“For a seasoned motel, our room was exceptionally clean and odorless. I liked the French doors that went out to the patio pool area, even though we didn't use the pool. Our room was toward the back and very quiet. Breakfast room was a little dreary, but coffee was great. Attendant at the desk was polite and helpful. All and all, good overnight stay.” Oct 23, 2008 by

“Needs updating. many 1st floor room. 2 doors as you walk in and no signs for which way to go until after you enter.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Julie from West Chester, PA
“My boyfriend and I came to this hotel for a long weekend, with the goal of visiting the Renaissance Faire and the Lancaster Outlets. We found that both locations were very easy to get to from the hotel. The staff was polite and courteous, the room's air conditioning was already on as well as the refrigerator when we got in. The bed was very comfortable. The TV remote was a little hard to operate, but nothing life-threatening. The doors opening onto the courtyard were lovely, a nice touch. Everything was well maintained and clean. We will definitely stay here again!” Aug 25, 2008 by
Kathy from Commodore, PA
“The hotel was clean and convenient for a one or two night stay. It was close to many attractions. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. I took my mother who is 86 years and she was very satisfied with the motel also.” Jul 18, 2008 by
Roxanne from Webster Springs, WV
“It stinks!” Jul 15, 2008 by
Richard from Millersville, MD
“The location and staff was perfect. The rooms need improvements/upgrades. Would not consider bathing there. I was disappointed because this could be a wonderful place to stay for days if someone invested in front doors, new wall paint or wallpaper) and bathtub repairs. I would go back - but - not till upgraded.” Jul 9, 2008 by
James from Locust Grove, VA
“My wife and I were traveling with our four children. They gave us a handicap room with double beds. When I asked if we could have a room with a fold out couch they wanted to charge us more. They did provide us with a twin fold up bed.” Mar 14, 2008 by
Tim from Plano, TX
“It might have been 2-star back in 1950 when it opened. Has not been renovated since then. Wind blew around the door because there was no insulation. The sign out front was new.” Jan 10, 2008 by
Dan from Marlboro, NJ
“The hotel was located 30 Miles away fro Reading which was my requested location. The room's thermostat did not seem to function well and the room heat was unbearable.” Dec 7, 2007 by
Paul from Hawley, PA
“I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. If it was up to me I would not have it put on for other people to get stuck.” Nov 15, 2007 by
June from East Hampton, NY
“Easy to get in & out of, easy to find, not close to the downtown shopping area (which I liked). We didn't get to use the restaurant or take advantage of the breakfast at the motel. I had trouble getting the door key to work; my girlfriend had to open it all the time! She said the handle was broken. The cleaning staff needs a brush up there were crumbs (or something that looked like it) next to my bed and although the coffee pot was clean, the used coffee was still in the filter (although I must admit it made me feel right at home since my husband does the same thing!). Other than that, the staff paid attention to details, leaving soaps and shampoos and towels.” Nov 6, 2007 by
Karen from Oakhurst, NJ
“Never will go there again. Checked out a day early due to the conditions of our room. Mildew was growing in the bathtub and the room smelled. The room was unbearable hot could not cool it down with air conditioner because it did not work. Had to pay for another hotel due to the condition, which was very upsetting.” Oct 1, 2007 by
Denise from Bunker Hill, WV
“The suite was small, old and run down. The price was way too high for the room.” Aug 26, 2007 by
Sara from Union, NJ
“Ok for a 2 star hotel, but pricey.” Aug 21, 2007 by
Laureen from Middletown, NY
“Overall, the room was OK. You can tell there was minimal cleaning done, (junk and stuff under the dresser). However, the bathroom was clean that is a plus. The one entrance opened to the courtyard and pool area, which was nice. The hotel is not located in the busy section, so its quiet, which was nice for a change. It is also situated right in the middle of where we wanted to go, so pretty easy driving. All in all it was ok.” Aug 15, 2007 by

“My 2 room suite consisted of a small room with a love seat sleep sofa (but the old thing was too uncomfortable to sit on, much less sleep on). I put the cushions on the floor and slept on that. The bathtub was dirty. The other room had 2 beds which were adequate. I heard people walking upstairs all night and people talking outside also.” May 30, 2007 by
Heather from Carnegie, PA
“The staff was nice, though, but I would not stay there again unless the cost for the room was decreased by about half.” Dec 6, 2006 by
Natalie from Staten Island, NY
