“My only complaint is that there is another Marriott (not a Courtyard) less than three blocks away on the same street. It is difficult to realize that you are at the wrong Marriott until you have already parked unless you read the signs closely. Other than that it was a very positive experience.”

- Housekeeping is a total disaster.
“Room was not made up even though it was requested. Maid did not understand English so I had a hard time asking for an extra blanket. Lack of soap is another inconvenience. Very disappointed.”

- Very clean with nice staff and rooms.
“This was a very nice hotel with an exceptional staff. The hotel was very clean inside and out which I found very nice since there is a great deal of construction in the area. The staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions for the area. When I left my camera in the dining room it was promptly returned to the front desk for me. The breakfast served in the dining room was typical Marriott breakfast.”

- The beautiful area that the hotel is located in Baltimore is perfect for travelers of all ages.
- It does not give out free stays.

- Good location, close to different sights. Fitness cardio equipment was very good and up to date.
- The staff was not friendly, very thin room wall- could hear people next door.
“The hotel was clean and located close to the Pier and different sights. The staff was not friendly (well this one guy that worked at the front desk) and always had this attitude - don't ask me anything. Other ladies were nice. The walls were very thin, we could hear the people next door. They were very loud around 10:30 pm, we called front desk to do something about it - they sent a security person and he asked them to be quiet, which happened only 30 minutes after his visit.”

- They gave us a half drank bottle of free wine when they disappointed us.
- The phone rang every 20 minutes from 6am-noon. It was ridiculous.
“Overall this hotel was disappointing. First when we arrived only the heat worked in our room and it was 80 degrees outside. Then we called down to the bar and it didn't open until 5 p.m. Then at 5 p.m. the bartender did not show up to work, so they gave us an already opened bottle of wine to make up for it. We were trapped in the parking garage at 1 a.m. and could not leave. It was only 4 ladies in the room. It was about 11 p.m. and we got a noise complaint. All we were doing was talking. Not drinking or anything and we got a complaint for just talking. Then at 6 a.m. the phone started ringing twice every 20 minutes 3 until our actual 11 p.m. wake up call. When we would pick up the phone we would just get a hang up. It was miserable.”

- The location was convenient and room comfortable and clean.
- We encountered 3 different front desk employees, and none were very friendly. no smiles, like they were inconvenienced by us.
“The presentation of the hotel was great! It was clean and very welcoming. The first issue we had was no notification of where to park. Secondly, the staff at the front desk were not very pleasant. No one looked at us when we were talking and they didn't even smile! They were terse with us and were acting as though we were inconveniencing them when we were checking in.”

“The hotel had a multiple murder within hours of my departure. I was afraid to be outside the hotel after dark as the drug dealers and hookers walked by. The restaurant only has breakfast available. Parking garage is not well lighted and the fee of $22 per day was beyond ridiculous. The staff during the day and early evening was courteous, but much less so as the evening progressed.”

- Terrific room with nice small amenities like a fridge and microwave.
- Parking is a $13.25 fee per 24 hours, can not charge it to the room.
“My wife and I were wonderfully surprised when we walked into our room for the overnight we planned in Baltimore. The room was spacious and well laid out. It even included a small refrigerator and microwave. It is conveniently located just a few minutes walk to the inner-harbor area, so getting downtown was easy (only 1.5 miles to Camden Yards). The hotel also partnered with a couple local restaurants for delivery of food directly to your room. Although parking was not included in the overnight ($13.25 for a 24 hr period), it was connected to the hotel. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.”

- Contemporary design is very nice, which makes my stay really comforting.
- I was not told that breakfast was not complimentary, hence I had additional expenses.
“I am a graduate student traveler, and this hotel is one short taxi ride away from the university of Maryland Baltimore. The hotel is located really close to little Italy. I am not a bar person, but I guess it would be helpful for those who like to go out, eat and drink. The inner harbor is just a short walk. Overall, this hotel is very nice.”

- The friendliness of the staff. Very attentive and helpful.
- The parking garage attendants. Rude. Not owned by hotel.
“This was a great hotel and I would stay there again. The parking garage is not owned by the hotel, and the hotel staff agreed, that the attendants did not have good customer service. The hotel gave us a card to swipe for free parking. When we presented it to the parking attendant, he said we could not use it that we had to pay $27. He was very rude and made the 5 cars behind us back up so that we could drive back up to the hotel to get our ticket validated since the swipe machine was broke. The hotel staff said he could have just called them to verify instead of making us go through all of that. He was the rudest man, and we told him that we had a flight to catch could he please just call the hotel to verify the free parking and he would not. He just yelled at us, which most of it we did not understand and kept pointing for all of the cars to back up.”

- Friendly staff, good buffet breakfast for $10.95.
- No lunch or dinner, limited pool hours and weak gym.
“I met at first blush a very friendly staff member who had acting experiences in common with my daughter that was a good way to start the experience. Buffet breakfast was great although I ate way too much, highlighted by creamed chipped beef on an English muffin and corned beef hash on toasted rye. Fresh strawberries, melon, pineapple were treats, also.”

- The people were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.
- It was a little further away from the convention center than I would have liked.
“This is a very nice hotel for the business traveler. I didn't feel like I was paying for a lot of extras that the business traveler doesn't usually need. It's newly and nicely redecorated, with a computer area, small bar area, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. They have a restaurant with a buffet if you are in a hurry. The restaurant is only open for breakfast, but there are many nearby places to get a great dinner. It is a little far away if your business is at the convention center, but there always seemed to be cabs available in front to take you where you need to go.”

- Location, near little Italy, inner harbor, convention centre.
- No parking. No shuttle service to convention center.
“Clean, with a friendly staff. Conveniently located next to whole foods, little Italy, inner harbor, wine store, and more. No parking, you have to pay a high rate at a parking garage unless you park your vehicle and leave it all day/night. Convention center and Camden yards are within a 30 minute brisk walk. No shuttle service available for business travelers with events at the convention center.”
