• It's proximity to the greater Syracuse shopping area is excellent.
• It needed a room size fridge.

• Fabulous breakfast, I would call it continental plus!
• Our room had damp carpet by the a/c unit, which had leaked.

“Great hotel for families with young kids. Comfortable room, right off the highway and the massive complimentary breakfast helped us save on meals. We were very impressed.”

• Was very convenient to the New York state fair.
• Was not able to get a refund for the second day even though we checked out early. (Spoke to them before booking it, said it was ok).

• Very clean and staff helpful and friendly.
• There really wasn't anything I didn't like about this hotel for the price.

“Our experience at this hotel was very positive. All the staff from the check in to waitresses in the restaurant was friendly and extremely helpful. The lobby, the rooms and the public restrooms were all very clean. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.”

• Room was decent sized and clean.
• Low room rate excluded free continental breakfast. This was not explained at any time, either by hotel or.

“It appeared they were making some renovations to the entrance. The overall experience was favorable until I was denied the complimentary continental breakfast due to the low rate I had paid for my room (booked through). At no time was I informed (by or the hotel) that the low rate would exclude me from normal hotel accommodations.”

• We were treated differently than other guests. Other guests got breakfast.

“The hotel was very nice, but because we reserved our room on line, we were not able to get vouchers for breakfast. This is the first time we have had this problem, so after breakfast the first morning, we ate no meals there. ”

“We have enjoyed a stop at this location a number of times, and have been pleased with the rooms and the services offered. For the price paid, it has more than satisfied our needs each and every time.”

• Newly remodeled rooms and lobby areas.

“Room was newly remodeled, as well as the rest of the hotel. New bathrooms w/ new sink/toilet/shower fixtures, great shower head. Nice comfort control system (can set a desired temperature, rather than basic hot/cold settings,) comfortable bed, in room coffee maker, everything very clean. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. We did not eat at their restaurant, but they did have a very decent menu, with reasonable pricing.”

• The front desk staff were very friendly.
• We were directly above a ballroom.

“Our room was directly above a ballroom, on the 2nd night the music was deafening and I could literally hear verbatim the speeches that were being made. We had 2 children ages 3 and 1, and it was almost midnight before things got quiet downstairs. I've traveled all over the world, and have never had this experience. No room I've ever stayed in has ever been that loud, and why we'd get placed in that room with 2 small children made no sense at all. ”

• Staff was sub par, room was small and not all that clean.

“Our room was filthy and under construction when we checked in. After some bickering to the front desk, they finally moved us to another room that was only a little better than the first one. Overall, I would never stay here again. This should be taken off, because it is listed as a two-star, and isn't even a one-star in my opinion. Very disappointing.”

• The hotel was in a convenient location. Staff at front desk was friendly.
• My room was right next to the laundry room/cleaning staff room. There was quite a bit of commotion and unprofessional conversations going on.

“The hotel was in a convenient location for me. I was there to take a practice MCAT at S.U. and was able to get to my test with ease. I normally stay at the Wyndham and I think that the staff at the Ramada is friendlier but my room was in a hallway that looked like a basement. I actually thought I had taken a wrong turn when I arrived in my hallway. Overall the rooms were not that nice but it was clean and convenient for me.”

• Very clean but bad smelling hallways.
• Poor room dampening sound, very loud neighbor, snored.

“I have a really loud neighbor who came in at 1:00 am and had a 1 hour conversation and then snored the entire night. It sounded like to guy was in my room due to the poor audio insulating quality. When I checked out no one asked about how I liked the hotel or if they could be of any assistance.”

• Quiet, clean, well-kept inside and out. Convenient to highways.
• Cable TV was on the blink first night. The Olympics were fuzzy on TV screen.

“Situated in North Syracuse. Convenient to Airport, surrounding communities of Salina, Cicero and DeWitt, as well as Syracuse Fairgrounds and the Carousel Center Mall. A short drive to Syracuse University. Clean and well-maintained inside and out. Reasonable rates. Complimentary in room coffee maker. Cable TV.”

• Nice wireless internet and free full breakfast.
• Lobby under construction - was a mess.

“Other than the lobby being all torn up and the carpet/room being a bit old and musty, the hotel was pretty decent. The bathrooms were nice and clean and featured new shower heads, etc. The wireless connection was unexpected and free. The breakfast staff was very friendly, however the food left lingering stomach problems for the rest of the day.”

• This hotel served our needs very nicely. A full breakfast is included with the room booking and is served by staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
• We really didn't have any complaints about the hotel or the service provided.

“The hotel was conveniently located for our needs at this time. It has a non pretentious entrance with a staff ready to serve your requirements. There is information available in the lobby regarding sight and activities available in the surrounding area. Although there is not a lobby shop as such, items such as toothpaste, aspirin, disposable shavers and shaving cream is available. These items are on display in the lobby, purchased from the attendant if required. All in all at the price range this hotel can be recommended.”

• good location
• definition of a 2 star hotel. needs to be updated. bathroom fixtures leave something to be desired

“Burgundy shag carpet at the hotel could give a child nightmares. Stainless steel fixtures were bubbling with corrosion. Bathroom drop ceiling in both rooms that I stayed at had brown water stains. I would never pay retail for these rooms. Those that do, must feel cheated.”
