“This hotel was fairly convenient to the harbor the ballpark and other tourist areas of the city. It was clean and spacious and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant was being refurbished but they had a very adequate alternative and the food was good.”

• Huge and spacious room.
• Pool was too small.

“When I walked in the hotel with my family it was nice and what one would expect from a 3 star resort. What was eye-popping though, was how big the room was. We did not pay for anything other than a standard-2-double-bed room; but in our room was a kitchenette, a walk in coat room, and a very large living space (for a hotel room). Internet was free which was great because a lot of places charge now. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We went to Baltimore for some Red Sox games at Camden and the hotel was about 5-6 blocks north of the park and the harbor. There are hotels closer, but the quality of this hotel, coupled with everything else, makes it an excellent choice. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were immaculately cleaned. They have a pool but it is a little small, so more than 6 or 7 people is a crowd. They do have a sauna in the locker rooms which was very nice also. The deli down stairs in the lobby was fairly priced and the food was good. Overall experience 5 out of 5.”

• Big rooms and comfortable beds. Nice staff and shuttle service. Beautiful view of the city.
• The room was a little stuffy and the air wouldn't work.

• Convenient location, clean, comfortable, good value.

“We truly enjoyed this hotel and would absolutely stay here again. The service was great; when we needed anything at all, it was at the door within minutes. It was very convenient to the Inner Harbor. The beds were comfortable, and the room was larger than a typical hotel room.”

• Dirty, moldy, holes in carpet, rusty water.

“Tremont Plaza Hotel in Baltimore did not meet my modest expectations for a 3 star hotel. First the good, the room was very large and the location was good. Next the bad, run-down hotel, holes in the room's carpet, mold in the shower, water in sink was occasionally rusty and brown, food in the hotel's deli was spoiled. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.”

• Very spacious suites and
  bed was super comfy.
• Staff was rather stoic, not very open or helpful.

“Only stayed one night at the Tremont Plaza in Baltimore, but for the super price, it was well worth it. It was very spacious, clean and it had every convenience a traveler needs.”

• Huge rooms.
• Extremely small lobby.

“The rooms were fantastic; the staff was mixed in terms of friendliness, but nothing too bad. The lobby is extremely small, but the hotel is in a very nice location right near the harbor. I felt safe at the hotel and the room-service was above-average in terms of quality and speed of service.”

• Rooms were large. Bedding was fabulous!
• The location late at night was questionable.

“We were greeted at the street by a fabulous bellhop who did a wonderful job parking us and showing helping us with our bags. He gave us a brief history of this fabulous building. We were pleased with the size of the rooms and especially the bedding. All the employees were happy and helpful. We would recommend this hotel.”

• There was no hot water in my room.

“The hotel was clean, the hotel was very friendly and helpful. There were lots of amenities: fitness room with TVs on the cardio. The parking was overpriced.”

• The bed was comfortable.
• On a busy street, no parking on site, gave a room with one bed when 2 beds were requested.

“Hotel was close to the Inner Harbor which was nice. Parking was not on site. The refrigerator smelled when I opened it. There was only one coffee mug available. I had to request a room with 2 beds since I was with a family member and we planned on each sleeping in our own bed. There was no sofa in the room. They did provide us with another room but it was inconvenient for us to have to go to our room, come back down and wait for new keys, etc. If I requested 2 beds initially, and they accepted my request, then I should have been given a room with 2 beds from the start.”

• The gym was nice and room was accommodating.
• Stained carpet and phone trouble.

“It was a very decent hotel, and the beds were comfortable. The carpet and walls could have been cleaner, but the accommodations were suitable. It was about five blocks from the inner harbor which was convenient. Overall the establishment wasn't too bad. Not so sure it would be my first choice if I were to visit the area again, but it definitely wouldn't be my last.”

• Leaky faucet, front desk manager had the tendency to treat us like ignorant people.

“Older hotel, nicely maintained. I had to ask the front desk for a different room as soon as we checked in because the room was in the party wing. Front desk manager had the tendency to talk at us. This hotel is located in downtown Baltimore. The area is relatively safe during the day. Access to public ramp is controlled by your parking ticket. We stayed in other hotels in the Baltimore downtown and Inner harbor area before. We felt safer going in and out of this public partaking ramp.”

