David from Coopersburg, PA
“Very nice and clean. Was surprised by the quality of the hotel for the price we paid.” Jun 7, 2006 by
La'Nette from Jamica, NY
“The hotel was very clean and located in the heart of downtown Wilmington where everything is a short drive away. The front desk staff was very helpful.” Jun 1, 2006 by
Bob from Hauppauge, NY
“I had an excellent time at the Doubletree. All my expectations were met or exceeded.” Dec 29, 2005 by
Dave from Germantown, TN
“Nice enough, but needs a bit of renovating and sprucing up as I understand is planned soon. I would stay here again.” Dec 7, 2005 by
Paris from Bridgeville, DE
“This was on my top ten list of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It was drafty and dirty. The hallway was poorly lighted. The key card would not work in the door unless you giggled the handle. Very dissatisfied. I will never bid for Brand wine area in Wilmington Delaware again.” Nov 16, 2005 by
Helen from Rockaway, NJ
“No restaurants in the area, inconvenient parking arrangements, the area surrounding the hotel is run down, staff was friendly and accommodating.” Nov 9, 2005 by
Dave from Rehoboth Beach, DE
“This is a typical former mid-upscale chain hotel that has become private. The hotel has steadily become a worn and tired hotel. From towels to carpet it needs a major renovation.” Nov 3, 2005 by
Sherri from River Vale, NJ
“It was a nice property, with a convenient location. The room was clean, but was missing linen for the sleeper sofa. When we asked for some, they responded quickly, but with no blankets. Parking was very difficult, and they actually shut off the elevators to the parking garage on weekends, not that they would bother telling you that or posting a sign. Staff tried to fix these things, but they need to get organized.” Sep 17, 2005 by
Pamela from Lewes, DE
“In general the hotel was not a bad experience. It is located in downtown Wilmington, which is not the best place to stay as a woman on business by yourself. Parking was very expensive for DE. Room was nicely decorated, but a little run down. Hotel needs a good cleaning in general areas, and staff should not act like it is a burden to deal with someone calling in. Need to ask if someone has to have non-smoking. Other than that not a bad experience.” Aug 20, 2005 by
Teresa from Balitmore, MD
“I was extremely disappointed in the hotel. The 1st room we were in had wet carpet and we had to move to the room next door. The towels in the room were also dirty. They offered us no compensation for the horrible 1st night in the hotel. The hallway carpets were stained, the wallpaper was peeling off of the wall, and there was mold in the shower. This was nowhere near a 3* hotel.” Aug 7, 2005 by
Carol from California, MD
“Over all the hotel was one of the nicest I have stayed in. It was nice having a pool where my children could swim.” Jun 8, 2005 by
Rosa from Webster, NY
“ In my opinion, the regular hotel room rate exceeds the value. There was nothing special about the hotel or the room. The lobby was quite simple (with a bowl of artificial fruit) and the room was neat and clean, which was expected.” Jun 8, 2005 by
Denise from Skaneateles, NY
“This hotel was NOT as advertised! It is definetely NOT a three star hotel. It has not been updated, hotel room had stained carpet, molding and wallpaper coming off wall, bathroom tile and grout needed replacement. No table with chair, big empty space in room. Not inviting or restful space. Restaurant closed on Saturday morning for a private party, no breakfast option. ” Jun 6, 2005 by
Victor from Southlake, TX
“I would not stay in Wilmington again. I did not like the area.” Jun 5, 2005 by
Ed R. from Sylvan Lake, MI
“Hotel is adequate for short term trips. Staff is friendly, but rooms could be cleaner especially the carpet. Food is average.” Feb 9, 2005 by
George from Felton, DE
“Older hotel. the room was generally excellent. We did not use any of the hotel's facilities other than the parking garage.” Jan 6, 2005 by
Mary E. from Auburn, NY
“Very nice rooms at a great price and location.” Dec 6, 2004 by
Leigh N. from Alpharetta “The hotel was fairly clean. I used my hair dryer and all the circuits blew in my room. Also, the bathtub had lots of mold on the tile walls. Otherwise, ok” Dec 3, 2004 by
Ryan A. from Madison “In most cases, the star-rating is in line with the quality i would expect. This hotel however was not at that level. The shower was dirty and malfunctioning, the room missing furnature, and the lighting poor. Hopefully, this review will help bump them down in star-level.” Oct 4, 2004 by
Jennifer M. from Ann Arbor, MI “The hotel cable service was missing some standard channels, such as the WB and FX. I found the absence of these channels surprising, especially since the hotel had two pay channels (Showtime and Starz). Otherwise, the hotel was fine. Decent wines in the bar and friendly service.” Sep 29, 2004 by
Stacey N. from New York, NY “Very clean and friendly, nice restaurant. A little on the pricey side but I understand there were several local events going on that drove up prices. We very much enjoyed the hotel, convenient parking, and easy check-in/check-out.” Sep 16, 2004 by
“The Wynndom Wilmington has a great staff. Unfortunately they did not disclose that parking costs $9 a day, phone calls were .75 cents each for local and much higher for long distance, and that the movies were outrageously priced at $26. I would have stayed at any alternative given the extra unexpected parking fee.” Sep 9, 2004 by
Lena E. from South Ozone Park “It was my first time staying at the Wyndham, and everything was nice and clean. Parking was right under the hotel, and free! Great place!” Sep 7, 2004 by
Michael S. from Berlin “Nice, clean, well-appointed. Would definitely stay again.” Sep 6, 2004 by
Christopher B. from New York, NY “The rooms are comfortable but in need of refurbishing. The bathroom in particular, though completely clean, was looking a little worse for the wear. The towels were more of what one would expect at a one-star hotel than what they call a three-star hotel. Hotel Representatives:
