Rachel from Spokane, WA
“If you can get this hotel for less than 60 dollars a night and you're just looking for a place to sleep this should be fine. However, it is not a three star hotel, and even 2.5 is a bit high. No free breakfast, no nightly cookies, not really near anything we wanted to see (not near Jamestown, Yorktown, or Williamsburg. Took us nearly an hour to drive to Virginia beach).” May 30, 2007 by
David from Havertown, PA
“It's best considered moderate, not "upscale," but the staff was truly excellent. Beds weren't great, though.” May 29, 2007 by
Daniel from Gahanna, OH
“Very pleasant and helpful staff. Room was nice, but not luxury-quality. This is a nice middle of the road business-class hotel. Restaurant was below average food and service quality.” Apr 9, 2007 by
Winnie from Fayetteville, NC
“You won't find a better staff. Very clean hotel with free DVD Rentals, pool toys and boards games for the kids. Great family hotel especially if you are on a budget. Great location. Hotel is older but very well maintained.” Apr 5, 2007 by
Carmen from Stone Mountain, GA
“Very nice, moderate hotel. Great location. Great staff!” Apr 4, 2007 by
Kenya from Charlottesville, VA
“I don't understand how this place could get the rating that it received; it was in the mold of a motel 6 or hourly rate hotel. I should get a refund.” Mar 28, 2007 by
Deborah from Chocowinity, NC
“Very good hotel, for the price you can't beat it!” Mar 22, 2007 by
Jeff from Midlothian, VA
“We had a present stay and we would recommend staying here with children.” Mar 21, 2007 by
William from Midlothian, VA
“Clean and courteous, but not a three star hotel.” Jan 23, 2007 by
Nick from Griffin, GA
“Old mattress, dirty carpet, bad HVAC system. Place needs some work. Nice staff is only redeeming feature.” Jan 2, 2007 by
Bj from Apple Valley, CA
“It was nice and close for family reasons and we enjoyed the people who worked the desk. All in all it was good.” Dec 27, 2006 by
Nancy from Lancaster, VA
“Although it appeared that they were attempting to make it a three star hotel, a close look revealed that the entry door had been broken in to, there was rust around the inside of the bathroom door and there were ants on the bathroom floor. The microwave didn't heat but because the sleeping arrangements were adequate, we felt no need to complain. Last month my husband used it to get a three star hotel on the same street and was sent to the omni. He said there was no comparison. That hotel was three stars!” Dec 13, 2006 by
Richard from Virginia Beach, VA
“I was very disappointed-we are regular and frequent customers! Only 2 hotels in the area as 3 star-point plaza and the Marriott city center Newport news, va- pp was a 1 star motel by comparison with the Marriott. A big hip-hop party was in progress until 5am on the floor above and in the halls and repeated calls to the front desk did not produce any action- we neither slept nor kept warm- the weekend was a disaster, and when we left, we forgot a valuable luggage item, but when we called to retrieve it, we were told it did not exist, although we went directly home and couldn't have lost it anywhere enrooted. A thoroughly disappointing point plaza experience.” Dec 9, 2006 by
Paul from Richmond, VA
“Nice, but not exceptional, extended stay property. Rooms were comfortable and generally well appointed but there were several disappointments. First, and worst, was the smoke smell that permeated the floor on which I stayed. Although my room was nominally non-smoking, the rooms across the hall allowed smoking and the smell was strong. Also the sheets and pillow cases were obviously not allocated based on smoking preference as my bedding was infused with a strong odor. Layout of the hotel also was confusing and parking was limited leading me on a long circuit to my room.” Dec 6, 2006 by
Jane from Burke, VA
“The hotel should so something about security. Somebody broke into my car and tried to steal my car. My ignition was destroyed in the process.”
