“Hotel staff was extremely friendly. Lobby was very nice. Equipment in fitness center was top notch. Room was very clean and the bed linens appeared to be new. Carpet and bathroom fixtures looked a little worn, but overall impression was very good. Would definitely stay here again!” Apr 3, 2009 by
Aloha from Waipahu,HI
“The hotel is easy to find, the bed was amazingly comfortable, and all amenities that you might need were in the room. The bathroom, while very stylish, was tiny and I am amazed that anyone could fit in there. Otherwise, a great hotel, would recommend it to anyone.” Apr 1, 2009 by
Albert from Dallas,TX
“Stayed on a Friday night to be near airport. Music/noise from lobby bar was heard/felt from second floor rooms. Did not appear to be in a very safe neighborhood.” Mar 8, 2009 by
William from Flanders,NJ
“Excellently, located for quick in and out of the city.” Jan 22, 2009 by
Mary from Thompson,CT
“Although the lobby is kind of old and a bit musty, the rooms are up to date and comfortable. The fitness center is excellent with televisions for each machine. A small fridge and microwave in the rooms would be better.” Jan 9, 2009 by
Mike from Colonial Heights,VA
“A comfortable room, nice amenities. Very spacious room for one person. Staff is exceptional.” Oct 9, 2008 by

Jennifer from Norfolk, VA
“I was celebrating my birthday and wanted to get out of my house to spoil myself. I went out for the evening and put the do not disturb sign on my door so I could sleep in. The next morning my door was knocked on. When I went down for breakfast, my room was not touched. But when I went back to relax, my door was knocked on again by the hotel staff to clean.” Sep 9, 2008 by
Heather from Jacksonville, NC
“The hotel itself was nice however, there is no laundry services, the pool was being repaired so we could not swim, we could not make free local calls and the lady that worked in the gift shop was really quite inappropriate. My husband said quite a few time that he did not feel that the hotel was 3 star. The front desk persons were very polite and the restaurant and bar looked very nice.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Arata K. from Bethesda, MD
“Location is very good to Norfolk airport. Room is clean and comfortable.” Sep 2, 2008 by

“As a VA State health inspector, who has inspected many hotels, I expected more from a Hilton Hotel.” Aug 26, 2008 by
Eric from Washington, DC
“Not 3 stars hotel! I would go with 2,5 it is ok to stay for a night.” Aug 21, 2008 by
David from Pontiac, IL
“I believed that there would be a refrigerator in room. Which I require I am diabetic and travel with insulin, had to use cooler and ice my entire stay. I did call in advance to ensure I would have one. I was told by hotel staff that would be no problem I would have one upon my arrival. The building did not openly appear dirty. However it needed cleaning, carpets were stained, walls, windows and glass doors not cleaned. Hotel was supposed to be 3 star. I've stayed in 1 star hotels felt more comfortable and cared for as a customer. The room alarm clock kept losing time, the hotel staff brought 2 others they acted same way. One good thing was the hotel maids did good job cleaning and preparing room on a daily basis. Even to point of understand I am late sleeper and preferred my room cleaned after lunch or very late morning.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Ronald from West Orange, NJ
“This hotel was not what I expected from a Hilton.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Lucien from Dover, DE
“Well, we came to Norfolk expecting an upscale, classy neighborhood. We were staying at the Hilton, so we were ready to be pampered. Well. The neighborhood was nice, anyway. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, giving easy-to-follow driving directions, recommendations, etc. However, the front desk was chronically understaffed, causing us to have to wait to talk to anyone, even over the phone. This was in the middle of the week, not a busy holiday weekend or anything. Once we got to the room, we found it attractive and well-appointed, but there were noticeable stains on the carpets. We asked two adjoining rooms, and discovered upon opening the adjoining doors that the carpet under the doors themselves was missing, leaving padding and small tacking strips visible for the duration of our stay. We were disappointed in the lack of a small refrigerator, but got around that by filling our cooler with ice, as recommended by the staff. Unfortunately, the ice dispenser is not cooler-friendly, so we were left bailing ice into the cooler by way of the ice bucket from the room. In spite of the name on the front, the lack of food storage facilities in the room, and the fact that we were on the third floor, we were surprised by a medium-sized cockroach scampering boldly across the floor on our first night. But that's okay, we thought; we'll just kick back and get some time on the free internet connection. However, all that we could get was the lobby screen, asking us for a Way port coupon number or for our credit card number to purchase connection time. A call to the front desk, once we got through, resulted in a transfer to Way port. At last: someone truly helpful! This situation persisted throughout our three day, two night stay: the front desk was at a loss, even the maintenance staff -- who came to our room -- could do no more than.” Aug 17, 2008 by
Michael from St. Ptersburg, FL
“Hotel was a great. Pool closed too early. Did not quite live up to the Hilton expectations, but was not unbearable. Would be a great hotel for the business traveler in the area.” Aug 5, 2008 by
Lisa from Norfolk, VA
“Not bad, not amazing. Bed was comfy, free wireless in the rooms.” Aug 2, 2008 by
Wendy from Magnolia, TX
“The staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my steak dinner at the hotel's restaurant. It is very conveniently located for airport travelers. Not the best neighborhood.” Jul 28, 2008 by
Mary from San Leandro, CA
“Convenient to airport, interstate, dining and shopping.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Joe from Glenolden, PA
“Great price for a legitimate 3-star hotel. They accidentally put us in a business travelers room with a single size bed and quickly resolved the issue when I called the front desk. The beds were comfortable, but a little short. The bathroom is very nice and the water gets very hot. A nicety after driving a few hours.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Swakshar from Rolla, MO
“The location was good but it is not a safe place and there is no camera in most of the places and the side doors can be opened without any card even at night. My laptop and other property got stolen from the room. I am not at all happy about the hotel.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Marvin from Murfreesboro, NC
“Not up to the Hilton standard.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Karla from Kill Devil Hills, NC
“We were really excited. It was a Hilton. When we pulled up we were just as excited. They were remodeling and it was a mess everywhere. There were no maps. We tried to go to the pool and it took us 20 minutes searching for it. We finally found it on our own. There weren't any towels, even though they said the pool area would have some. There were no maps of the hotel anywhere. There wasn't even a channel list. It was a quick weekend trip, so we didn't take our laptop. So we went down to the business center to use the computer for about a total of 3 minutes. They charge you to use the internet and then they charge a by the minute rate as well. I think that was ridiculous. Not the friendliest staff and the room was very small. I think it has potential to be a great hotel, and it might have just been our luck that they would be remodeling and it would have been a mess. But we still can't get over them charging to use the computer. I've been to plenty of hotels, resorts and you can just walk in and use the computers, for free.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Crystal from Raleigh, NC
“This hotel was ok for the price. I've stayed there before and would stay there again. It was by far not the best place that I've stayed for that price range. The room smelled funny the house keeping staff was a nuisance.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Shawn from Bronx, NY
“The Hilton, located on North Military HWY in Norfolk Virginia is a comfortable and affordable place for people of leisure. It is located within range of several shopping areas and many restaurants. The beds are comfortable; there is a television for entertainment, and wireless access for those who can't live without a virtual connection.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Karma from Glen Allen, VA
“The hotel was nice, the staff was acceptable. However, the hotel ran out of clean towels on the second day of our visit, and we had to use hand towels to shower with, totally unacceptable for a Hilton Hotel.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Rhapsody from Roanoke, VA
“When we checked in, we were given a room with 2 beds. The sheets had not be changed; it had hair and one of the beds just had the comforter pulled up. The sheets were hanging out the bottom. We had to sleep in separate beds for 3 nights. Except for the room service staff, we were treated like ghost. They wasn't rude, just cold and inattentive. We asked for a bellman and got one 15 mins later. He was too busy talking to another staff in the lobby. No. won't be coming back to this one.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Steve from Camp Lejeune, NC
“Great stay - friendly, fast, and efficient. The bartender was very attentive, friendly, and fast. All in all one of the nicest stays I have had in a long time.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Marilyn from Oxon Hill, MD

