• They served a good breakfast.
• The walls are thin - you can hear doors slamming and people taking in the hall way.

“For business travel, it is a good hotel. For family leisure, it will do the job, but could have been more quite - doors slam when going in and out of the facility.”

• I like how pleasant the staff was and how easy the check in/ out process was.
• There wasn't anything that I didn't liike.

• The price was right with a nice breakfast included.
• It was quite difficult to find, especially at night, when returning from downtown.

“The Best Western Hotel,Annapolis MD, is a very nice clean hotel with a good breakfast included in the price. It is not easy to find, the sign on Riva Road is small and easy to miss, especially at night. Google or mapquest could not give us an adequate map or directions. Once we figured it out, we had no problems but the first time at night we had to stop twice to ask for directions.”

• Great having real freezer section in min fridge. Single cup at a time coffee makers was a pain. Shower head was great, I wish I had one at home.

“Beds very comfortable, shower head was just great pressure/power wish I had one at home. Shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser in shower was futuristic but much easier than mini-bottles or plastic sleeves of product. The real freezer section in mini-fridge was great, was able to refreeze ice packs for lunch bag used for picnic side trips. Single queen rooms are kind of small.”

• Close to the historic town, I love history.
• I was a little nervous about the door I had to share between rooms, but I loved the room.

“The hotel was in a great location, but it was a little hard to find. I loved my room it was so comfortable. My next vacation there, and it will be a next time, I am going to request to same exact room. I am a History major so the trip was perfect for me.”

“Would absolutely stay again and hope to get it when making a bid. Staff is exceptionally accommodating and friendly. Great breakfast. Cannot beat quality for price paid. Wonderful experience. Close to Six Flags Amusement Park.”

• Room Smelled Fresh
• cable very bad; no king beds

“I have two complaints, first the television channels are horrible. There were just basic channels, no more than 20 channels. No premium channels or even mid level channels. Secondly, there were no King beds available. In previous hotels I've never had an issue with switching rooms.”

• The breakfast was better than expected.
• The door to the room did not close unless you actually pushed it hard closed.

“I enjoyed my stay. When I got to the hotel they told me I would have to change rooms for the next night to a smoking room. After much discussion and going down early the next morning, I was able to stay in my room, but a hassle to do so.”

“Clean, pleasant. The staff was fine, but could have been friendlier. I appreciated the continental breakfast, and the help I got in my quest for wireless internet. Mattress was too much like a trampoline.”

“The room was much nicer than I had anticipated due to recent renovations. Great breakfast setup. I was very pleased but felt I could have done better on the price at least on my second day.”

• They had a great breakfast spread. It included cereal, sausage and biscuits, hard boiled eggs, as well as the usual pancakes, waffles and sweet rolls.
• Rooms, while clean were small. Bathrooms and sink areas were also on the small side.

“Great rooms for a business traveler. Rooms and amenities are small and lacking for families, the pool being the only entertainment. Staff was very personable and very willing to help their guests.”

“If all you are going to do is sleep there, it's a decent value. However, constant rolling by of the attendant's carts, housekeeping knocking at 8:00am, footsteps and creaking from the upstairs rooms, make for a noisy experience. Very poorly marked from the street.”

• Room was the worst I have ever stayed in; no amenities to the bath at all, dark, depressing room.

“The hotel needs upgraded drastically. The room we had was dark and dreary. The bath had little light; I could hardly put my contacts in let alone someone putting makeup on. The hotel front desk gentleman was exceptional; he should be working at a better hotel. Made dinner reservations for me with out a problem. I had trouble with the ancient TV. In the room and he talked me through fixing it. I would not stay at this hotel with the price I paid ever again!”

• It was a very bright a cheerful resting place saw upon opening the door.
• There was no stopper for the tub, I stand on my feet and walk on the job and I like to have a tub that will hold water and then let if drain out.

“I was impressed with how well equipped the exercise room was, especially for the size being small. It seemed not to be lacking for equipment, so it was definitely designed well for a work out. Also the extra measure of security by having to use your room key to enter the building was a great idea. Nothing like feeling safe and secure in your room to enable you to have a good night sleep. Best of all the location. I was going to Baltimore, and the drive was practically a straight shot up 97 for me the following day.”

• It was close to DC and much cheaper! The area is beautiful! Lots of shopping!!
• I saw a roach on the bathroom door and a big spider on the wall by the door.

“The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. The free breakfast selection was wonderful and there was quite a selection. The linens smelled very, very clean and the room didn't smell like it was just sprayed with Fabreeze to cover up any odors. My room was newly renovated and the staff made sure that I got what I had requested. A room on the ground floor and a non-smoking room. One gal at the front desk was so very cheerful and gave great directions on how to get there. What an asset to the Best Western! The entire staff was very efficient and it was the best experience Ive had at this kind of hotel. I will stay there again when Im up there in the future.”

“Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Partying crowd knocking on door 2'oclock am police had to be summoned. Staff was very accommodating about room change. I was very disappointed; expected better.”

• Dumpy. Claimed recent renovation? Where?

“The best western Annapolis is consistent with most motels flying the best western flag. Older, somewhat dumpier establishments well past their prime. Stay here only if you are looking for a low price. It's in a decent location about five minutes drive to the historic area and was reasonably clean.”

• Not much comes to mind! Rude staff! Smoky rooms, Hated it!
• Pretty much everything.

“OK so there were no bugs there but the hotel room was to be nonsmoking and it was so smoked filled that we couldn't breathe when we entered! I asked to get our room changed since I have health problems and small children with me and the hotel staff wouldn't move us at first! They came up and sprayed air freshener to cover the smell and told us to leave for a while to let it settle and take affect! Oh Please! Come On! That didn't work and finally I was able to get us moved! I wouldn't suggest going there again!”

• Had a refrigerator and microwave.
• Hard to find, slow staff, free wireless too slow, TV problems.

“Just a basic older motel. Located behind very large business parking, lots off Riva road. Rooms open to the outside for easy access. Relatively clean and well kept up for the value. The staff was confused with the reservation at first, but after mulling around for a while everything was fine. The hotel offered free wireless internet, but during peak times it would not work. The TV only had about 15 channels and 2 of them had reception problems. Noise could be heard from adjoining rooms. Overall it is worth staying if you can get a low price.”

“This hotel seemed very duchy, but the rooms are great and very clean, the house keeper was wonderful they all deserve a raise or free dinner or something, even a four star room was as clean as this one. They could more exterior decorating. They could also use a cafe around them.”

• Mold in the bathroom, cigarette burn in bedding in a non smoking room with ashtray.

“They are undergoing renovations which appear to be not great quality. We did enjoy the breakfast and front lobby and the staff, but the rooms smelled bad, there was mold in the bathtub and the exercise facility/equipment was very disappointing.”

“The last time I stayed here the only thing I liked was that there was a bottle opener on the door frame, in my last stay the bottle opener was upside down. This should likely be a one star.”

• Free high speed internet and extremely friendly staff.
• Paper thin walls made it difficult to rest. Ask for the inside building!

“For the price we paid, we were very happy with this hotel. The staff was friendly, the continental breakfast was okay, and the free wireless high speed internet was a big bonus, but the walls were PAPER thin and we were woken up three times in the night by drunk people loitering on the motel balconies. The pool was also exceptionally small. However, there were two buildings in the hotel, one of which had inside hallways, so I wonder if our experience would have been better in that building.”
