• Cleanliness, big & convenient.
• Housekeeping woke us up at 9 am.

“This hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. The staff helped use find a good Chinese place to eat and they had maps of local attractions to make things easier. I would recommend this place.”

• Location was good for my purpose.
• The room was dated and noisy.

“The hotel was very convenient to shopping. The staff if very friendly and pleasant. The lobby was very eloquent. I stayed in the pet wing which was very dated. The worst part there was no sense of privacy as sounds from you room carried into the hallways and a common bathroom vent made it sound like your neighbors were in the bathroom with you. They would need to replace windows and doors for me to consider staying here again.”

• I liked that there was a restaurant available.

“This hotel was pretty full service for the area. The staff was very friendly and it was fine for my business needs. Watch out during prom season, there were a ton of limo's and kids running around.”

• Beds were uncomfortable and you could hear people in the halls.

• Convenient close to work area and restaurants.
• Would use the same sheets from the previous day for the next day.

“The hotel was very convenient, it was close to where I was working and it had an easy access to important roads. The only thing that I found discomfort was that they would use the sheets again the next day, if I wanted clean one they would supply it but I still think they should always give clean sheet.”

• The hotel was a complete dive.
• I did not like the vomiting teenagers outside my door at 2:00 am.

“This hotel was disgusting. The floor was sticky and dirty, the walls were peeling, stained and gross. The room smelled badly. There were 30 or so teenagers getting very drunk in the parking lot when we checked in. They ran up and down the hallways all night long. When we left in the morning someone had vomited behind our car. This was one of the grossest nights that I have ever spent in a hotel, ever. Had it not been late when we checked in I would have forfeited our room and paid to stay somewhere else. It was terrible.”

• Walking distance to the outlets and some restaurants. Convenient location to major roadways.
• Breakfast was not complimentary.

“I would definitely recommend this hotel to others traveling to Reading. We were able to walk to the outlets to shop. There are plenty of restaurants close by. The staff is very friendly. Lots of kids in the pool (even at 9pm)! Was Kind of hoping for a quieter scene by the pool but it was nice to see families having fun.”

• Carpets were wet, ac did not work, room reeked of smoke, and shower was taped up with electrical tape.

“The room smelled horrible, the carpet was damp to touch, mirrors behind TV were covered with nicotine, ac did not work, and shower head was taped with electrical tape and directed at the wall. We are lucky we did not come down with legionary's disease. This place should be shut down if all their rooms are anything like this one.”

• The rooms were quaint and huge!
• The bathrooms need remodeling, but they are clean and adequate.

“I liked the large room and the furnishings reminded me of a new England bed and breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised that it was included in the price of the room.”

• Exceptionally unprofessional staff.

“In terms of room quality, you get what you pay for; the rooms are spacious, clean, and well supplied. The staff is unprofessional: knocks on the door from housekeeping despite a "Do Not Disturb" sign; wake-up call 15 minutes early, which the operator laughed off; front desk surly and unhelpful.”

• Slightly dated even though they had upgraded the hotel.

“The best part of my stay was the staff. I've stayed at the inn at reading twice now, and the personal service was excellent both times. The hotel was looking pretty worn out and dated my first visit, but the carpet and fixtures were much better this last visit. ”

• Rushed to accommodate us in any way possible.
• Couldn't adjust the heat to our liking, was quite hot in our room.

“When we got to the hotel, we were quickly given our choice of rooms and given a map so we could find the room without trouble. The staff was friendly, the housekeepers were unobtrusive, and the food we had was great. They even had an express checkout service so we could just leave the keys in our room and be on our way. Really a first rate hotel. We had a smoking room, and it didn't even smell of smoke!”

• Easy to get to. Reasonable prices for breakfast.
• Air conditioning unit was behind curtains and did not work well unless the curtains were open.

“I checked in late and was given the "bridal suite". The room was fairly large, and the bed was high. This is the only thing that I could tell that was special. The bathroom looked like normal for a motel, several years old with worn out shower curtain. If I was staying in this room for the "bridal suite", I would have been very disappointed. The bath tub should have been something special, at least room for two. The ceiling was low, I could touch it, and so it was about seven feet. The air conditioner should not have been hidden by the window curtains. Because of this, I had to spend some time arranging the curtains to keep out the light from the parking lot and still allow the room to get warm. The computer in the public area did not function properly. It was probably full of spy ware and viruses. The TV could only be viewed from the bed. I could not sit at the table and view it. The bed was comfortable.”

• Great location, great bar w/1/2 price appetizer happy hour, beds were very comfortable.
• It's an old hotel but I found it very nice, no complaints at all.

“I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel was pleasant, clean, beautiful room, and great location. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful with directions to different attractions. The outlets were 1 mile down the same road the hotel is on - which is great and the sovereign center was 5 minutes away, as was downtown Reading. Lots of neat restaurants and we really enjoyed biking the canal bike path.”

