“Rare when the heating/cooling system works as needed. This hotel was no better nor worse than others, but from a designated three star hotel I expected better results. Room was too hot and difficult to obtain a comfortable sleeping temperature.”

  • Power outage, un informed staff, roaches at breakfast, free breakfast cost me 25 bucks.

“Arrived Sunday afternoon to be told my reservations were cancelled (I called 2 weeks before to confirm). Desk clerks made a big deal that reservation. Was cancelled. Later that night they lost all electricity in the hotel. Had to evacuate. I had to call my wife on my cell phone to tell her and she informed others on our floor. We were in the lobby for 2 1/2 hours not one announcement was made to inform guests of what was happening or if/when we could return to our rooms. We found out by word of mouth passing around from guest to guest that we could go back to our room by the stairs- as there was still no electricity.”

  • Charge of two dollars for a bottle of water.

“If the hotel would give the water as complimentary then the guest would like it much more instead of charging two dollars for water when you can go across the street and get the same water for a buck.”

“When we got in the room I noticed almost immediately that the tub needed some work where the faucet connects to the wall. There was visible caulking all along the faucet. There were smeared stains on the walls and the carpet was stained everywhere beyond repair and definitely needed to be replaced. The vending machine/ice area was filthy and the vending machines at everyone location was virtually empty. Right before lights out my husband had to kill a huge spider that was walking across the wall.”

  • Comfortable bed, very clean and cozy room. Staff was wonderful.
  • The fitness center.

  • Room decor was great and comfortable, but what's up with the lack of refrigerator? It would take $15 to rent per day.
  • The same, the fridge.

“I liked the hotel overall. After all, it's a Sheraton. The service was great; room decor was pleasing but for some reason you need to pay $15 per day if you would like to rent a fridge. Maybe it's something common in Baltimore?”

“The room was spacious and housekeeping did a great job every morning. The carpeting and wallpaper is worn but clean. The public spaces are undergoing renovation and workers were occasionally in the way but were friendly. The staff was helpful and gracious.”

  • I had to stay in a smoking room and it affected my allergies.

“This was my fourth stay at the Sheraton Baltimore North. My previous stays had all been on the "Club" floor, which is quieter, has larger rooms and better amenities. I was relegated to a noisy floor in a "smoking" room and I did not enjoy my stay nearly as much. It felt like a different hotel.”

  • Computer glitch lost my information my third day there. Restaurant service was slow.

“Overall I had a good experience at the Sheraton Baltimore north. The room was lovely and the maid service wonderful. The hotel is conveniently attached to a large mall, the Towson city center, which helped with last minute Christmas shopping and restaurants, other that the rain at the Sheraton. One drawback was a computer glitch which lost all my information on the third day of my stay. When I could not get into my room, the desk clerk seemed to think that I hadn't checked in, even though I had a room key. It was only when the night manager looked into the matter that it was resolved. If there was a computer problem, how come the desk clerk didn't know about it? This whole episode took an uncomfortable half hour that almost ruined a perfect day¿s went to the hotel's restaurant, rain, for breakfast each morning and even though it was generally empty, service was extremely slow. Once I had to approach the kitchen door to find anybody to take my order. The food itself was quite good and the wait staff was friendly when they appeared. I was at the hotel for five days.”

  • Close to Inner Harbor, yet cheaper by far. Cleanest hotel we've seen in a while. Staff very good.
  • Dark blue pinstripe bedroom design is gloomy. Breakfast coffee HORRID.

“A perfect hotel for an Inner Harbor visit, if you don't mind driving 15 minutes. We didn't mind at all. This saved money, and we didn't sacrifice a bit of comfort. The Sheraton was VERY clean, well-run, and well-maintained. Reception/concierge and wait staff were great. New dark blue pinstripe bedroom design is trendy, but gloomy, I thought. Bed and shower were great. My only complaint: the breakfast buffet was not very good and coffee was actually dreadful. (Sadly, that's typical for hotels in this range, so I wouldn't single out the Sheraton for criticism in that department.) Overall, well-recommended. Would do it again without hesitation. ”

  • Air conditioning would not turn off so I FROZE.

“Reservations went well, intervened to get my smoking room changed to a non-smoking room, and staff were friendly. The room was nice. But something I simply cannot understand is that the air conditioning throughout all the rooms was on until the entire building got switched over to heat, but that didn't happen the night I was there, so I was uncomfortably cold and frustrated that I couldn't do anything about it, nor could I move to another hotel with a more user friendly HVAC system. So I would recommend the place if you know for sure that your stay will coincide with predictable weather and temperature range, but for a Sheraton this was unacceptable, at least to me.”

  • Very nice dinner salads with generous chunks of crab meat.
  • mold content high. Water features inside hotel contribute to problem. I sneezed my way through meals.

“Convenient to Rte 695 and several universities, the Sheraton Baltimore North also provides easy access to the Towson town Mall via a skywalk. In the rooms, the pillows are nice, and the sheets are only slightly scratchy, however, avoid reading the books and magazines provided as you are likely to start sneezing from the mold content. The restaurant is good, and there are plenty of chain restaurants in easy walking distance if you are not interested in exploring further into Towson or sampling the goodies available in Baltimore proper.”

  • I didn't pay full price, because it wasn't worth it.
  • The party on our floor until 3AM, several rooms full of drunken wedding goers, hotel staff did nothing to quiet.

“Overall great location and nice facility. Pool was disgusting, in need of maintenance, and dirty. I felt as though we were stuck on a floor with twenty-something wedding guests as punishment for getting such a good price on the room. Hotel staff did nothing to help when midnight to 3 AM parties were coming and going on our floor.”

  • The room was comfortable and appeared to be clean.
  • Bathroom fixtures were not in good order and the shower was difficult to use.

“The room was pleasant even though it was not large and the bed was great. As noted, the shower was a pain to navigate. I did not like the additions to the room service bill, especially the integrated tip as I tipped before realizing it had already been added and I do not like that decision being made for me. I was also not happy with the two fire alarms due to someone's child's misbehavior, not to mention the continuing alarms due to the same problem and the response from the staff at that late hour was rude and insufficient.”

  • It is connected to a huge shopping mall via a skywalk.
  • The bathroom mirror was held up on blocks by duct tape and the mirror door for the closet had a large crack in it.

“This Sheraton has a wonderful location that is walking distance to hundreds of stores and businesses. It has free, safe covered parking and a small reasonably priced gift shop that also sells breakfast items (muffins, juice, etc.) Great value.”

  • Clean, quiet, inexpensive.
  • Housekeeper did not fix our bed properly, she just put quilt on top of messed up sheets without straightening bed first. We had to fix the bed ourselves.