“Hilton airport, convenient, clean and good value for the price. Would stay here again.” May 13, 2008 by
Carol from Moodus, CT
“The room was very bright and clean. I recently stayed at a 4 star hotel in Times Square that was dirty and very dark and very little personality to the staff. Staff at Norfolk very friendly and inviting. Loved the complimentary coffee in the entrance area in the morning. One less stop I had to make before beginning my travels for the day.” Apr 26, 2008 by
Curtis from White Lake, MI
“Poor room quality, old scratched and marred furniture, fold down bed. Not characteristics you would expect for an upscale hotel.” Apr 24, 2008 by
Pat from Maywood, NJ
“I was nervous about selecting this hotel, because of all the negative reviews, but the location was perfect for our needs, so I took the plunge what a pleasant surprise! The staff couldn't have been nicer or more caring. The room was clean and well maintained. Any slight problem (broken TV remote) was immediately addressed.” Apr 23, 2008 by
Chuck from Powhatan, VA
“The room was great. Only problem we had was the floor was wet near the bathroom, maybe a leak from the sink. The ice room was being remodeled and had to go to the second floor for ice. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.” Apr 22, 2008 by
Bruce from Bowie, MD
“Read some reviews on this hotel before we arrived and was a little worried because some of the negative comments. However, I was very pleased with my room and the hotel in general. Room was very well decorated and the staff was very pleasant. Very pleased with the Hilton!” Apr 22, 2008 by
Kendra from Winston Salem, NC
“I was very pleased with the hotel. From the moment I checked in until I left the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only real issue I had was the information book they provide really did not give a lot of helpful information but the staff more than made up for that. I look forward to staying there again.” Apr 14, 2008 by
Susie from Highland Village, TX
“Outstanding value. Very good restaurant. Couldn't be more convenient to airport.” Apr 10, 2008 by
Steve from Lyndonville, NY
“The hotel ( a Hilton ) was under construction and of course no warning was made of this. The room had dirty cups and bathroom the 1st night. The pool and gym facilities were closed. The hotel staff were non responsive to complaints about noise ( at 11 PM through 1:30 AM). Even after the repairs are done, I would not stay there again.” Apr 9, 2008 by
St from Forest, VA
“Nice place. But the beds are hard.”
