• Valet $36 a night.

“Beautiful hotel and ideally located near the water taxi, Little Italy and Fells Point. I would recommend the self park. My wife and 2 little kids walked everywhere and did not need the vehicle. Ask for a harbor view room, I was not charged anything extra for it.”

• The view from our room looking over the harbor.
• Getting to the parking lot from the hotel was hassle.

“I enjoyed staying at the hotel. We were within walking distance of the aquarium and the convention center. The room was very comfortable and the view from our room was lovely. The area was well lit so walking at night was not a problem.”

• Hotel had a view of the harbor which was great and we were able to walk instead of driving.
• Would have liked to have a room with a king size bed instead of double beds.

“It was a great hotel, the parking left a lot to be desired. It was expensive and one of the nights we came back, there was not 1 space available due to a concert at the pier. There are no alternatives.”

• Hotel was very quite and clean, very comfortable bed and the view over the harbor was amazing.
• I found the staff at check in rude, A smile and at least a pretense that one enjoys there job goes a long way.

“Overall my stay was very pleasant. The room was clean and the beds very comfy. The view was beautiful over the harbor. Nice in room amenities. coffee and tea provided. I will most likely choose this location again. It was in walking distance of some great places to dine.”

• It was beautifully located in downtown Baltimore with a marvelous view of the Inner Harbor.
• Virtually everything cost extra, the television had a charge for everything. Not good!

“My wife and I were gracefully cared for by the hotel staff and allowed an upgrade to a very attractive room. The hotel has a beautiful view of the Inner Harbor so the hotel is beautiful both inside and out. All the hotel staff was ready and willing to help.”

• The hotel staff was all very friendly - valet, front desk, concierge etc.
• I thought the parking of $36 was excessive.

“I toured the entire hotel area and noticed that cleanliness was top notch. Restrooms were very clean and comfortable. The bar area was clean, bartenders were quick to respond and helpful with suggestions for dinner and directions. The front desk personnel were expeditious and friendly. Overall I had no concerns with the hotel or staff and would stay there again.”

• The overall experience, paying to the hotel and the room service when it was not good at all.

“None of food service orders were correct. Children ran the halls knocking on guest doors and the security did not respond. My engagement weekend was ruined and to some everything up I was so disappointed about the weekend stay that I checked out.”

• Convenient (walk able) to both Inner Harbor area and Fell's Point, good concierge service.
• Thin towels, no robe, poor response to request for repair of broken bathroom outlet.

“The Marriott Waterfront is a pretty ordinary place, its tone more geared toward business travelers/meeting attendees than tourists/leisure travelers. The room was fine, but nothing special. The bed was comfortable. The towels should be a lot plusher in a 4-star hotel, and I was disappointed that there was no terry-cloth robe. My bathroom outlet was faulty (the ground fault button kept popping out as soon as an appliance was turned on) - they came to fix it while I was out, but apparently just pushed in the button without testing it, so of course it still didn't work. I called again the next day, but no one came - I ended up drying my hair in the bedroom each day. Room service was prompt, though trays did linger in the hallways. The food was typical undistinguished, overpriced hotel fare - with so many places to eat nearby, there's really no reason to eat there. The choice of in-room movies was truly dismal.”

• Concert pavilion on next pier can be loud on weekends.

“It is a very new, clean business type hotel with parking garage attached. Its just a short walk across the footbridges to the aquarium and inner harbor. The section of town seems to be an up and coming area, with an impressive fountain monument near its front entrance. The hotel had a large common area for relaxing and using wireless internet. Small pool and sundeck were available. Concert pavilion on next pier was loud into the evening on the waterfront side, but staff gave out information ahead of time. overall, it was an excellent hotel and I am glad I found it.”

“Had trouble getting adjourning rooms which was important to us considering we had a 2 and 3 year old traveling with us. We didn't want to separate rooms apart from each other. We had to switch rooms three times, definitely a hassle. Other than that, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and the location was great.”

“I was extremely please with this hotel. The room was spacious and elegant. The view of the harbor/waterfront was just lovely. This hotel replaces the Brookshire which use to be top on my list when traveling in Baltimore area!”

• There was nothing I disliked.

“The Marriott Baltimore Waterfront is an excellent hotel based on location to events and public transportation. Rooms are quiet and well-designed for the business traveler. An extra table or love seat would've made this room perfect for a leisure vacation.”

• Construction was outside our window. Obstructed some of the beauty of the view. Parking and food were very expensive.

• Crowded because it was a holiday weekend.

“I had never been to Baltimore and was nervous that the hotel may be far from all the great attractions. It was right in the thick of it all-It was a short and nice walk to everything- Little Italy for dinner, the aquarium, the science center, the ballpark, and shopping! I would stay here again w/o a doubt. Request a room w/ a water view!”

• Distant walk from baseball, all else fairly close. Water taxi.

“We were pleasantly surprised by this newly updated hotel. Staff was amazing, beautiful views, pretty/clean public spaces. Even the gym facility was nicely appointed and very clean. We would go back in a minute!”

• We requested a refrigerator in the room and in the middle of the night it broke. We lost our food.

“Very clean, convenient and had a great view. I would recommend it to anyone. However, we requested a refrigerator for the room and it broke during our second night. Along with us losing some sleep due to the noise it made we also lost the food we had in it.”

“This is a fabulous hotel in a completely remodeled upscale neighborhood in Baltimore. On one side you have the Inner Harbor and on the other is a great neighborhood complete with a whole foods and cool shops and restaurants. Around the corner is the Italian neighborhood. The front desk was great and gave us a beautiful room with a harbor view. Very clean and comfortable.”

• Front desk manager offered to upgrade my room to one with a fabulous view, when she didn't have the bed type I preferred.
• I initially checked into the wrong Marriott (the one closer to Camden Yards.) Bellman offered me a service car ride that cost more than a taxi would.

“We stayed here in June for a red sox game road trip. The hotel is located in a nice area with lots of shops, restaurants and movie theater. It is walking distance to several nice areas (little Italy, waterfront) and there is a water taxi stop directly in front of the hotel that gets you to lots of places for $9 a day unlimited rides.”

“This is a beautiful hotel, but, we were there because our son had surgery at Johns Hopkins. I asked to arrange for connecting rooms, so his medical needs could be looked after during the night. When we got to our rooms they were not connected and it took the hotel staff 2 hours to get us connecting rooms - after 2 hours they just gave us the one that was connected to one of the two rooms, we requested. My son was hungry and in pain, we were all very stressed from the day. They were very nice about it getting it straightened out but it should never have taken 2 hours to do it!”
