• That they had a large lobby area to hang out in while riding out a hurricane.
• The switches for the lights by the bed (for reading) were too far from the bed-I had to get out to shut them off. Poor design.

“A clean and efficient hotel that even bent the rules about cancellation (after extending my original stay) because of iffy weather where we were traveling to. A hurricane was threatening, and we wouldn't know until the next morning if we'd need another night or not.”

• I like the location only.
• My room had mice in it and the manager did nothing.

“I do not recommend this hotel because the manager did nothing after I told them that I was awaken by mice. Their response was its nature. If the manager does not want do anything then I will not stay here.”

• The staff was helpful/friendly and the facility was clean.
• Paper-thin walls. You could hear your "neighbor" talking. Bring earplugs!

“Overall, despite the thin walls in the rooms, this was a consumer-friendly and very clean hotel. The staff was great and willing to help with any needs. The free airport shuttle was super and pretty prompt when requested!”

• Indoor pool, hi-speed internet, convenience to stores, beach, airport.
• More towels needed at pool area.

“It is very clean; staff is very friendly, and convenient to all attractions, beach & airport. Hotel offers many features. Food is very good and all you-can eat breakfast buffet for 5.00 is outstanding.”

• Cleanest hotel Ive stayed in a long time.
• Nothing.

“I was very impressed. For the price this was the nicest and cleanest hotel I have stayed in. Will definitely stay there again.”

• Walls are paper thin - could not get connected to my email.

“Friendly and helpful staff. Close to Norfolk airport. Bring earplugs as the walls and ceiling are paper thin.”

• It was in a good location.
• It was dirty, the staff was poorly trained.

“The room was dirty (hair in the bathroom). The beds were uncomfortable and not made well. The sheets kept coming undone. There was mold in the bathroom. The sink was cracked. The molding under the bathroom counter was falling down. The wallpaper was coming off the wall.”

• the room was clean; friendly staff; comfortable bed with lots of pillows (king size bed); good information of local restaurants in the room.
• I had a difficult time finding it, it was hiding beside quality suites; the shower door wouldn't close so I had to hold it shut while taking a shower.

“Besides the broken shower door and the difficulty of finding the location, it was a very restful stay.”

• Convenient location, close to highway, airport and shopping.
• Not scenic, breakfast ends to early, staff very friendly but not well trained.

“The rooms were large and comfortable. We only spent one night so we didn't get to become familiar with all of the amenities. The hotel is very convenient to the airport, highway, shopping, and sites. However, if you're not family with the area you would never know it. Overall, I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to spend at least a few days in the Tidewater area but I feel it's to expensive for an overnight stay.”
