• Nothing, out of the way, parking not secure.
• The hotel was out of the way, not a safe neighborhood, parking not secure.

“We were charged 20.00 for no reason. The parking was not secure, the entrance was not secure, had to walk in the rain from the parking to get to the hotel, not very well lit, and in a not so desirable area of town. The noise woke us up at 6 am, alarms going off from some alarm in a room on our floor, elevator not large enough, when we asked the staff for directions they were not well informed, we will not stay at this hotel again or refer our family or friends to stay here.”

• the staff was very accomidating
• a few vagrants outside bugging us, but once we told staff, they were gone

• The bed was excellent, overall clean, quiet & friendly.
• No fault of the hotel but the city in itself remains a safety issue.

“Courtyard Marriott downtown Wilmington is a great deal on Priceline. There is safe free parking (at least on weekends). The king size bed was very comfortable for two could barely notice the other person. There is free wireless in the rooms which is a definite plus. There is a nice little café right around the corner called Presto Gourmet with local yuppies there. You can play board games and with free Internet access also.”

• Speedy check-in, staff asked if they could validate parking ticket. Excellent staff.

• Pay for parking, no breakfast and
  no pool.

“Hotel is not bad by itself. Gym was good. But you have to pay for parking, breakfast and no pool available. I would prefer Residence Inn.”

• It was quiet, clean, accommodating.
• I have an Econoline van, which does not fit in the parking garage -parking was a major issue.

“Hotel staff was excellent, room was a bit small but extremely clean great shower, the only problem for me was parking my truck has roof racks would not fit in garage, there is crime in area concerned about parking on street, staff let me park in alley of hotel.”

• The hotel was very classy and very clean.
• The location was downtown and it had no valet parking.

• I was pleasantly surprised. Neighborhood better than I thought it would be.
• Parking garage attendant was a jerk. (Not associated with hotel).

“The hotel was a little difficult to get to due to the Downtown location, but it was a high quality place to stay. I would recommend it for weekend travel.”

“The hotel is nicely decorated with friendly staff, and is in a great location. I was truly surprised at the luxury of it. The only downside is the parking lot, which was not located at the hotel.”

• The staff at this hotel was very friendly and accommodating.
• The television did not allow a DVD hook-up because of Lodge net.

“The hotel was very clean and very nice. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. We were fortunate that we were there for Friday and Saturday night as it turns out those are the only complimentary nights at the parking garage. Other nights are rather expensive. We also thought that the website showed a beautiful indoor pool. There is no pool, but they do get passes to the YMCA which is 1.5 blocks away. There is another Courtyard Marriott which is apparently the one with the indoor pool. Again, though, I will say the experience was a good one as the staff made it so!”

“We had a wonderful experience at the courtyard by Marriot Wilmington. The people who worked there were all friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again.”

“I'd like to thank tom and his team for a wonderful 3 night stay. I visited 3 other hotels in the area and this was by far the best value, the friendliest staff and a great location. The hotel staff was all extremely helpful, friendly and really seemed to enjoy their job and it shows.”

• The front desk folks were very kind and helpful.
• It was right next to a mini-ghetto.

“We spent very little time in the hotel, so we didn't give it a thorough test. We were happy with the free parking in a garage adjacent to the hotel. The hotel caused us no hardship and was comfortable.”

“It was wonderful. Just off the interstate, comfortable beds, quite environment, beautiful decor, and friendly staff. We did not eat at the hotel but it looked very good. We enjoyed being in downtown Wilmington and close enough to enjoy Philadelphia. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.”

• I liked that the hotel and room were modern.
• Bathroom smelled like someone just had used it. Room smelled like someone had just smoked in it.

“I was most unhappy with the service of the staff at this hotel. The hotel itself met my expectations. However, the garage is in a separate building that you have to access from the outside. I was told that valet parking was $10/day and after I parked my own car I was still billed the $10. When I called the front desk, the person was rude and said that I either pay the $10 they charge or I have to pay the $16 the garage charges on their own. He then directed me to stop at the front desk at 7am when the manager came in. The manager waived the $10 but the experience was a hassle. In addition, the bathroom smelled like someone just used it and the room smelled like cigar smoke.”

• Very close to my business meeting.
• I had to change rooms 3 times due to hotel issues.

“I was first placed in a handicapped room which wasn't a problem, until I looked out the window and saw a view of a dirty brick wall, then I was awakened at 8 am by drilling and pounding outside the window of my new room, they were placing a new courtyard Marriott sign right outside my window, the next room was directly above the first with the same view, then finally they moved me to the 10th floor, same view, but higher up than the first, I was tired of complaining by this time so I settled for the room.”

• Front desk staff very helpful and friendly
• Sometimes non-hotel people tried to use bathroom - had to be chased. Secure Door better/require key !!

“Nice hotel in a nice location. Everything went smoothly. Front desk wonderful. Beautiful lobby, nice room. I think hotel should require a room key to get inside building. Some undesirables" came in to use bathroom (as I was in lobby on way out for day). A bit unsettling - the staff chased them out but hotel guests had to witness it. Unsettling because these "undesirables" were rude and cursed, etc as they exited hotel (right infront of me!) Not pleasant ! Requiring a room key solves the problem ! Otherwise, stay was truly wonderful and pleasant.”
