“If you are looking for a luxury hotel that is close to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, the Intercontinental is perfect. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are wonderful - very comfortable beds, flat screen TV (there is even one in the bathroom), attentive and responsive staff.”

- It was close to all the attractions that we wanted to see.
- The room was definitely not a 4 star room.

- Beautiful lobby, plush, very comfortable beds, Indoor pool, quiet room away from city noises, hot tub closed.
- Inaccessible parking with costly valet parking.
“This Is a classy hotel with all the amenities Including an Indoor pool. Baltimore's Inner Harbor Is directly across the street. Rooms are spacious with beds that are well-appointed Including lots of pillows and a fluffy duvet. Room overlooked a flowered courtyard. Nice, though pricey selections from room service menu Including eggs benedict. Daily charge for wireless services, In-room movies pricier than most hotels.”

- The staff was very friendly and informative.

- Soft comfy beds.
- Expensive parking for a hotel, staff tried to make out with me at 4 AM.
“Well, I was initially looking for a hotel to stay in since my friends and I would be out drinking all night, and driving back to NJ was not an option. I did not think I would pay almost $20 to park overnight when valet was $21. The front desk guy was awesome, I accidentally left my camera and he called my room and let me know. The TV in the bathroom did not work, and the room did not exactly look like the pictures on line. But still nice, my bathroom was occupied by my friend so I went to look for one, a bell hop advised me that there was one on the 2nd floor and he took me there and back to my room, but then tried to hug me and I think he would have kissed me if I did not turn away. Kind of freaked me out. but I got back to my room and then went to bed. Nice place if you like to make out the help. Oh and the next morning I set my hair dryer down on the sink and the TV came on by itself. The Fuji water in the room was priced at $5.”

- There was nothing I disliked about this hotel.

- The Brightons restaurant was terrible. Brunch was actually quite lousy. Service mediocre, food terrible.

“Rated as a 4 star hotel but not in my book. Ordered breakfast in room (Manhattan bagel with salmon and cream cheese). Quite skimpy on the salmon. Also, the shower had plastic curtains. You would think that a 4 star rated hotel would have glass doors.”

- Close to inner harbor, clean, nice staff, comfy beds and rooms.
- The hotel charges $21.00 + tax to park in a public parking deck which itself only charges $17.00 per 24 hours. Hotel stealing money!
“The hotel was beautiful! better than I expected. Staff helpful and friendly. Our room could be a better color ( it was pep to pink) but the beds were very comfy with down everything! but watch out for parking. $21.00+tax/ night is what the hotel charges to park in the public parking deck that itself only charges $17.00/ 24 hours.”

- Thermostat in our room did not work.
“The thermostat in our room was broken, and the room was about 80 degrees the entire time. We told the hotel staff and it was not repaired for the second night of our stay. The hotel was very nice and close to the inner harbor. The hotel bar/lounges were a little to fancy for us just to get a drink or two.”

- Loved the friendly service. Loved the decor and fresh flowers in lobby. The whirlpool hot tub by the pool was the Best!
- The restaurant was beautiful with beautiful view. The food was average with above average prices.

- The water in the room went for $5 a bottle.
“This hotel met all of my expectations and then some. It was conveniently located in the Downtown Harbor area, and was convenient to everything (Dining, tourist attractions, etc). The hotel room was spacious and designed to have a romantic setting. The front desk staff was very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend this hotel as I feel as though I got a lot more than what I paid for.”

- I thought the size of the room was fantastic! Nice and roomy.
- The beds were double beds and not queens. Made it hard to sleep with 2 people.
“We had a fire alarm go off at 2am and it was very poorly handled. I called down (since this is not the first time I've been in a hotel when the alarm goes off and they are often false) and they said yes, you need to evacuate. When we got downstairs with children crying and the elderly dazed, no one on staff said a word but everyone was using the elevators and went upstairs. There was never an apology or explanation, or guidance or a caring attitude on the part of the staff. It was a terrible performance on their part.”

