• Nice location. Nice room.
• The service. The toilet ran over. The sink was clogged. The room was not cleaned or trash emptied during my stay.

“This was the first hotel I have ever stayed at that the room was not cleaned, trash removed, clean towels placed, etc. I returned to my room at 7 PM, after a long day of sightseeing to find that the maid had not been there. I called the front desk who informed me that she had gone home early that day. The hotel did not offer any one else to clean, empty trash, replace linens. I had to go to the front desk to ask for clean towels, etc.”

• The pool stayed open an hour later while our group was swimming - very accommodating!
• While overall very clean, an update to tiles and ceiling is needed.

“The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean. Big difference in air conditioning between our room and the kids' room (ours was much cooler at same setting). The pool area was nice. Vending & ice machines were very convenient. It's too bad they didn't have continental breakfast- it would've been a nice benefit. All in all, it was a nice hotel.”

• Tiny bathroom and in need of upgrades.

“Perfect location for our needs, easy to get to. Staff had upgraded us to a room with a King bed, however with 3 adults, we really needed the 2 beds we'd requested. Room very small and outdated, and bathroom tiny! I would never stay here again, just because of the tiny bathroom. Couldn't use the shower because there's no place to get dressed privately afterwards, and the curved shower curtain, which is designed to give you more space in the shower, is installed many inches into the shower, so you actually lose room anyway. The tiles on the sink (which is in the room, not bathroom), and the coffee area are in need of repair and upgrading, too. Very disappointed.”

• The customer service of the hotel was unmatchable.
• No free breakfast, internet was very slow, & toilet seat always fell down if you were standing.

“I would never recommend this hotel. First, it is hard to get to because you have to do a U-turn. Then there is no breakfast offered, not even a donut. Spend 5 or then bucks extra and do yourself a favor and stay someplace else.”

• It was adequate. Seemed clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.
• Well. The room had a scent to it. Not bad. I Think it was the AC. Coffee machine wasn't working and took a while to get one brought to room. Finally did.

“The hotel overall was a decent place to stay. The staff were pretty helpful with information. The room was nice enough. Nice bed. As I said earlier the only think that did bother me was the fact that it took three attempts to get a coffee machine brought to the room. finally went to front desk and got one myself. As the cleaning lady was bringing one to my room! But she was nice and they were all friendly pleasant people working there.”

“Decent 2 star hotel. Good for the price. The room was very small and was tight for two people. Skip the room service for meals, we got an incomplete order and burnt toast. Great Sunday breakfast buffet. I would stay at this hotel again.”

• Location, having a computer in the lobby for guests use, friendliness and helpfulness of employees.
• Exercise room was in a remote area of the lowest floor. Felt kind of creepy and unsafe so I never used it.

• No left turn out of the parking lot.

“The hotel is close to US Route 220 with easy access. My room was quiet if somewhat cramped for space in the bathroom. Overall, it was a great experience.”

“This quality hotel ought to offer a continental breakfast as it is the same basic quality as other hotels that do offer this. We had a king nonsmoking room and it was very small. The free Wi-Fi was nice, though.”

• The staff was very helpful and had a pleasant attitude.
• Parking was difficult only solution was to valet park at $25 a night. No restaurant in hotel room service out of hotel.

• Very nice room with comfortable beds.
• The shower did not drain and it was reported to front desk, next day it was reported fixed. I tested it and still the same. Maintenance came again.

“The hotel is nice but needs to be updated to get it into the 21st century. Basic room with fancy decorations, nice beds, too small of a bath room and sink area. No closet space and no internet connection for my lap top, even though it was advertised to have this feature.”

• Banquet facilities & staff were great, accommodation, friendly for wedding reception held at this facility.
• Reserved a non smoking, king leisure room and got a very smoky, stained bathroom ceiling & cracks in the tub, room in the far corner of the hotel.

“We arrived very late on Friday night (midnight) were given a clean but very, very smoky room, obviously the last room available and were not able to change rooms. No availability of another room due to obvious booking for a wedding also held there for the week-end. Was not pleased with the run around I got about changing rooms and no manager on staff to handle or that wanted to handle my concerns.”

