• I liked the staff, the cleanliness, pool and accommodations.
• There was construction on site, that I wasn't told about, that made coming and going difficult.

“Nice hotel. I'd suggest it, when the construction is completed. The staff was very accommodating, nice and helpful. Very clean lobby, room, bathroom, and pool/jacuzzi. The beds were comfortable too. Straight shot to VA Beach.”

• the room and the lobby were clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was more than adequate and reasonably priced.
• The pool area could use some lounge chairs

• I liked the free computer station in the beautiful lobby by the fireplace.
• The location was a little off the main downtown and felt a little sketchy at night, but was well lit.

“The staff were very friendly and the lobby was very nice and cozy. Although, the room was not very large, it was well laid out.”

• Very comfortable.
• The bath tub did not have a mat or rubber things inside it. Thus making it slippery. Also the valet parking fee was a bit high.

• Beds & pillows were awesome, huge bathroom, very quiet!
• Loved everything.

“I was in town to go to a concert at the Norva and selected this hotel because of the location. It is directly across the street from MacArthur Mall and less than 2 blocks from the Norva. The beds and pillows are fantastic - the most comfortable I have experienced anywhere! The bathroom is huge and the water pressure in the shower is great. There is a really nicely equipped gym on the 5th floor, and a wonderful patio that is accessible from both the 5th & 6th floors. The staff at this hotel is very friendly, efficient and helpful. The valet even moved my driver's seat back to the correct position when he brought my car down! Overall, staying at this hotel was a great experience and this is the only hotel I will stay at in Norfolk.”

• Breakfast, valet parking.

“The room price was fine. Coming and going at our leisure cost us another $10 per day in tips! And our car was parked about 15 feet from the front door, where we could have easily gotten it yourself without waiting. Otherwise, the hotel itself was clean and beautiful, nice room size.”

• The rooms seemed very new.
• Nothing to dislike.

“We got in very late at night and the front desk receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was wonderful. Everything seemed new. The bathroom was very clean. The bed was really comfortable. Parking was $18 but there is public parking around. Since we got in late we did valet. It was quick and easy. I would stay here every time I was in Norfolk.”

• The pillow top on the beds after shopping all day.
• Valet parking was 15.00 day.

“I enjoyed the hotel, I would have liked that the breakfast would have been included. Also the 15.00 a day parking fee was a little shocking, but the valet guys were all very nice and never kept you waiting for your car, 100% of the time the truck was there before I came down. I really had a good time and have already told people about my wonderful stay.”

• The staff was fabulous, right on top of things and very polite.
• The pool could have been a little cleaner, but other than that it was a great hotel.

“I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was on top of things. I'm from Orlando and the people in Orlando I notice are rude! Now that I have stayed in VA. Your hotel was great keep up the great work! Thank you for making my stay even more enjoyable. I really was impressed with the staff.”

• Very nice, accommodations, staff very friendly, location right next to mega shopping and downtown activities.
• Parking was expensive $15 a night.

“Rooms are nice and roomy with internet service. Staff very friendly. Room service was excellent and food is priced very reasonably and was very good. My husband had the Norfolk crab dinner and thought it was excellent!”

• Charged items from little snack store and guy had a hard time figuring how to do it and give me a receipt.

“Good price. Was not charged the valet parking fee either time I stayed here. Both times for concert at Ted Constant Convocation Center. Beds comfortable.”

• room clean and good condition. Beds very comfortable
• valet parking. Had to pull in to small entrance way. No self parking. Front desk not knowlegable about surrounding restaurants when asked

“Close to the waterfront. Right across from shopping mall. Able to walk to numerous restaurants. About 10 minute drive to Ted Constant Convocation Center where I was going to a Concert. (Leave at least an hour before the concert though due to traffic for concert once you get on Hampton Blvd.”

“Overall my experience was very good. The only issue I had was that the mattresses were too soft and no substitue room was offered. An initial mixup when I was originally assigned to a rrom that was occupied and was able to enter the room. It would not have been a good experience if it had happened to me.”

“This hotel is located right in the mix of all of the Downtown happenings. Its within walking distance to the waterfront as well as an upscale mall complex. The mall is location right behind the hotel and the waterfront is about 3 city blocks away!!!”

• Away from the hub of the downtown crowd, but close enough tht we could see the things we wanted to see
• Housecleaning staff had piles of stuff on the floor, we had to actually walk on and over the mounds of dirty laundry in order to get to the elevators

• love to go back anytime
• was charged for valet parking although I did not have a car.

“I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone I know who would be staying in the area. The location is perfect for those looking for a night on the town with a wide range of dining, bar, and nightclubs within short walking distance of the hotel. But for some the extreme comfort of the room will make them rethink leaving.”
