  • Renovation is practical and adds an aesthetic value that is unmatched elsewhere.
  • Bathroom unclean.

“Overall, our experience was pleasant. The renovations are superb. Our only complaint was that the bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly and our room was rather small.”

“Going from the parking garage to the hotel, I felt like I was in the gutter, elevator horrible, dirty. Outside was old, needed a face lift. Lobby nice but plain, staff very friendly. Hallway outside my room dirty, crap on the floor. Room ok. Definitely not 4 star.”

“The hotel location and cleanliness were great! The walls were rather thin and in the morning, you could hear everything out in the hall - it was like they were in your room. Location was great to Inner Harbor, but if you have a car $27/day for self park adds up.”

  • Comfortable and large room with good amenities.
  • Noise from above, below and next door rooms. Could hear every word of normal conversations.

“While twenty million may have been spent on renovating this hotel, they didn't seem to spend a single cent on its fatal flaw - noise. We could hear the guys downstairs watching porn, the kids upstairs playing, and every word the people in the next door room were saying - even when they were just talking at normal conversational levels. For this one reason we would never choose to stay here ever again - no matter how nice they made the rooms.”

  • The clerk Stacey was absolutely wonderful. She was very helpful, courteous and friendly.
  • Having to leave the building to walk down the driveway instead of going through the lobby to the garage.

“The staff was very friendly and nice. The room was beautiful and clean. The area is gorgeous and very close to the inner harbor, the stadiums and fine dining. I stayed for only one night but it was excellent.”

“The room was nice and comfortable, but we were awakened at 8:00 a.m. by people moving tables in the restaurant one flight up. It was like being beneath a bowling alley. Not exactly the way I wanted to be woken up on a rare weekend away from the kids. It was very disappointing.”

  • They charged me 4.77 for a can of coke and my room was musty.

“Parking was over priced at 27.00 per car for 2 cars. Everything in the room was overpriced, the room had a moldy scent to it. However the hotel was very attractive and the staff was very courteous. I took one Pepsi from the mini bar and got $4.77 charge added to my bill. It was only a can of Pepsi!”

  • The room was dirty. The window was not cleaned and housekeeping never came to clean it. The maintenance of the room on second day was horrible.

  • Beautiful/clean hotel in a wonderful/convenient area.
  • You could hear everyone in the hotel from the room. Loud hallway late night/early morning.

“The hotel was lovely. There was a line to check in, but that went quickly. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The walls were paper thin, however. We could hear everyone around us. There was lots of noise late into the night (the Yankees were in town), and early in the morning when everyone began checking out (6:30am).”

“While I understood that special requests like a King bed were not guaranteed, I did expect a room with a bed! What we got was a room that looked like a half renovated meeting room with a stained carpet and pull out sofa bed. I don't know if you've ever sleep on a sofa bed, but I'd sooner have slept on the floor, and I might have except the floor was dirty. The Hotel was able to re-book us at a different hotel about 5 city blocks away in a section of the city that was not nearly as nice as the Hyatt's harbor side location.”

  • The location was great for our needs. It was only a couple blocks from Camden Yards. Nice view of the Inner Harbor.
  • We did not feel that it was a 4 star hotel as we had to sleep on a sofa bed.

“When we arrived, they did not have a room with 2 beds. The concierge said that they had a room with a queen size bed. This was okay with us. When we got to the first room, it was already occupied and the door was bolted. I went to the lobby and they gave us a different room. This room didn't have a bed at all. It had a sofa bed that needed to be opened up. I didn't feel that this was what should be available in a 4 star hotel.”

  • Parking was way too expensive. We were on a lower level, so we heard a lot of street noise.

“Lovely hotel. Very close to many Inner Harbor attractions. Harbor view rooms have a great view, but the lower level rooms have a lot of street noise. We would stay at this hotel again if we could find cheaper parking. $27.00 a night is way too expensive for what you are paying per night.”

  • Only one chair in the room, they would not fix. Hall smells, bad fragrances. Parking out of sight.

“Staff are friendly but we really had to prod them to get us another room because we were near the bar dining area and the noise was terrible. We also requested a second chair for the room so we could enjoy aperitifs and a view, but they did not accommodate. Still, the location was great and overall quality was exceptional. The food in the hotel was overpriced and parking was abysmal. But, the accommodations were comfortable and modern. And people were extremely pleasant. If you enjoy Baltimore, this will not disappoint.”

  • Couldn't get on line. Should be free Internet service. Charged anyway. Room not cleaned well. Breakfast too expensive.

“Great hotel in a great location. For this price, though, Internet service should be free. I couldn't get connected and staff were not helpful. I gave up and waited until I got to the business meetings in another location. Two days without email in my room--not appropriate for a Hyatt! And then I was charged by the service, even though it did not connect!”

“I loved the hotel, very clean, nice staff. Beautiful. The only complaints would be 27.00 a night to park, which I feel should be included in price of hotel fee. And the hotel wants you to purchase everything at an outrageous price; the soda in the mini bar was 4.77 for a can? And the mini bar doesnt give you any room for your own items. No vending machines, so if your thirsty you have to purchase or wait to go to the 7 eleven. No DVD player in room so you have to purchase their movies. My husband says thats a rip off, but I guess for the up keep of that beautiful hotel you have to charge up!”

  • Rooms were smaller than average. Elevators were very uncomfortable. Absence of staff.

“We (my girlfriend and I) stayed at this hotel for the New Year. On check-in, the hotel clerk gave us a water view room. The room had an excellent view for the money. Hotel parking was very expensive (26/36 dollars) so I'd suggest looking for a private lot to park in during your stay. While the room description includes a fridge, the one supplied in the room is stocked with hotel goods complete with automatic sensors that bill you if you move the contents. Paying an additional 25.00 for your own fridge is extreme. The location is good, but a true four star hotel should be more accommodating to its guests. If you cannot find a boutique hotel, I would suggest staying here as an alternate.”

  • I liked the bathroom design.
  • Our bed was positioned so that when the guest in the next room used the bathroom, the flushing sound was as if the toilet was next to my head.

“The hotel was nice. The rooms are nicely decorated. The bed is very comfortable. However, the parking and the food was overpriced. They need to place the bathrooms away from adjoining walls. I did not like hearing the flushing noise near my head as I tried to sleep.”

  • The large, flat screen TV and luxury bath were excellent features. Great location as well.
  • The first room we checked into smelled very bad. The staff quickly gave us an alternate room that was very nice.

“The location of the Hyatt is perfect for visiting all the sites at the inner harbor, as well as shopping and dining. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the large, flat screen TV and the luxury bath in our room. We were unable to enjoy the Pisces Lounge because of a private party, but heard that the view of Downtown Baltimore is second to none. We would absolutely stay at the Hyatt again.”

  • The bed linens were beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The location was excellent for us.
  • There was some minor floor trash when we arrived. The room was a slight bit small.

“The service at this hotel was accommodating. The room was aesthetically pleasing yet a bit small. The views from our room and the hotel in general were great. The food was overpriced for the quality and presentation ($9 for a bowl of soup without even a small piece of bread or crackers). Despite any negatives, though, our family enjoyed our time at the hotel.”
