• Large room and a nice staff.
• Horrible signage, circled block repeatedly to find door as late arrival and front door closed! Uncomfortable chair & sofa.

“Helpful staff in large, well equipped room. Comfortable bed. Bathroom had some broken & loose tiles, mold in grout and uncomfortable chair & sofa. Entry into hotel was very difficult at night. Signage to use side door which could not be found. Drove around repeatedly with multiple one-way streets making long loop. Finally found entry through a door marked Enterprise car rental - no indication it was night entry to Sheeraton Suites.”

• I liked that there were two separate rooms (bedroom, living room).
• The location and the restaurants available after 9pm.

• The room was beautifully appointed.
• The parking garage is dimly lit with very narrow parking spaces.

“The hotel itself is beautiful. We loved the lobby and the room. The front desk staff was professional and knowledgeable. The hotel's immediate location seems safe but a walk just a few blocks away will have you moving your wallet to your side pocket or clutching your purse a little more tightly! Also, the parking garage is a bit of a problem. There's not enough light and the parking spaces are way too narrow. I wasn't thrilled about having to pay $16 extra for parking for our one night stay.”

• My husband was so pleased with the coffee in the room. Not only the convenience but the quality of it as well. The kids and I loved the beds.
• Lack of parking. We were unable to park in the garage on our second night and took a chance parking on street.

“For a family that does not travel often, we were very pleased with the accommodations. I actually wish we could have spent more time in the room but we were visiting family. The location was perfect for us and we found the city rather inviting. We would definitely stay here again.”

• Very large two-room suite.
• Absolutely the worst parking garage I've ever seen.

“The room was spacious and nicely decorated, and the price was very reasonable. My only complaint about the hotel is its parking garage, which was horrid. The spaces were all 2-3" too narrow for even compact cars, making door dings, scrapes & dents a complete inevitability. Every single wall & pillar in the entire garage was covered with paint scrapes from people's attempts at maneuvering. And on top of all that, they charge you $12 per night to park there.”

• Front desk personnel were friendly.
• It was under renovation.

“The pool was closed, parking was outrageous given that it's Wilmington, DE, we had to call (numerous times) for coffee for our room. There was a fire alarm during our stay and we walked down 16 flights of stairs with two kids, the toiletries were not replaced. Do you really want more.”

• I liked the views of the city on the top floor.
• The parking is under the hotel and very difficult to find.

“I have stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in Wilmington, Delaware three times in the last month. I found the staff at the front counter friendly. They were helpful with information about the city and where things could be found. I only had two things that were a bit of a bother. The parking at the hotel is very difficult to find and it was $17.00 a day. The other thing is that the pool wasn't available all three times I have stayed. I have small childrens and there is nothing for them at the hotel.”

• Restaurant & Gym under construction had to pay additional for parking.

“Rooms clean, Staff friendly. Was not informed ahead of time that renovations were being done at restaurant and fitness center. Was not advised that parking was additional at $17.00 a day. Not happy with that.”

• The rooms was spacious, clean with lots of amenities- 2 cable TVs, games, refrigerators, excellent bed, personalized air & heat, microwave, AWESOME.
• Still under construction, no room service even though they said there was any info on how to get around town in the lobby.

“I was very surprised how much I loved my stay. Good rate for an excellent hotel room. I just wish that room service and the restaurant had been available. Luckily- I bought my dinner before I got there and was able to heat it in the mini kitchen. Also, the prices for food at the hotel are super expensive anyway. So my little retreat in my hotel was the best thing about my trip. Just bring your own take-out and a bottle of wine, and then you're set. Oh, and don't try to check in early. Won't happen. But my room was spotless, worth the wait.”

• The location was excellent. Close to moderately priced eating places.
• Not convenient for shopping for sundries or other items that may have been left behind.

“The location and the hotel security were excellent. I felt safe and comfortable despite being in the center of the Downtown area. Location was close to major freeways and Amtrak Station. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. It was also a plus to have an in-room coffee pot and refrigerator for use.”

• Two room suites.
• Unheated three foot deep pool.

“Beautiful room and accommodations. The two room suite was a wonderful way to entertain friends without them having to be in your bedroom. Very helpful staff and great business area. The only difficulty with the hotel was the sounds of sirens blazing throughout the night in Downtown Wilmington, DE. The fitness facility was excellent, but the pool was cold and only was three feet at its deepest. Also, the room service ladies could not speak English at all, which made it very difficult. Parking must be in the garage (for safety) which is 18.00 a night, and the exit area is very difficult for mini vans to maneuver out of.”