• I found the hotel to be very clean, friendly staff and really under rated as far as a 2.5 star hotel. Should be rated more of a 4 star hotel.

• Did not get my wake up call.

“It's nice that the staff asks if you want a wake up call, but it doesn't matter if they do not follow through. I'm lucky I used the radio as a back-up. Otherwise, the rooms are a little dated, but perhaps that's part of the NE charm they are trying to sell.”

• A very nice breakfast was included in the price of the room.
• The fact that housekeeping knocked on the door at 8:30 AM to clean the room even though it was a holiday weekend.

“The hotel is near a major roadway but was very quiet. Although it has been undergoing renovations, I believe they need to concentrate on upgrading the bathrooms next-however, they were clean. Our stay was from Sunday to Tuesday on the Labor Day weekend and for some reason, housekeeping decided to start knocking on doors at 8:30 AM-can't figure out why they needed to start so early when we weren't even scheduled to check out. All in all, great place to stay.”

“I will give this hotel a B+ grade. Great location, friendly staff, very large and comfortable room. The poorly patched and water stain on our bedroom ceiling is a big minus. I will recommend this hotel.”

• Good breakfast though only two per room were free. Nice amenities, great pool.
• No air conditioning in rooms though it looks as if they are adding it to room rooms. The hotel looks as if it is going through renovation.

“Great room for price. Large rooms and nice furnishings. Large pool and area. Free use of local gym as well as on site workout room. Hotel is old but looks as if it is being renovated. Our room did not have individually controlled air-conditioning but it looks as if some rooms did. Hotel could be beautiful but has worn carpets, holes in wallboard, pen marks on wallpaper, older stained bath tiles and fixtures, etc. I would stay again at the price we paid but would have not paid the rate I heard quoted at the front desk.”

• The hotel staff was amazing. You would have thought I was spending $400 a night for their service. Free late check out 2:45 pm.

“The Inn at Reading is convenient to outlet shopping, historic sites and museums. The rooms are spacious and comfortably appointed. The hotel offers free wireless internet connection and Starbucks coffee en suite. It's a great place to stay.”

• I liked the upscale remodel, almost perfect.
• Walls were 'thin' we could hear other people in other rooms... restaurant was not really that great.

“This little hotel has a nice upscale vibe with a really nice staff. You can see improvements are still being made, but our stay was quite nice. Downsides is that the location is right near the highway, but you didn't hear that in our room, however - you could hear the sounds of other guests quite clearly. These accommodations provided a free breakfast Monday through Friday, which was O.K. But wouldn't be my main reason to return. What would make me come back to this hotel is the great staff, the clean rooms and the great location. ”

• Room door cracked, curtains stained, needs renovations.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms had some nice little things that some bigger, more expensive hotels don't have like Starbuck's coffee, mouthwash, Neutrogena lotion. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was outstanding. If they spent some money replacing cracked room doors, stained curtains, old carpet and vacuumed behind the beds this would be a great hotel. I guess you get what you pay for.”

• Quiet, not crowded.
• Bathroom floor was dirty in appearance and sticky. The bed linens were scratchy.

“The room was a nice size and clean but tired in appearance. The bathroom was dingy and old. The floor looked dirty but had a sticky feeling underfoot from left over cleaner. The bed linens were cheap and scratchy. I would have expected a mini frig in a two and a half star hotel. ”

• The lunches provided for the conference were great.
• The bathroom near the conference area was freezing.

“The staff was very efficient during check in and check out. The room was spacious and comfortable. The wireless internet capability was instrumental as I was able to continue my business while away from my office. The lunches were great. The only negative thing was the bathroom near the conference area was freezing.”

“A well kept beautiful hotel, centrally located to the outlet stores in Reading. The hotel also had an excellent restaurant, a nice pool with a cabana club.Over all well worth the a stay.”

• It has a nice atmosphere. Many buildings, nice pool area.
• Rooms are old and need updating. Bathroom is very old and worn, broken tiles, peeling paper, cracked sinks, broken toilet.

“The outside of this hotel is very lovely. The main lobby and the atmosphere is also nice, however the individual rooms are old and need new furnishings, fresh paper and paint. The bathroom was the worst. Tiles broken, toilet running off all the time, just old overall. I wouldnt stay here again.”

• It was a little hard to get to, because of the directions I got from map quest were outdated.

• Although an older hotel with some signs of wear, the room was very nice and the service excellent
• Carpet in room had stains, could use replacement.

• They provided us with written directions to every place we wanted to go, restaurants, shopping, etc. They were awesome.
• I only stayed 1 night, should have stayed several more!

“I was dissatisfied that the hotel did not offer a continental breakfast for its guest. I spoke with a representative of the hotel and specifically asked if a breakfast was included and he informed that it was. For the quality rating I believe it should have been offered.”
