  • Price from Priceline.
  • Went down for the breakfast. I was not eligible for free breakfast and I paid $13.50.

“Don't expect to get smoking if you book it. Dont expect to get king size bed if you book it. As for free breakfast buffet due to being a discount customer they charge you 13.50 for it and it was not worth it. I only ate one time during my 3 day stay. They entrance is very hard to find at night and I missed it and had to turn around twice to get into parking lot.”

“My experience at this hotel was OK. No problems to report. Quick, friendly check in, including the wonderful, warm, famous Doubletree cookies. The one negative I experienced was the size of the room. A corner room, was very small. I originally thought that the corner location would mean a larger room, but that was not the case. I'm not sure what the size of the other rooms was. The room was clean and had nice Neutrogena toiletries. Of course, the standard, wonderfully comfortable bed. Flat screen TV. A big plus was the location of the hotel, which was excellent. It is within walking distance of the Concord Mall, and on a strip with almost every other store and restaurant imaginable. I would stay again, but would request a non corner room.”

  • I loved the hospitality and location.
  • Rooms not as nice as expected, as marble though.

“This was a nice hotel. It had an awesome location. Right next door to the mall, many restaurants, and other places to shop. It was close to the major interstates and right near the city. The room in the hotel was bitter sweet. It was very neat with desk, lounge chair and ottoman, LCD TV and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The bathroom and dresser had marble counter tops which was nice. My only real complaint about the room itself, was the lack of a fridge, microwave, or one being available in the hotel at all. You had to pay additional to use either of the two. Last but not least, the cookies they give you a check-in are AWESOME (i don't even eat sweets). While I enjoyed my stay.”

“Quite possibly the worst Doubletree that I have ever stayed at. The walls were paper thin, my bedside lamp's light bulb was broken and the alarm clock was broken. The people were very nice and the bed was comfortable, the food was below average. I am accustomed to higher standards at Doubletree and I have stayed at many of them.”

  • The Front Desk staff was very nice and the bar was well above average.
  • There was hair on the bathroom floor.

“This hotel was very nice. We were greeted with a very friendly front desk staff. Our room was nice; there was a slight damp smell to it and hair on the bathroom floor. The bar was great and the food above average. The pool looked great and was very clean. The location was great, right next to a small but nice mall.”

But there are three great eating places right across the street, be careful in walking as street is very busy and fast.”

“The hotel was good overall. The Neutrogena products was great, the bed comfortable. It was next to a mall and easy to get to. There was also a business center which I was able to use (there was an out of order sign on the door the entire time I was there, but staff worked, so I used it). The flat screen HD television was great! I did not use room service, but am glad it was available. I stayed for Saturday night and then asked another room for Friday night. I found out I had to check out/check in again for my stay for the second night (my key ceased to work in the meantime). You may want to make sure you let your customers know this may need to be done at the hotel they are staying at. The back of the bathroom door was splattered with dirty water stains. I stepped on a piece of metal in my room (no, I did not put it there.), it punctured my heel and bled. I called the front desk and they were responsive by providing me bandages, alcohol pads and triple antibiotic ointment. I would stay there again, compared to the Microtel in West Chester (dangerous and ugly) or the Extended Stay in Malvern (dirty and disgusting).”

“The hotel is difficult to find. It took me 2 hours to locate it even with printed directions and directions from several people along the way. By the time I got to the hotel, all restaurants were closed and I had to eat fast food near by. I've stayed at the Doubletree in Downtown Wilmington, which was much better. The internet was $10! It should be free for business travelers. The room was also extremely small.”

“I spend a lot of time in the Wilmington area to see a loved one, and whenever I am in town I usually stay at the Doubletree. I would always recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are great, the staff is very polite and accommodating, and the overall feel of the hotel is upscale and lavish. I am already looking forward to the next time I get to stay there!”

  • The elevators need to be cooler (temperature wise) and spruced up.

The one thing that possibly could be considered a draw back was that there was a wedding there and parking was a bit tough the first night. They may wish to hire valets for those situations.”

“The hotel was very nice and clean. Hotel corridors were too warm to be comfortable. No complimentary continental breakfast, though? A cold breakfast for $9.99? Too expensive for what was offered. The reception area clerks were distant and seemed put off by those of us who were in town for the local NASCAR race (in Dover the next day). Not all NASCAR fans are stupid trailer park trash or loudmouth drunks. I felt that we, as a whole, were looked down upon, despite the fact that we were paying the same rates, or more, for our rooms as those that were there from the NAACP.”

  • Hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly, efficient, and accommodating.
  • Hotel had an unusual odor, room fan was very noisy, lobby music was playing all night long and could be heard in my room.

“This hotel is in the process of being renovated. There were workers in the lobby throughout my stay. Until the hotel renovations are complete I'm not sure I would recommend this hotel to someone. The staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. I ate in the restaurant at breakfast and the buffet was average, nothing very special.”

“The hotel exceeded my expectations for cleanliness and convenience. The room we had was unfortunately situated on the same floor as a wedding party that was apparently celebrating a wee bit in excess and we were unable to get good night sleep. I would stay at this facility again, but insist on a curfew for guests out of control with merry-making. Up-to-date and attractive facility.”

  • The restaurants had excellent food before the remodel.

“Hotel looks beautiful since it's been redone! A+. The staff is still as super nice as always! A+. The restaurant changes are not for the better. We ate the breakfast buffet before the remodel and it was value packed! We ate at the Palette after the remodel and it was not nearly as good. The buffet food that should be hot was not, bacon was soggy, no biscuits and gravy - needs work. It was $23 for this breakfast and the best part was the coffee which was excellent and the new coffee cups are wonderful! I would take the old atmosphere to get the hot and tasty old menu back anyday.”