• It had a great exercise room and it had a kitchenette.
• I did not get clean towels every day.

“The Tremaon Plaza is centrally located and close to restaurants and major attractions. The staff was available when needed and the room was very spacious with the added boon of a kitchenette. I ate most of my breakfasts there which was a savings at current food prices. I would definitely stay there again. I particularly liked the exercise facilities which consisted of a weight room with stationary bikes, a floor exercise room, a lap pool and a sauna.”

• The staff was friendly.
• The star rating was definitely not a 3 star hotel! More like a 2 star all of the furniture was way out dated with no flat screen!

“The staff was friendly! But the hotel was more for like a one night stay, maybe for a business trip or some thing! They need to up grade their furniture, it was very outdated, I mean who doesn't have flat screen TV's these days! Oh yea, also the tub was stopped up!”

• Spacious room with nice kitchenette.
• Location did not provide the "vibe" generated by other hotels nearer the waterfront.

“Rooms were spacious. The sofa and wallpaper were a little tired and the water dripped in the old tub. It had the feel of a more commercial than tourist accommodating hotel. It just would have been nicer being closer to the harbor.”

“This hotel is putting down new carpet. The lobby and hotel were a disgusting smell of stale cigars but the room smell was okay. The hall carpeting was filthy.”

• Large room, price.
• Cleaning staff overused elevator, we stopped at almost every floor during business hours.

“Overall, nice hotel. Felt congested in the lobby but the room was huge. The elevators were kind of slow with the cleaning crew jumping on an off at each floor. It actually took us over 10 minutes to get to the 36th floor because we stopped constantly to exchange employees with vacuum cleaners.”

• The rooms were very spacious with beautiful, plush bedding.
• The shuttle was supposed to run to 10:00 PM, but stopped at 9:00 PM. We had to use a cab.

“Very big rooms that were clean. Three nice restaurants in the hotel and only five blocks from the Inner Harbor.”

• Room was clean, accommodating and roomy. Desk staff and bellmen are great.
• Could not communicate with waiter and housekeeping because of language barrier.

“Every thing was great until night before departure when items were removed from the room. It was reported to desk and housekeeping prior to departing to no avail. Days later we were contacted by the hotel manager and were reimbursed for our loss. All is in good standing with the hotel and we would recommend it to our friends.”

“The hotel is a little bit of a walk from the Inner Harbor, but very close to the cultural district. The hotel is located away from the noisy nightlife of down town, which we prefer. The layout of the suite was good. Our complaints are about the lack of hot water both days and no wake up call on our first day.”

• Downtown location, staff was excellent. Bar and restaurant (for breakfast) was great.
• The bathroom was small, old fixtures and could have been cleaner.

• Quiet location close to nearby Inner Harbor area.
• The bathroom needed a fresh coat of paint and there were some weird shelves that seemed out of place in the bathroom.

“The hotel is located a few blocks from the Inner Harbor which made it very convenient but also quiet. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. We did notice a major backup with the elevators in the afternoon around check in time. There were probably about 30 - 40 people waiting a good 5 - 10 minutes for elevators on Saturday afternoon after we returned from wandering about. Also, the decor in the room was lacking, but the bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a small kitchen in the room. Overall I would stay there again.”

“Was not accommodating, did not had the room I asked. When I notified the front desk, they said check back at 4:00 and they would move us. Did see 2 rooms that would work vacant from cleaning staff and front desk did not move us.”

“Nice hotel, large clean rooms. Be mindful that check-in is at 4:00 and the lobby area is small and the check in process is slow, they had a hard time accommodating groups checking in.”

• Room was spacious with great view of Baltimore. Staff was exceptional and our stay relaxing in the accommodation.
• A/C did not work consistently but was attended to when noted to front desk.

“Accommodations were right down the street from the venue we were attending for our trip. Room was spacious and staff attentive and helpful. We had a great view; food in the hotel was good and affordable.”

• Parking-only valet parking available for this location.

“Quality staff to greet guests and were able to share information regarding the area. Workout area and dining was top notch and it will be really nice when remodeling of fitness area is complete. Would come back again.”