• My room was clean and the staff was professional.
• This is a 3 plus star hotel and you pay for the hotel why in God's name should you have to pay to park your car in the hotel garage.

“I enjoyed my stay. It was clean and the staff very professional and helpful. The only downside as far as I was concerned was you paid for a 3 plus star hotel why in God's name should you have to pay $16.00/night to park your car in the hotel's garage.”

• Tuesday night guest appreciation party lobby had complimentary food, drinks and live acoustic guitarist.
• Some guests including myself experienced problem with room key not working in elevator.

“Clean, comfortable and spacious all suite hotel. Tasteful decor. Downtown location convenient to restaurants, theatres and a scenic park along Brandywine creek. Complimentary bottles of spring water in lobby. Guest appreciation party every Tuesday night with free food, drinks and live music.”

• Location, size of rooms, in house restaurant, pool table.
• Underground parking spaces much too narrow. More thorough cleaning of our room. Replenishments etc. Presentation of in room services was lacking.

“Overall nice atmosphere, the rooms were spacious and the king size bed was excellent. Friendly staff as well. Underground parking was a bit expensive and maneuvering a midsize car was a challenge because of the spacing of the parking spots.”

• Great room.
• Fridge did not work, and they argued with me over it. However, they did move me, and gave me a free breakfast for the trouble.

“The room was spacious -really was a suite. The fridge did not work. I had blue ice in the freezer part, and it totally thawed. They tried to tell me, it was defrosting, and on automatic, and would restart, but was like that for 24 hours. They did move me; finally They did give me a free breakfast, for the trouble. It was clean. It was quiet.”

“The hotel was centrally located in downtown Wilmington and was very well appointed especially for the business traveler. Suites were spacious and modern and the bed was very comfortable. Surprisingly even the bottled water supplied to the room was complimentary. The first room we were assigned reeked of smoke (we requested non-smoking) and we initially were told there were no other rooms available until I insisted that my wife was allergic to cigarette smoke. As with most downtown locations there was an extra charge for parking.”

• Room Cleanliness - Carpet and Sofa strained, dirty.

“Overall satisfactory although we were slightly disappointed. The carpet and sofa were stained and dirty to the extent that we covered the sofa with a blanket before we sat on it. Some floors were blocked based on our key and that made finding ice an adventure as we were unable to go to the floors that the guest directory said had ice machines.”

• Easy access, spacious room.
• No water in hotel for last night of stays--yuck!

“While accidents and unforeseen difficulties are part of life, having to walk across the street to the YMCA shower, or use the facilities, are so far below the standards one expects to be met at a 3-star hotel, that one, at the very least, expects a refund for the night's stay. No such offer was made after an entire night and morning without so much as a flush of water at the Sheraton suites in Wilmington, and I cannot in good conscience recommend a hotel that does not treat its guests with the full measure of respect they deserve.”

• The layout of the suite was excellent.
• The carpet was filthy and stained, as was the sofa.

“This hotel needs to work on their cleanliness. The carpet in the room was filthy and stained, as was the sofa. I had to put the sheet from the extra bed over the sofa before I could sit on it. Not once was the bathroom cleaned to my expectations. The pool needed work, as a light was hanging out of the pool by the electrical connections. You get free internet access at moderately priced hotels, but were expected to pay $10 a day for internet access here! (And $15 a day for parking!) Funny how those things are free in less expensive hotels!”

• The room had pleasing decoration/set up.
• No hot water, Out of control wedding party, felt unsafe.

“I can't describe the level of disappointment that such an expensive, well-rated hotel would not have hot water at all. The surrounding area felt unsafe walking back from our restaurant. The wedding party was loud, obnoxious, drunk, and a little out of control. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. The location is convenient.”

• I was given a very noisy room due to the adjacent mechanical room and generators outside the window.

“From my experience, this is a much worn hotel where attention to cleanliness and customer service is spotty. There was no dinner available as the restaurant was closed the night I arrived.”

• The location was convenient. Good staff-nice cocktail hour.
• Not the best of neighborhoods after dark.

“The hotel was well maintained with a great staff. The rooms were better than we had expected and I would stay there again. The lobby was well maintained as was the entire hotel. It was easy to reach all the attractions in the area. Our cleaning lady was so helpful and friendly. The front desk was a doll as was everyone else. We really like the cocktail party on Tuesday nights.”

• The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the hotel itself was attractively decorated and clean.
• The pool was too cold!

“Comfortable hotel, convenient to the area's cultural attractions. The immediate area is very urban, bordering on seedy, and not much to walk to. Also not a lot of good restaurants in the area. The hotel itself is nicer than the area. The pool just needs updating!”