“The hotel was dirty, the TV didn't work and the heat wouldn't shut off. When I told the woman at the front desk - all she said was oh, well. There were 4 people ahead of me complaining about something. When I checked in they didn't even ask for id. The toilet wouldn't flush and bathroom hasn't been clean in months.” Aug 21, 2006 by
Denise from Lowell, MA
“We booked this hotel on-line. We needed a suite to accommodate our family of five. The bedroom consisted of two double beds and was equipped with a TV, micro, frig and coffee maker. The room temperature was very comfortable, the air conditioner kept things cool throughout a very hot week. However, we didn't care for the front room. The furniture was dated and uncomfortable, especially the pull-out couch. We had no complaints about the location. The hotel was close enough to the attractions, but not on one of the more heavily traveled, noisy roads. The outdoor pool was also a nice feature.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Aug 10, 2006 by

“The hotel room is old.... in fact the whole place just looks worn-out... something out of the 1970's. The best part of staying here is the free access to a real nice racquet club next door! I hardly spend any time in the room anyway - especially if I can get free use of the club the whole time I'm there. If you're a gym rat and love sports, you'll like this place. If you want a nice hotel room and plan to spend time in it - forget it.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Apr 4, 2005 by
Marcia from Montgomery Village, MD
“Would not want to stay there again. Noisy with windows and doors on both sides.” Mar 15, 2005 by
Barrie from Centre Hall, PA
“Room was relatively clean but the fluctuating shower water temperatures were very dangerous. I was surprised I didn't have more than red skin. The room was cold when I arrived and never warmed to comfort. I would not recommend this hotel.” Mar 14, 2005 by
Judith from Franklin, VA
“Clean rooms and well heated. Breakfast was wonderful. Will stay again and tell friends.” Feb 23, 2005 by
Teri from Pennsylvania Furnace, PA
“I do not recommend it. We passed many hotels that were much closer to our location. The 20 miles away was back roads and easy to get lost. When I asked about internet service, they told me that they had it. They had a phone jack. You needed to use your carrier. Other hotels have a connection and you are on the internet. Beds were had. Ended stay one day early.” Feb 23, 2005 by
Barbara from Washington, PA
“This hotel was a real disappointment. Arriving on a 20 degree evening, there was no heat on in the room. It was FREEZING! There were daddy-long legs in the bathtub and dirty footprints all over the bathroom floor. The place was a pig sty. Unfortunately it was 10 p.m. by the time we got there and we just wanted a bed to sleep in. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 12, 2005 by

“Not a bad hotel, but not what I am used to. The room was clean enough and the beds were firm, but the tiles were from the 60's as was the over all design of the hotel. It is worth noting that in an Omish town this hotel has a bar that is open until 2am.” Jan 11, 2005 by
Bill from Willow Grove, PA
“The hotel was very good and I would stay there again. I was able to rest, which is what I wanted.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 26, 2004 by
Steve C. from State College “This place is more like a 1 star motel than a 2 star hotel” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 26, 2004 by
Mark S. from Saugerties “Very small room, which was fine, but the temperature was unbearably hot. We turned the heat "off" but the room was still stifling. My youngest child was unable to sleep due to the heat.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 24, 2004 by
Alan K. from Hatfield “Very extensive continental breakfast, not just beverages and donuts. Friendly staff.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 21, 2004 by
Huong N. from Anaheim “The hotel room was fair. The hotel lobby reeked of cigarette smoke and musty, although we did not see anyone smoking. However, the hotel room, itself, was not as bad. It was a non-smoking room. Spacious and fairly clean. Overall, not bad, but I would consider it a 1-star rather than a 2-star.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 8, 2004 by
Muriel D. from Bronx “Rooms were very clean, hotel staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Provided us with a compact refrigerator free of charge. Continental breakfast was very nice.” Dec 4, 2004 by
Ray S. from Indiana “We have always had great success with our reservations made online but we were disappointed in this motel. The carpet inside the door was not swept and pretty gray around the edge! Tub had loose dirt --- possibly a repair person had been in but it had not been cleaned. Bedspread had stains. But it was evident that they had bought new furniture and tried to fix an old place up. Kind of dark and dingy except for front door. But it just wasn't the quality or cleanliness we expect!” Nov 30, 2004 by
Steven F. from Sayreville “The lobby was nice but the rooms at the Quality Inn and Suites were on the par of a drive-in motel. We were not impressed and a little disappointed that the hotel was several miles outside of the area that we preferred in Lancaster.” Nov 30, 2004 by
