• The location is perfect, everything you need is right there.
• The price of parking is a little steep.

• Convenient location to inner harbor.
• The pool staff was rude.

“Conveniently located in the Downtown Inner Harbor area. Lovely lobby and hotel lounge area with Starbucks coffee. Attached to a nice mall. The pool needed some updating and the pool staff was rude. Overall, lovely hotel.”

• Room was standard. 5-star it wasn't.

“Check-in was easy. We did not valet park, self parking was not easily identifiable. We were given a standard room overlooking nothing scenic, so it wasn't worth opening the curtains. Bathroom was your typical standard bathroom. Room service was prompt and delicious. Hotel's location was central to all attractions. Staff courteous and friendly. Bottled water in room was $4 and sodas from machine were $2. Hotel gift shop wasn't as nice as you'd expect from a 5-star property. Sunday buffet brunch was $25 pp (after tip). Overall, nice hotel but certainly not the 5-star I expected.”

• This was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in!
• There was nothing really 4 star about the room.

“The location of the hotel was terrific. The lobby and staff were very nice. However, the room was very standard. The bed, on the other hand, was extremely comfortable with high quality bedding! Great nights sleep.”

• The bedding - especially double sheeting.
• Thin walls. Too noisy.

“The staff was polite. The room was large and comfortable. But the walls were too thin and I could hear normal conversation in the room next door. This was unacceptable at 1am and the only reason why I would not recommend this hotel to others.”

• Location directly on the Inner Harbor and comfortable beds with softest sheets ever!
• Uncomfortably hot in elevator (primarily parking elevator to underground garage).

• Location and spacious room. Got in early.
• A refrigerator in room would be nice. TV in bath.

“The hotel was very spacious and clean and nice. Great location. Bed was very comfortable. However, in other similar hotels I have stayed in there is a refrigerator in the room. That would have been nice. Parking also costs us about $26.00 for 24 hours.”

• Very friendly and courteous staff. Customer service was great.
• The bed was rock hard. pillows were 5 inches high and hard.

“This hotel was great. Minus the bed being hard and the pillows everything was excellent. The location is great if you are visiting the Inner Harbor, right across the street.”

• Very convenient location; hotel staff was very friendly.
• Security could be a bit better.

“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much. The staff was great and very accommodating. The location was perfect. The hotel is attached to a busy mall. That said, security should have been stationed at the elevators at lobby level to make sure only hotel guests have access to the guest rooms. This was not the case and I feel it's a security issue.”

• Location to Inner Harbor, cleanliness of room, fitness center, and hotel staff was excellent.
• Cost for parking - should be much less for hotel guests. Paid $5.00 down the street.

“The hotel was in an excellent location convenient to most attractions located near the Inner Harbor. Beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms. Loved the fitness center and pool. Parking should be less if staying at the hotel. We paid $5.00 for the whole weekend down the street as opposed to $25.00 per day where we were staying. Overall loved the hotel.”

“I love the rooms in this hotel, but unfortunately the staff was not accommodating. The parking was so overpriced and the people that work for the parking company were the rudest people I have ever met. Other than that the room service was ok.”

• No notice of setup for fireworks. Something they deal with every year. Could have given us information, when checking in or even have stuff on doors.

“Every nice hotel, but not the best for July 4. Could have done a great job there, but failed. Info would have saved problems for all guest. Closing off door to hotel, with no signs or workers to point out or tell what was going on. Every party needing room cards. Kids or other members may have stay to enjoy. Elevators could not handle everyone returning. Staff could have point that out earlier, with re-entry changes. We could have done dinner after fireworks or drinks at area club. Would stay again, just not for the 4th.”

“We watched fireworks from the hotel dining room. This hotel is directly across from all harbor amenities. It is short walk to fabulous Baltimore Aquarium, Orioles stadium and shopping. Try the crab cakes at any local restaurant!”

• I liked the amenities, the room service and it was attached to a mall.
• Woke several times with the strong feeling that there was someone in my room.

• Location! Plus there is a mall inside the hotel. A big mall!
• 35 dollar fee per day to park in garage. Crazy!

• There was no snack vending machines and the soda machine didn't work.

• The Renaissance was very convenient to the Inner Harbor. Staff was very hospitable and accommodating.
• The elevators were very warm and slow. Also we were told it would be a 40 minute wait for room service.

“We stayed at the Renaissance on the fourth of July. The Inner Harbor is directly across the street, convenient to everything. It was very nice to enjoy the fireworks then proceed to a cool hotel room instead being stuck in traffic for hours. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the Water table restaurant, the following morning with a wonderful view of the Inner Harbor.”

• The room was large, tastefully decorated, and comfortable.
• Hotel too crowded; pool was too small; many staff members clueless.

“It was a nice hotel, with a very central Downtown location. The room was fairly large and was tastefully decorated, had a huge bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. But the hotel itself was designed oddly, so my boyfriend and I had to walk for at least 5 minutes to get to our room. This normally isn't a big deal but I had cut my foot and was walking without shoes on. This was made worse by the fact that there was construction going on and dust everywhere. Also, the hotel was swarmed with large families who seemed to overtake pretty much any common area we were in for any period of time. Aside from that, the room was a great value and the room service staff was excellent!”

• Excellent value. Hotel is located in a prime location in walking distance of most Inner Harbor attractions.
• Hotel was undergoing renovation and we heard drilling in our room every afternoon.

“We would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The rooms are elegant and the lobby served as a very attractive area for lounging or doing work. In addition, the location cannot be beat! You can walk to all the Inner Harbor attractions and the hotel is attached to a beautiful shopping mall.”

• Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
• Fire alarm went off at 12:15 a.m. And had to evacuate from the 10th floor. Frightening and confusing.

“The hotel was great and we would stay there again despite the false alarm. At least we know the fire alarm works and that the stairwell door to the street was not blocked. Would have been better if a hotel employee were at the bottom of the stairwell to direct us where to go once outside, or if p.a. announcements could have given us status. Seemed to take forever to get the elevators running again once we were allowed back inside. Asked for and received a comped breakfast because of the false alarm.”
