• It had a little kitchen and I was able to cook for my children.
• They did not have a pool nor a gym.

• The bathroom and kitchenette were very clean.
• Dirty carpet.

“I've stayed in this establishment before several weeks ago. The staff remembered me and called me by name. The hotel is in a fairly secure area and the property locks down at 11pm and only those with key cards can access the property. This is a pet friendly hotel and the carpet in the hallways is filthy! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms and kitchens are remarkably clean.”

• Excellent location and terrific staff. Love the full sized fridge too.
• Sketch air conditioning and TV controls, but not bad.

“This is a no-nonsense extended-stay type of facility; no pool, but a decent laundry area, nice big refrigerator/kitchen area, decent sized rooms and a great location. The TV is not great (though show time was nice, where is the Speed Channel? This is the South for goodness sake.) Of course, if you are staying here for a week you should be out and about and not sitting around watching TV.”

• Air quality was not good.

“The hotel room was good, except for the following: Through the narrow crack of light (when curtains were almost closed during daylight/daytime), that came through the wind. I noticed a large amount of dust in the air. I think the air quality in the room was not terribly good. This is not easily noticeable, when waling in, but is noticeable, after spending a night in the room. And I noticed a slight uneasiness with my allergies, breathing not optimum. So I suggest cleaning or replacing with better filters throughout.”

• They allow pets (I'm allergic to dogs & cats).

“The staff is very friendly and helpful. They allow pets and I'm allergic to dogs & cats. After spending a little time in our room I could tell that a dog or cat had been there. I told the lady at the front desk and she moved us to another room where there had been no pets. The room was also a grade up from the one we had and they did not charge us anything extra.”

• I liked the location, the room size.
• I didn't like the fact of not having someone check me in. My key was left in a lock box.

“I enjoyed the convenient location and surroundings. Because it was a family friendly hotel, I was awaken each morning before 8Am to the sounds of what I believe to be kids, jumping around above our room. I thought it was strange, but when we arrived there wasn't anyone on duty. My name was attached to a lock box with my room keys inside. What if something went wrong in the middle of the night and we needed to change rooms?”

• The staffs were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean.
• I didn't like that you had to pay for Wi-Fi services most upgraded hotels give free net, and the cable station listing were few.

“The area this ESA was located in was a secure area in my sense. Ease of locating shops and restaurants was wonderful. However, I did not like the fact that there was a charge for Wi-fi usage. In most of your bigger hotel establishments Wi-Fi (net) is free. Furthermore, The cable listing is very limited. I feel for the price that is charged for the rooms the list should be expanded to digital, to include, channels that may desire for whom ever and what ever one would like to view.”

• This hotel was close to a lot of different stores and restaurant.
• There were a lot of sleazy people in and around the hotel. I didn't feel safe.

• My room and the hotel grounds were clean.
• Appropriate for a 1 star.

“This hotel is perfect if you are simply looking for a place to sleep that is clean and convenient. The location is convenient to shopping and major roadways. However, there are absolutely no amenities in this hotel and there is a $4.99 charge for internet so business travelers beware. The rooms do have a full-size refrigerator, microwave and cook top. However, there are a number of restaurants nearby as well.”

• Very conveniently located to local shopping and restaurants.
• The furniture upholstery and rug was very dirty and smelled bad. My daughter got dirty clothes playing on the floor.

“Outside was very neat in appearances, pleasant landscaping. Front desk: generally pleasant, not quick to respond to security concerns. Room: bed was comfortable, kitchen clean, floor & furniture smelled bad & had above & below surface level dirtiness. Overall: not very good.”

• Handicapped bathroom and shower.
• Dirty carpet... have to change your own linen and make your own bed daily or pay extra.

“Extended Stay America is just what it's name says. It's ONLY for people who are planning to have an "Extended (lengthy) Stay. "However if you are Not planning a long stay you are screwed because there is No hotel restaurant (I had to go next door to the Marriott Courtyard just to eat breakfast, or order take out from one of the fast-food places a few blocks away). There's also No normal "daily" room service -- unless you pay extra for it. For people like me who are use to being pampered just a little bit, this hotel is Not the one. However I think ESA is great for students... business men... traveling sales people and other folks who can live happily ever after cooking their own meals and pampering themselves.”

• Our room had one double bed and we had three people traveling.

“My only complaint was that we indicated we had 2 adults and a child traveling and this hotel was the only one that gave us a room for one person. We checked in real late due to traffic so we made the best of it. They did have a reclining chair.”

“The hotel is close to the beach and to the shopping mall in Hampton. I'd recommend the hotel if you are looking for a place where you can stay longer. The hotel has wireless internet connection for only $4.99 for your stay: the connection quality is pretty good.”
