• Location, size of rooms, in house restaurant, pool table.
• Underground parking spaces much too narrow. More thorough cleaning of our room. Replenishments etc. Presentation of in room services was lacking.

“Overall nice atmosphere, the rooms were spacious and the king size bed was excellent. Friendly staff as well. Underground parking was a bit expensive and maneuvering a midsize car was a challenge because of the spacing of the parking spots.”

“Nice rooms, good location, overpriced food in restaurant, could definitely use a more up to date business center with more than one computer. The gift shop was very bare. More personal items in the bathroom such as multiple shampoos, soaps, etc. I had one of each needed more.”

• Great room.
• Fridge did not work, and they argued with me over it. However, they did move me, and gave me a free breakfast for the trouble.

“The room was spacious -really was a suite. The fridge did not work. I had blue ice in the freezer part, and it totally thawed. They tried to tell me, it was defrosting, and on automatic, and would restart, but was like that for 24 hours. They did move me; finally They did give me a free breakfast, for the trouble. It was clean. It was quiet.”

“Best place I stayed at in a long time. This was our second time staying at this hotel and when ever I go to Philly again I will stay there. the people were friendly, the place was very clean, and the rooms were great the bed was the best hotel bed we ever slept in”

• Parking fees were variable and not disclosed in advance.

“The hotel was centrally located in downtown Wilmington and was very well appointed especially for the business traveler. Suites were spacious and modern and the bed was very comfortable. Surprisingly even the bottled water supplied to the room was complimentary. The first room we were assigned reeked of smoke (we requested non-smoking) and we initially were told there were no other rooms available until I insisted that my wife was allergic to cigarette smoke. As with most downtown locations there was an extra charge for parking.”

• Difficult parking situation and additional cost is undesirable.

“The room met my expectations, but the additional $10 - $15 per day cost for parking in a public garage that was extremely tight and difficult to maneuver in was unsatisfactory. Additionally, $9.95 per day for internet service is a bit high for this day and age.”

• Pay for parking, couch a bit dirty.

“A solid hotel, a better choice for the downtown area, seemed in safe area relatively speaking. The suite is good size and bed comfortable. Bath is nice and was clean.”

• It was beautiful, the room was spacious and the secure parking was a nice touch.
• The parking garage; tight spaces meant I scratched my brand new car.

“Gorgeous hotel! Nice, spacious room with elegant touches throughout. Pool was a little small for the size of the hotel, but overall a great place to stay. I would stay again when in the area, especially with the great deal.”

“The Wilmington suites were a wonderful place to spend any length of time. I used the fitness room in the am and went to the hotel restaurant. Everything was wonderful.”

• Comfortable suite, very comfortable bed.
• Room Cleanliness - Carpet and Sofa strained, dirty.

“Overall satisfactory although we were slightly disappointed. The carpet and sofa were stained and dirty to the extent that we covered the sofa with a blanket before we sat on it. Some floors were blocked based on our key and that made finding ice an adventure as we were unable to go to the floors that the guest directory said had ice machines.”

• Easy access, spacious room.
• No water in hotel for last night of stays--yuck!

“While accidents and unforeseen difficulties are part of life, having to walk across the street to the YMCA shower, or use the facilities, are so far below the standards one expects to be met at a 3-star hotel, that one, at the very least, expects a refund for the night's stay. No such offer was made after an entire night and morning without so much as a flush of water at the Sheraton suites in Wilmington, and I cannot in good conscience recommend a hotel that does not treat its guests with the full measure of respect they deserve.”

• The layout of the suite was excellent.
• The carpet was filthy and stained, as was the sofa.

“This hotel needs to work on their cleanliness. The carpet in the room was filthy and stained, as was the sofa. I had to put the sheet from the extra bed over the sofa before I could sit on it. Not once was the bathroom cleaned to my expectations. The pool needed work, as a light was hanging out of the pool by the electrical connections. You get free internet access at moderately priced hotels, but were expected to pay $10 a day for internet access here! (And $15 a day for parking!) Funny how those things are free in less expensive hotels!”

• The room had pleasing decoration/set up.
• No hot water, Out of control wedding party, felt unsafe.

