

• Outstanding staff, well laid out and very clean.
• For a three star hotel, I expect a mini fridge. I was surprised this hotel didn't have one.

“The rooms are a little sparse on features, but are very clean and comfortable. The service is outstanding and the staff was immediately attentive on the occasions we needed something. We would stay here again.”

• The person at the front desk was awesome - very attentive.
• They were still renovating and the rooms seemed unfinished.

“This hotel was assumed by Crowne Plaza but still seemed like a Holiday Inn in many areas such as the rooms. I did not find the bed very comfortable and the bathroom looked like it was still being remodeled down to the molding.”

• The way the air blows from the vent system-needs plastic shield on vent.

“Very nice, very accommodating, however the bed are right next to the vents and the air blows directly on the bed and its cold. please provide deflector shields for the vent unit or move the beds to the opposite wall.”

• I like the location.
• I disliked the staff who were not willing to bring a bandage to our room for a bleeding finger. They told us we had to come down to the lobby area.

“This hotel is near great restaurants and convenient shopping. Parking is convenient. However, do not expect great service. If you are a business traveler just looking for somewhere to crash for the night, this is a great place. However, if you are looking for great service, good amenities, and luxury, I would not recommend this hotel.”

• This hotel was noisy; I could hear my neighbors and people in the halls.

“Overall, this hotel was perfectly fine for my purposes: it was conveniently located right next to the highway, and there were several inexpensive restaurants within walking distance. It appeared to be clean, and the hotel personnel were friendly and helpful, if a bit overwhelmed by the many people trying to check in at the same time. I found I could hear people in the halls, as well as my neighbors' showers.”

• The bed was very comfortable, shower good.
• No complaints at all.

“We were impressed with the quality of the bed and linens, and although we had stayed at the same hotel three years earlier, felt the place had improved considerably. Food in the restaurant (had breakfast there) was fairly priced and the coffee very good.”

• They upgraded me to the suite and it was fabulous. My husband flew in and met me for a great weekend.
• I was there for school and needed to print and none of the printers worked in the business center and no one knew how to take a flash drive and print.

“Pretty good, not great food in the restaurant, but the location was great for my needs, and the employees were superbly nice, need some computer training, but overall a good experience.”
