• Towels were like sand paper, no refrigerator in room.

• Nicely decorated and clean.
• Very noisy, mattress too flimsy.

“All considered, this hotel is very nice. The kids were very loud in the pool, which was open until 11pm, and our room was right by the pool. The walls were thin. The room was very clean, and nicely decorated.”

• Good location and good and nice room.
• The hotel cancelled my reservation, even thought I paid for the room. My plane was cancelled and I spent the night at the airport.

“The manager of the hotel was very rude. She cancelled my reservation because I did not call the hotel. The flights were cancelled due to weather and my hotel information was in my luggage. I spent the night in the hotel. They gave me my room when I threaten to contact the corporate office for Marriott. If I pay for a room, it should not matter if I stay in the room or not.”

• It was not far from I- 64 and the Virginia beach boardwalk.
• Small room. Refused to confirm bed(s) and non-smoking before check in.

“I was very disappointed in doubletree, it was only three days until my stay with my family and I had no idea if half of us had a place to sleep. It was quite upsetting. I was already on vacation and made the reservation to extend our trip. I had no way to pack an air mattress or cots. Also the parking was really far from the building.”

• Was not clear that pool and Jacuzzi are open from June.

• Convenient location, close to Concert hall.
• Our room was right across from the ice machine (noise from ice and guest) movie channel did not work properly.

“The room location was not to my satisfaction and the guest services was not the best.”

• Rooms were very clean, and the beds very soft. Really appreciated the big soft pillows.
• There were 2 bottles of water there for our convenience; however, they cost you $2 each if you drank them. Not a good idea!

“The room was very clean and roomy. Enjoyed the soft bed and large soft pillows. The bath was also very large. Personnel was very friendly and helpful.”

• It was clean, quiet, and of excellent quality.
• When I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm, the side doors of the hotel were unlocked.

“I had a wonderful stay. The front lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and quite clean. My only concern with the whole visit was that the side doors of the hotel were not locked late at night, even though there was a sign on them stating that they would be.”

• The beds were very comfortable and the room was extremely clean.
• The room and staff were great. I enjoyed everything about my stay.

“I was very pleased with my stay at the Courtyard by Marriot. I had the best nights sleep and thought the room was wonderful. The staff at the counter were very friendly and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• It was convenient and the staff was very professional.
• Upon arriving the sheets didn't appear very clean and no room service.

“This hotel was located conveniently to shopping, entertainment and restaurants. I would have enjoyed it much better if I could have received room service and I could have felt like the sheets had been cleaned and changed.”

“The courtyard Marriott was clean and comfortable with large rooms and the usual amenities. It was surprising to find that there was not a complementary continental breakfast but had instead a full breakfast buffet at a reasonable price.”