- The location was convenient. The room had an oversized tub and luxury bathroom.
- My room was noisy because it backed up to the cleaning service room.

- A lot of hidden fees, and must watch.
“It was a nice hotel, very close to all the inner harbor attractions. You have to watch all the extra charges. We opened the locked bar and found 2 items half drank. We told them about, they never sent anybody, we told them the next day, and they said they would not charge for it, but of course, they did.”

- Just one tennis ball available for tennis court.
“The hotel was nice. However I would not consider it a 4-star hotel. The parking was expensive. This is a beef of mine and will always be a beef why charge your paying customers to park. Other hotels like the omni in the cities that I have stayed in, do not charge their customers for parking. If you want to charge for parking at least a free car wash and polish should be thrown in for the cost. My car did not have a good experience, but I did.”

- The feather beds were very comfortable.
- The hotel clerk first said there was a room with a view and changed her mind when she saw what we paid for the room.

- This was an amazing hotel. We absolutely loved everything about it.
- It was perfect.
“This is a beautiful; wonderfully decorated hotel with huge well-appointed rooms; heavenly beds and all the amenities. The flat screens in the bedroom and bath were a huge plus; as well as built in storage in the bathroom for extra towels; combined with all the extras (toiletry wise) that you might need. The carpeting was not only beautiful; but thick and comfy on the feet. The front desk staff was the best trained and most professional staff I've dealt with anywhere. A nice bonus is the location combined with the fact that you can get discounted members' only tickets (no lines; no entry times) with free dolphin show to the aquarium.”

“The rooms were clean and comfortable. The overstuffed beds were extremely comfortable and luxurious. The 37 inch flat screen TV was also a nice touch. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions and baggage. To valet park was $30 a day, I would suggest using the garage around the corner for $15 a day. Also one must pay for internet access. Overall, excellent location, close to the waterfront, freeways, and Camden Yards. I was very pleased with the value, location, and service.”

- Staff was terrific.
- We were awakened very early by maintenance.
“The hotel is lovely. The staff goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy. The front desk clerks, could you a little more training in making you feel welcome. The location is great, and if you are looking for a quiet, luxurious hotel, this is it. We would go back again in a heartbeat.”

- Very comfortable and great amenities.
- Pool was closed and very disappointing for the kids.
“I loved this hotel. The rooms were beautiful and beds were very comfortable. Great for adults but not very kid friendly. Disappointed, I was not notified the pool was closed.”

- Parking is in a better location. TV in the bathroom helps me watch the baseball game while the kids use the TV in the room.
- Our room did not have a nice view of the harbor. Feel like we were isolated.
“Friendly and very helpful staff. We forgot to bring can opener for infant milk and the staff at the lobby did their best to help. The baby was fed on time. We were satisfied.”

- The beds with good quality sheets and comforter.
- There was nothing we did not like.
“We were very pleased with the hotel. Very clean, and maid service twice a day was nice. It was a nice touch to come back to the room in the evening after a lot of walking to find your bed turned down with a mint on the pillow. The only problem we had was the coffee maker did not work, but once we called the front desk, they brought another one that did work. Will stay here again.”

- Nickel and dimes, pay for internet, pay for cot.
“A 4 star hotel shouldn't charge for internet, or for a cot. Shouldn't have to call 4 times for the cot either.”

- The hotel is unreliable and reservations are useless at this hotel.
“Unfortunately I never stayed at this hotel even though I reserved it and had my credit card charged for the room. When I got to the hotel, they had given away my room and were booked up even though I notified them about a late arrival. They moved me to another hotel nearby (renaissance) at midnight. They did this to several other guests besides me. They told us that they do this a lot and it is not rare. I would not stay at this hotel again as they cannot confirm your room despite confirmed reservation. It is completely unfair why they can book their hotel fully and then select which guests will be moved to another hotel of their choice. Another guest was crying at being moved but the hotel didn't care or bother to refund our money. This is unacceptable as I am a business traveler and I should not have to be moved at midnight when I have an interview the next morning. Completely unreliable.”