“The first room they gave me was substandard. The bathroom tub had mold and rust and the ceiling had black mold. The television made a horrible humming noise. The second room was newly renovated and nice, except that the bathroom was extremely small. The restaurant staff was lazy and never bussed our table. The chef for the Sunday brunch kept disappearing for long periods of time, making it hard to get eggs cooked to order.”

• Rooms to small, pool was closed then had glass, horrible room service.

“The management is nice and tries to please but the rooms are just too small. The pool is very small and unattended and people drink and throw glass in pool. The location is on a one way street with no easy access so you have to make a lot of u turns and waste a lot of gas. Room service is slow and the orders were never correct. Overall it is not somewhere we would go back to. If you are in the area and out all the time it is a bed and a bathroom, but if you need time to chill this is not the place.”

• The staff was very helpful and friendly.
• Our room was a little worn.

“The holiday inn in west Chester is right at the junction of business 202 and the bypass. It's easy to get to unless you happen to be coming from the bypass. If you want to head south when you leave, you can't turn left onto 202. You have to turn right and then turn around a few blocks up. Our room was pretty comfortable but worn looking in places. For instance, the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were pushed up and ragged looking, and the wallpaper near the ceiling in the room showed evidence of water damage.”

• The staff at the front desk was awesome; the girl at check in was sweet and very attractive!
• Really my only complaint was that the thermostat on the heat didn't work .the fan could be set to high or low, but the temperature couldn't be adjusted.

“The hotel was very nice. The staff awesome (from the front desk to housekeeping. the heat air unit was the only problem and I didn't report that. I thought maybe they had it set up that way?”

• The staff was very friendly and check in and check out was a breeze.
• The walls were extra thin. You could hear people talking in the next room and their TV¿s.

“Nice hotel for the price. Room was small but that was to be expected. My only complaint was that the walls were very thin; you could hear people talking in their rooms and the sound of their TV¿s. Staff was extra friendly. I would stay there again.”

• The hotel was clean and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had a restaurant offering room service.
• West Chester has such a beautiful downtown, but this hotel was not nearby.

“Although this hotel is not within walking distance of West Chester's beautiful downtown, it was clean and comfortable, and has a restaurant that offers room service. That was a pleasant surprise.”

• Hotel staff worked well in situation where lights went out.
• It did not have emergency lighting in our hall way when lights went out.

“During my stay the electricity went out in the local area and the staff responded well. However the hotel did not have any emergency lighting in the hallway of my room. This is probably a fire regulation violation and certainly is unsafe.”

• Power went out, whole hotel. Water was frigid and was unable to even change clothes.

“Staff was doing the best they could however; the power was out in the hotel. I didn¿t even brush my teeth. I got there late (morning) and assumed I could at least get a Nap and shower before my 1pm meeting. That was impossible due to the power outage.”

• Sunday Brunch; the front desk staff; fitness center.
• Smell of smoke even in non-smoking floors.

“This hotel is conveniently located to US 202 and downtown West Chester, PA. The hotel was clean. The front desk staff accommodated our request for a n-s room with two double beds. The fitness room and outdoor pool for summer months are a big plus. We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn West Chester. ”

• Separate entrances.
• The maid kept knocking on our door even though we had the do not disturb sign up and we had late check out.

“The hotel is in a good location but if you have no clue where you are would be lost, it was a nice setting, but our room was located near the soda machine and the elevator, so we heard a lot of stuff.”

• The food was great.
• The bathroom was too small.

“It was a decent hotel for the money. The room was a bit cramped, the remote did not work the TV and the bathroom was way too small. Other hotels in this price range that I have stayed in previously have a sink inside and outside the bathroom. That is nice when you are staying with someone. This is definitely more of a "business traveler" oriented hotel. Apparently there was a mistake between the hotel and it so we were granted a credit. Which we spent at the bar/restaurant. The food and service was great. Overall, a pleasant experience.”

• The consistency of quality this hotel offers as well as the attractive town(s) it is located in or nearby.
• I did not like the fact they are no longer offering a free continental breakfast for guests. I am always busy and need something convenient.

“This hotel has met my expectations during each visit. Staff is friendly and accountable and the comfort is above average. I just do not like the fact they discontinued the free continental breakfast as that was a nice addition which would make this the best hotel in the area.”