Hoeimieng L. from Germantown “The hotel was okay. It was clean. The staff was nice. But you can hear everything that goes on next door from your room, and there were still people roaming around after midnight and talked loudly. It was a nightmare. If you want to get a good night sleep, I would not recommend you this hotel. We're not going back for sure.” Nov 10, 2004 by
“The hotel amenities were great, suite w/sitting room, pull-ut couch, microwave, refrigerator. Not as clean as I would expect.” Nov 10, 2004 by
“The motel was clean, friendly and easy to get to. I was disappointed that it was very old rooms. Bathroom was that 60's pink tile and except for the bed, furniture was older than most motels. I would stay again but not at that price. I thought the price was for a hotel, not a motel.” Oct 5, 2004 by
Kevin M. from New York, NY “The room was dank and dingy overall. The carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I would never stay here again (at any price).” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 5, 2004 by
“Most of the staff were a delight. We had problems with the drill sergeant in the continental breakfast area yelling out, "10 more minutes and I'm shutting down" and actually moving people from their seats so that she could prepare the table for the lunch crowd. Other than that, the hotel was pleasant and met our needs and the other hotel staff were most accommodating.” Oct 4, 2004 by
Rebecca T. from Hunlock Creek “We absolutely loved the place - it was so clean and the people were so nice. We had double doors that went out the back to a large yard, a pool, two double beds, and anything else you could want. The continental breakfast was great also. It's also very close to all the main attractions on Rt. 30. I would recommend this place to anyone.” Sep 30, 2004 by
Mary V. from Glen Rock, NJ “The previous times in Lancaster, we stayed in the Holiday Inn near the Visitor's Center and loved it (which is one of the reasons why we continue to go back to Lancaster.) Unfortunately, this time we stayed at the Quality Inn and it was anything but quality. My husband was pleased with the service he received at the front desk, as well as the ambience of the lobby. Soon after, his mood changed when he led the way into the room. Although they seemed to have tried to make updates to the room (coffee maker, hair dryer, etc.,) that did not make up for the dilapidated appearance of the room. The furniture looked old and was falling apart, the wall paper was coming off of the walls, the carpet was very worn and dirty, the bathroom was old. We did not feel comfortable taking showers there. In fact, we spent as little time in the room as possible.” Sep 30, 2004 by
George C. from Vestal, NY “Good location. With friendly, helpful staff. Excellent continental breakfast selections. Very satisfied.” Sep 29, 2004 by
Mary P. from Summit Hill, PA “I called and confirmed my reservation. I was confirmed to have a smoking room - I did not. When I made a pot of coffee that evening, I saw that the carafe was rinsed but had not been washed as coffee colored water was still in it. In the morning, when I got out of bed I saw the other side of the bed that I did not sleep in - there were hairs on the sheet that WERE NOT MINE! I told the desk person as I checked out but he said he couldn't give any discount. I, in turn, told him that someone got paid to clean Room 89 but had not done so and that should be checked into before someone else has to suffer the nausea I felt when I saw what was on the sheets in the daylight.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 25, 2004 by
Debra K. from Marlton “We were given a room that wasn't even cleaned yet from the previous guest. I stayed at the same place last year and there were bugs on the wall.” Sep 23, 2004 by
Cynthia B. from Huntingdon Valley “No complaints!” Sep 22, 2004 by
William Z. from Fond Du Lac “Cheap, basic hotel as expected.” Sep 22, 2004 by
Christopher T. from Philadelphia “The hotel was a little on the dirty side.” Sep 21, 2004 by
William S. from Richmond “The room was large, obviously had not been refurbished in a long time. Lighting very poor. There was an iron and ironing board and coffee maker. Bathroom not as clean as usual, but towels were acceptable. Soap was coarse with a strong and unpleasant odor. Shower curtain was old. Beds were comfortable, old linens. I would not stay there again.” Sep 21, 2004 by
Margaret R. from Painted Post “Well this was a great weekend BUT, The hotel was horrible. I would never stay there again. I was not happy when we arrived and it was run down. I mean the pictures on the internet were very nice but wait until you get there and see it for yourself. Another thing was that we had problems with our plumbing. One day we couldn't get the toilet to flush and then the next day we didn't get hot/warm water to shower with. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I was very unhappy and thanks for the people that were on the trip with me to let me have a good time because when I saw where I was going to be sleeping it made me sick. NEVER AGAIN!!!!”
