• Excellent room, excellent location.
• Unkept, unclean hotel entrances.

“A 45 minute wait at the front desk to check in was a big disappointment. Nothing was done to make up for this. Lots of spider webs and spiders in the entrances. Other than that the hotel met my expectation in the room, location, and what the room provided.”

• The kitchenette.
• The hotel was dusty, and we noticed a good amount of dust and dirt.

“This is an adequate place to stay if you are not looking for anything fancy. My wife and I needed a place to spend a few hours before our event, and then sleep afterwards. The hotel met our needs perfectly. This is an economy hotel, and the guest should expect to get just that. The hotel was slightly dusty and dirty. A good cleaning would improve the experience. Expect to encounter long term business travelers, who might be taking advantage of being away from home.”

• Clean, nice rooms, friendly staff.
• Locks did not work at both of the two hotels.

“Great rooms. Convenient off-interstate access. Near restaurants and grocery stores. Nice kitchens in rooms with living space - ideal for short vacations with cooking facilities. Unfortunately, the locking bolt did not slide in either of the hotel rooms where I stayed. The staff did offer to relocate me to another room. Internet access disconnected after 11pm - family time? Overall, a pleasant experience, aided by eager to please staff.”

• This hotel was awesome, it has everything we needed.
• The bedding was old and had a lot of holes in it.

“Since I was familiar with the area it was easy for me to get to but I can see how confusing it would be for some. The staff was incredible and there are many places that deliver food to the hotel if you don't feel like using the kitchen that is provided in the room.”

• Beds comfortable and pillows were comfortable.
• Smoke detector in room removed from wall. Room had overwhelming smoke smell and windows did not stay open they were broken.

“Good location, comfortable bed and pillows. room suffered from neglect, windows did not work, no remote for TV, stale smoke odor with smoke detector torn from wall. I had trouble breathing in room from smoke smell. Front desk brought up bottle of Lysol. It did not help.”

• It was convenient to the Philadelphia bus line.
• We were told there was an airport shuttle - there was not.

“It was just okay - no extras. I would not choose to stay there again.”

• The very accommodating front desk clerk.
• My non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke.

“First and foremost, though this hotel is close to the airport, it does not accommodate travelers, and you cannot get to the airport easily. I booked an airport hotel because I wanted to get to/from easily when I returned my rental car the night before, and then to get to my morning flight. This hotel has no shuttle, so I begged a ride on one of the other hotel's shuttles (Hampton Inn) after returning my rental car, and was forced to call a cab the next morning. As a result of this inconvenience, I would not stay at this hotel again. On another note, my first room reeked of cigarette smoke when I walked into it even though it was a non-smoking room. When I called the front desk, they were pretty full, got me moved to another room that did not smell of smoke.”

• No transportation to the airport? Yet an airport hotel surrounded by other properties that do.

• I am a non-smoker, but smell a little bite of cigar smoke in the corridor.

• I like Extended Stay America, because no matter where I stay, I know what to expect when I stay at one.
• I didn't like being charged $4.99 for Wi-Fi access when many hotels offer it for free.

“I was pleased with the hotel. I always enjoy my stay at Extended Stay America because the rooms are always clean and the hotel quite no matter if it's in Los Angels or Philadelphia. The rooms are a comfortable size, and I like that they always have a nice comfortable chair and ottoman for watching TV and kitchenette with large fridge. I find the rates reasonable.”

• I was inexpensive and accessible to the airport.
• The hotel room was not very clean.

“The staff was very friendly. They were extremely helpful in getting me from the airport to the hotel. They gave me some tips that saved me money. The hotel room and the common spaces were not very clean. The towels and the shower in the room were dingy, so much so, that I didn't use the shower.”

“I would not recommend this hotel - the room had holes in the walls, no hairdryers and was very dirty. There was only 1 restaurant in the area. Hotel staff was too busy talking on cell phones and hanging out with friends (non employees) to answer questions or provide any service.”

“I was given a key to an occupied room resulting in a great deal of yelling. The entire place smelled like cigarette smoke. One thin blanket with no bedspread. Very low class!”

“The hotel which you provided me was providing the same room at only 50$/night. And you charged me 77.81.the self experience is the best experience. There was not soap, shampoo, shower gel or face wash or tooth paste in the room. Heater was not working properly. Cockroaches were roaming here and where. After all the great experience at extended stay America. Philadelphia.”

• I did like the outside and location of the hotel.
• I did nothing the conditions of the rooms, bed, linen, kitchen, bathroom cleanliness and room was not updated.

“The hotel had very poor conditions in the rooms. The linen on the bedding was used; bed was not good for support to the back. The restroom was not equipped towels, soap etc.”

“It was a great choice for me because I had a 5 a.m. flight out of the Philadelphia airport. The location was wonderful, about 5 minutes and I was at the airport.”

• Many fixtures in room did not work.

“Although the staff was helpful and friendly, this hotel fell far below my expectations. Light fixtures didn't work, cigarette burns on bed cover, drafty windows, holes and patches on walls. I do not recommend this hotel as it will disappoint.”

“The first room I tried had a bath leak. There was a huge lake of water coming out of the bath and into the entry. The room in which I stayed had sticky floors. The table top was covered with spilled soft drink that had not been wiped up. The TV and remote were at the end of their life cycles. I slept in my clothes because with all that I had observed, I really didnt trust that the bedding was clean.”

• Comfortable.
• Very hard to get a taxi to the airport even though it's only 2 3 minutes drive. The taxi who came after 30 minutes asked for $15 for this 1 mile trip!

“In general, it is quiet, clean and comfortable as a 1 2 star hotel. I'll recommend it. But people who want to the airport should be very careful, they don't have shuttle and the taxi seems not willing to come for this short trip. As in my case, I waited 30 minutes for a taxi to come, and it's just because somebody took that taxi to a hotel nearby. Worse, the driver asked for $15 for this 1 mile trip. You don't have choice at all.”

• The shower was hot enough to scald a pig and powerful enough to knock down a grown man.
• Someone's car was broken into in the parking lot.

“If you need a no frills place to crash or conduct business from, this hotel will do it. For the price level, I was pleased with the kitchenette. Everything was fairly new and clean.”

“The ESA is a low priced stay however the rooms are filthy. My room the tub had about 10 pounds of filth in it and the floor wasn't swept. My whole sat morning was wasted because I couldn't wash because of a dirty tub. The cooking utensils and coffee pot were dirty. Room service lied and says they thoroughly cleaned the room however they didn't.”

• Front desk was friendly and they had security patrolling outside.
• Urine in the toilet when I arrived, rundown filthy kitchen area, no lobby to speak.

“I would not stay in an extended stay America without seeing it first. Upon my arrival, after a long day at the office, there was a run down dirty bathroom with urine in the toilet. I called the front desk several times and there was no answer. I did check in at approx. 9:30pm, however, no one answered. Also, I would never even consider using the kitchen area which was a all stayed and the laminate on the counter was nasty and falling apart. I also called the front desk again at approx. 10pm to schedule a wake up call an there was again no answer. The front desk was friendly when I checked in and out; however, the condition of the room and the lack of response on the phone speaks for itself. I was disappointed in the condition of the room and I would never choose this hotel again.”
