“Located close to the mall and shops and has a continental breakfast. Plenty of space for me to park a moving truck that I was driving and very close to I-95. This hotel met my expectations and would gladly stay there again.”

• It isn't near a restaurant (it's very car-centric).

“I have stayed at this hotel multiple times now in the past. It has been a great value vs. quality stay. Everything was good to great with only two minor inconveniences during my stays: TV remote batteries died once and internet access was down once.”

• Fresh Waffles at breakfast.
• Double beds.

“The room and bathroom were clean. It suited our needs for the night, but the double beds were too small to share comfortably. The breakfast was good. All and all, great.”

• Old feel; dirty pool.

“This was my last stay in a long business trip. The pool had white stuff floating on the surface. The room was cramped, clean and had a clean but musty smell. I could not get the wireless to work with a laptop properly configured. Weak signal. The manager let me leave without a charge. I went next door to the Courtyard and got a room. The internet worked great there.”

• It met all my needs, cleanliness, location, and comfort.
• Nothing to not like.

“If you pass through Delaware, this is one place to consider for affordable rooms, comfortable, clean and located near "almost" everything you would need including proximity to Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. It is small, so no big families, but it is nice and comfortable. The staff is great - very accommodating. Nice pool as well with excellent hours.”

• The particular front desk that I had was not helpful at all.

• Customer Service was top notch! Great people working there.
• Rooms are small.

“This is an older hotel with mostly outside entrances and the rooms are on the small side. Rooms and lobby are updated, well maintained and very clean. The staff is 4 star. Pleasant, helpful, courteous and willing to go the extra mile every time with every guest. We would choose to stay there again.”

• Friendly staff great am breakfast.
• Outside access of rooms. Probably due to a convert from another hotel to Fairfield. Most new airfields aren't built this way.

“Great value friendly staff. Good breakfast, comfy beds. The room and bathrooms are a little small however. Hotel is a former converted motel as room access is outside. Hotel is in a convenient, safe area!.”

• Our room had ANTS!!!!

“The hotel was for an overnight get away for my husband and me since we had a mother with open heart surgery that we had been taken care of for many weeks. We needed a getaway night, thought it would be fun, however we found ANTS on the desk, on the heater/ac and then on my purse and then on the bed in the morning. I was very upset about this. We did not have any food or sweets with us and my husband said he had seen a couple on the night we arrived. But in the daylight the next morning, we saw many more. We just wanted to check out of there.”

“The hotel is located right off the highway but in back of a Borders bookstore so the location was a bit odd. I was visiting the University of Delaware and the hotel is about 6 miles from the college that is in downtown Newark. I found this to be annoying. Other than that the location wasn't that great, the hotel itself was very nice. The room was beautifully decorated but unfortunately the room did not have windows that opened. I had asked for a non-smoking room but they could not accommodate me. This would not have been a big problem if I could have opened a window to air out the room. I could not and the room reeked of a stale smoke smell that was very unpleasant.”
