• Being on the beach and having a pool.
• The breakfast had a lot to be desired. It wasn't close to any nice food places, The staff could have been a little more helpful.

“This was a very nice enjoyable place to stay and relax on the beach or by the pool. However, if you are looking to find a nice known place to eat there wasn't anything close. There isn't anything good to say about the breakfast or the coffee. The beds were comfy but the sleeper sofa had seen better days. The staff didn't go that extra mile and it would have been nice of them to inform the customers checking out that the Norfolk Tunnel was going to be close for quiet a while for cleaning (really put a kink in getting home).”

• Friendly, knowledgable of area, clean, and comfortable.

“I was very impressed with the hotel staff. I called while trying to arrive and they guided me right to the motel. They were painting the class rooms I had reserved and upgraded me to a suite with no hesitation. The motel staff was knowledgeable of restaurants and local sites. Everything was a pleasurable experience.”

• Price & close to where we needed to go.
• There is not enough hot water. You're luck if you can get 5 minutes of hot water in the shower, even at 1 AM.

“The only complaint I have about the hotel at all is the lack of hot water. Everything else is great for the price.”

• The location was wonderful. I also enjoyed their continental breakfast.
• The parking spaces are too narrow.

“I stayed for 14 days, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location was awesome, I was able to watch the sunrise right there on the beach. Not only would I stay there again I would recommend it to family and friends.”

• The cleanliness of the room, and the closeness to the beachfront.
• In the picture it showed a room with a full kitchen and I was prepared to cook meals and there was no kitchen. I had to throw some food away.

“I think this is a nice hotel and I would definitely stay there again. I also enjoy the breakfast and the location of my room was right next to it. That made it very convenience. I would recommend it to my friends and family. The rooms were really clean and I am very picky when it comes to hotel rooms especially the bathrooms. I would definitely stay there again.”

• High speed internet was Ethernet, not wifi - good if they had cables but they didn't.
• In a somewhat bad part of town - area is developing, so it will get better, but not right now!

“Facilities were very good - high speed internet a plus, they don't have Ethernet cables so bring your own. Gym was decent for this type of hotel. Parking was tight, but it seemed most people could park outside their room. Noise (normal conversation volume) from exterior of hotel is audible from inside the room if it's within 6ft of the door. Had frig, microwave, nearest grocery store about 3 miles west (food lion). Local restaurants looked a little seedy. Hotel is on the beach however.”

• Was an amazingly surprising value - a suite for the price of a regular room!
• Carpets needed cleaning, bathroom very small.

“This hotel was a very nice surprise. They've converted a number of small rooms into suites, which give you a lot of room. And didn't jack the prices sky high to boot. I'll be staying there again. The management is new and they are taking great pride in offering a quality establishment.”

• The view of the Chesapeake Bay was wonderful.
• The hotel needs updating.

“The room was spacious and comfortable with good amenities including a kitchenette. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. The staff was helpful. The location on the Chesapeake Bay was spectacular! We had a great view of the bay from our room. Even though we were in a busy city, the hotel was very quiet.”

• The breakfast was good, as was the free high-speed Internet.
• Our room was so small you could hardly move. The carpets were dirty, so was the bathroom.

“This hotel is OK if you just need a place to sleep. Our room was tiny, but we could have up-graded for as little as $12 / night. The area is a bit rough around the edges, but the beach is relatively nice (relative to Ocean View). For a nicer beach, try Virginia Beach. Overall, for the price, this place was OK.”
