• No swimming pool, no microwave oven in room, room not clean enough.

“As per hotel description, I expected microwave oven in the room, swimming pool and restaurant in the hotel and good breakfast. Hotel lacks all of these.”

“I purchased 2 rooms: one for me and my partner and one for my elderly parents, for my son's graduation. Both rooms were filthy and smelled terribly. I had to purchase and empty containers of Febreeze and Oust just to make the rooms tolerable. The sliding door screens had holes and let in the flies and the AC did not work but blew hot air. If it weren't for the local graduation you couldn't have paid me to stay there.”

“If you plan on staying a night in Ithaca and do not care too much about relaxing in the hotel, I would recommend this to you. The location is very good. It is very close to all the major shops like Target, Wegmans, Wal-Mart and is located on Route 13 which is also an advantage. I only wish the hotel was clean. There is a Hampton Inn on the other side of the road that I highly recommend. For $20 extra, there is a lot of difference.”

• Close to everything, very clean.
• Recommend putting an extra set of towels in rooms - would feel more luxurious.

“We rented two rooms for visits to Ithaca College and Cornell University. Hotel within 15 minutes from each; 10 minutes to the Commons. Easy to find on highway but walking possible (sidewalks and street lights) to Friendly, Wal-Mart. High school-age children loved location. • Convenient, clean and friendly.
• A little pricy for a Comfort Inn.

• Hotel was not as attractive as I thought.

• The rooms were clean towels were fresh, everything worked.
• Water pressure was low.

“The hotel room was clean and comfortable with Spartan accommodations. Slightly on the small side, the bathroom was in good clean condition (something the ladies like to hear) with fresh towels each day, the sheets were fresh and clean no stains on pillows or carpeting breakfast was continental, no frills somewhat stingy but enough to get you started. We had a refrigerator, iron and ironing board. No closet. The hotel service did a nice job of cleaning up for us each day. Everything was in working order. No noticeable damage to the decor. If I go to Ithaca again I would stay at this motel.”

• First room had bad odor. Had to request new room.

• We liked everything but the 2 things that stood out were the excellent quality mattresses and that they had homemade waffles for breakfast!
• Nothing.

“Our stay here was excellent. The room was comfortable (and warm!), the location was very convenient to Cornell and the people were great. They had an excellent continental breakfast. We would definitely come back again.”

• Had to walk up flight of stairs.

“More than met my expectations, don't know why this hotel was rated only two stars - deserves more. I needed to call for directions and was helped by staff wonderfully.”

• The staff was cordial.
• The overall appearance was dingy.

“My hotel room was filthy including a dirty blanket and moldy shower curtain. When asking to switch to a different room, the front desk said it was not possible. I then asked for a refund for the second night so I could change hotels. At this point she was then able to find a room. This room was cleaner, however, the overall quality and cleanliness caused me to not want to work in my room and spent most or my stay in the bookstore working from there. .”

• No elevator. "Industrial" looking not at all distinctive.

• It had a sliding glass door with a screen door that you could open and allow fresh air in!
• There's nothing!

“This hotel was in a great location for where we needed to be. We enjoyed the local shopping. The staff was very nice and helpful with directions. The breakfast was very satisfying and the lobby area was clean and inviting. The room was comfortable and clean. I would stay there again if I need to return to the area.”
