  • Staff is very helpful and courteous.
  • Not much of a complaint had to pay for parking not too expensive.

  • The fitness room was closed due to renovations.

  • Location, staff, parking, cleanliness, DSL hookup, there is not one redeeming quality.

“This was on my top ten list of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It was drafty and dirty. The hallway was poorly lighted. The key card would not work in the door unless you giggled the handle. Very dissatisfied. I will never bid for Brand wine area in Wilmington Delaware again.”

  • Undesirable neighborhood, validate parking at front desk each time out.

  • The only positive is that it promises 5M in renovations soon.
  • This hotel was a Wyndham and has steadily deteriorated over the years.

“This is a typical former mid-upscale chain hotel that has become private. The hotel has steadily become a worn and tired hotel. From towels to carpet it needs a major renovation.”

  • The staff tried to correct the many difficulties we encountered.
  • The hotel is very disorganized and things are just not well thought out.

“It was a nice property, with a convenient location. The room was clean, but was missing linen for the sleeper sofa. When we asked for some, they responded quickly, but with no blankets. Parking was very difficult, and they actually shut off the elevators to the parking garage on weekends, not that they would bother telling you that or posting a sign. Staff tried to fix these things, but they need to get organized.”

  • The room was nice. For downtown Wilmington very good.
  • Elevators were dirty, smelled of smoke and were musty. People at desk were not the best.

“In general the hotel was not a bad experience. It is located in downtown Wilmington, which is not the best place to stay as a woman on business by yourself. Parking was very expensive for DE. Room was nicely decorated, but a little run down. Hotel needs a good cleaning in general areas, and staff should not act like it is a burden to deal with someone calling in. Need to ask if someone has to have non-smoking. Other than that not a bad experience.”

“I was extremely disappointed in the hotel. The 1st room we were in had wet carpet and we had to move to the room next door. The towels in the room were also dirty. They offered us no compensation for the horrible 1st night in the hotel. The hallway carpets were stained, the wallpaper was peeling off of the wall, and there was mold in the shower. This was nowhere near a 3* hotel.”

  • The friendly staff and the over all apperance of the hotel.
  • I did not like that they did not have a free breakfest .

  • The room was neat and clean.
  • My spouse suffers from back pain, and the bed did not help. Also the one time I needed lotion,none available in the room ,but it had 4 bars of soap,

“ In my opinion,the regular hotel room rate exceeds the value. There was nothing special about the hotel or the room. The lobby was quite simple (with a bowl of artificial fruit) and the room was neat and clean, which was expected.”

  • Desk Manager and staff was nice but facility was below par.
  • Far less than a three star hotel! Parking an additional fee.

“This hotel was NOT as advertised! It is definetely NOT a three star hotel. It has not been updated, hotel room had stained carpet, molding and wallpaper coming off wall, bathroom tile and grout needed replacement. No table with chair, big empty space in room. Not inviting or restful space. Restaurant closed on Saturday morning for a private party, no breakfast option. ”

  • It is at the edge of a less safe section of town

“The hotel was fairly clean. I used my hair dryer and all the circuits blew in my room. Also, the bathtub had lots of mold on the tile walls. Otherwise, ok”

“In most cases, the star-rating is in line with the quality i would expect. This hotel however was not at that level. The shower was dirty and malfunctioning, the room missing furnature, and the lighting poor. Hopefully, this review will help bump them down in star-level.”

“The hotel cable service was missing some standard channels, such as the WB and FX. I found the absence of these channels surprising, especially since the hotel had two pay channels (Showtime and Starz). Otherwise, the hotel was fine. Decent wines in the bar and friendly service.”

“Very clean and friendly, nice restaurant. A little on the pricey side but I understand there were several local events going on that drove up prices. We very much enjoyed the hotel, convenient parking, and easy check-in/check-out.”

“The Wynndom Wilmington has a great staff. Unfortunately they did not disclose that parking costs $9 a day, phone calls were .75 cents each for local and much higher for long distance, and that the movies were outrageously priced at $26. I would have stayed at any alternative given the extra unexpected parking fee.”

“The rooms are comfortable but in need of refurbishing. The bathroom in particular, though completely clean, was looking a little worse for the wear. The towels were more of what one would expect at a one-star hotel than what they call a three-star hotel.
However, visitors should be aware that the only way to get that is to be a member of their frequent guest program and sign on that way. You can not become a member unless you are signed on, so you have to pay for at least one day at $9.95.In the future, I might broaden my search to see what else I could get in Wilmington, but I certainly wouldn't be disappointed to end up at the Wyndham again.”