“I can't describe the level of disappointment that such an expensive, well-rated hotel would not have hot water at all. The surrounding area felt unsafe walking back from our restaurant. The wedding party was loud, obnoxious, drunk, and a little out of control. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. The location is convenient.”

“From my experience, this is a much worn hotel where attention to cleanliness and customer service is spotty. There was no dinner available as the restaurant was closed the night I arrived.”

• The location was convenient. Good staff-nice cocktail hour.
• Not the best of neighborhoods after dark.

“The hotel was well maintained with a great staff. The rooms were better than we had expected and I would stay there again. The lobby was well maintained as was the entire hotel. It was easy to reach all the attractions in the area. Our cleaning lady was so helpful and friendly. The front desk was a doll as was everyone else. We really like the cocktail party on Tuesday nights.”

• The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the hotel itself was attractively decorated and clean.
• The pool was too cold!

“Comfortable hotel, convenient to the area's cultural attractions. The immediate area is very urban, bordering on seedy, and not much to walk to. Also not a lot of good restaurants in the area. The hotel itself is nicer than the area. The pool just needs updating!”

• The room was large, comfortable, and very nicely decorated. Very clean.
• The pluming seems to need updating. Pipes made loud noise at times.

“This hotel was very convenient to everything in the New Castle Area. Lovely room, very nice decorations, very clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend if you need to be in Wilmington DE. Parking was a little high at $15.00 a night. Hotel staff were not very helpful in finding a good restaurant in the area. When in fact there were several.”

• The view from the room was not the best.

“I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very large and they have the most comfortable beds! Our stay here was fantastic!”

• The rooms were better than I expected and the hotel staff was very helpful regarding local eateries.
• The restaurant was over priced for the food quality. I did not like paying $15.00 per night for hotel parking when the hotel had parking on site.

• Still charging for Wifi while other Sheratons do not.

“Great room, but still holding onto the antiquated model of charging for Wifi. Also, parking garage spaces are marked very narrow. Hard to park cars larger than "mid-size/intermediate" if you are a renter.”

• The hotel was immaculate; it was comfortable and conveniently located.
• While, the main objectives were more than met for our stay one of the two exercise bikes was not tracking the exercise.

“My husband and my two nieces and I enjoyed a comfortable stay at the Sheraton suites in Wilmington, de. The room was immaculate, large and attractive. We had a bedroom that opened up into a living room and overlooked a small park. We were able to make coffee in the morning and heat up cereal for the girls. Although we did not have time for the heated pool, it looked very inviting. There was a hook up for a laptop. Finally, the hotel was conveniently located to the attractions we visited (Longwood gardens and winter thur).”

• Bellman was very nice, the bed was comfortable, and the towels were nice.
• Room not ready, terrible parking, furniture & bedspread dirty, smoke free room not smoke free, pool falling apart, full service bar had no ginger ale.

• Very nice sized suite.
• Unable to get another night at a reasonable rate.

“Conveniently located high rise hotel near 95 and downtown business locations. Parking available below the hotel for a reasonable fee. Rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. The bed was very comfortable with quality linen. Availability of restaurants within walking distance limited.”

• This hotel was elegant, extravagant, clean and convenient. The staff was extremely accommodating Would return!
• There were no negatives that I can think of.

“Everything about our stay at this hotel was wonderful. It met all our expectations and more. It was elegant, extravagant and very convenient to the river front. The staff was very helpful and accommodating The parking ramp was accessible and we felt it was very safe. We would definitely return.”

• Parking was not free... it was another $10

“Great hotel, within 20 minutes of downtown Philadelphia. Very clean, beds were comfortable, seemed to be redecorated recently.”

• Horrendous parking lot - small & cramped.

“The suites are nicely appointed. The rooms are very spacious and kept very clean. The beds are very comfortable and linens are also good quality. Parking is awful. The underground lot is very cramped, the stalls are very narrow and difficult to get in and out. On top of that there was a $10 a day parking charge. Also the hotel has ShowTime on TV and not full cable, with no access to a guide as to what is on any of the limited channels. There is a small indoors pool, but it was not kept overly tidy over the course of the day. To use your computer, they do not have wireless, you have to have a cable to plug in. Other than the parking, overall our stay was pleasant.”
