• Entrance to hotel from parking garage felt safe, and the hotel lobby and desk were beautiful. Staff was extra friendly helpful. Very clean.
• Restaurant expensive.

“Rooms are large and very clean. Lobby was spacious. Close to sports arenas, walking distance. Also, close to harbor, Science Center, Aquarium. Family friendly, yet sophisticated.”

• The bartender/waitress provided excellent service in the hotel bar lounge.
• We thought the bathrooms would be nicer.

“Overall, we liked the hotel. Easy access to the Inner harbor area. We liked the hotel room but felt the bathroom would be a bit more upscale. We didn't like parking since we were charged a lot for the garage since it was city owned. We did feel the hotel staff was very friendly and was able to help with any request. Room service was a delight.”

“From check-in to check-out staff was accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about hotel, vicinity and just about everything we wanted. Food was superior. A pleasure to stay at this hotel, even tho it was a bit expensive.”

“Pool was closed, though still listed on the website. Had to pay $24.00/day for parking. Otherwise, the location was fantastic, and the hotel was beautiful. Room was clean and comfortable, very helpful staff.”

• The bed was extremely comfortable.
• No fridge in the room.

“Hotel was great, the staff was nice and the bed was extremely comfortable! My fiancé and I stayed over the July 4th weekend and had a good time. The concierge was very helpful and nice to talk to. He was able to get us last minute tickets for a comedy show within the hour.”

“The hotel was nice and the location excellent. I did have an issue with the maid leaving my door open resulting in my laptop getting stole but I was told Marriott claims will take care of it. The staff was really courteous.”

• Convenient to tourist attractions.
• Staff could be more attentive.

“We had two rooms which were both comfortably furnished and clean with very nice beds and bathrooms. Unfortunately one room smelled heavily of cigarette/cigar smoke. The desk sent someone up to spray the room with freshener but it didn't help much. We didn't try the restaurant for breakfast because we were asked if we had made advanced reservations which we hadn't so they sent us to a place down the street. The only thing that I noticed different from this hotel and others in the same classification in Baltimore is that the staff were not as attentive. We had to wait for the Bellman who loaded our suitcases on the trolley and then disappeared. We ended up unloading them and handling them ourselves. Check-in went smoothly but was not friendly. More like being processed at the state DMV. Friendly hospitable service and attentiveness needs some improvement for this hotel to keep pace with its competition. We stay in Baltimore frequently and always enjoy ourselves.”

• The Bell staff and the restaurant staff was very nice and accommodating.
• The pool was shut down & the sports bar staff told us they had a channel that they did not actually have.

“It was a nice hotel. The restaurant had a decent breakfast buffet but was very overpriced- $16 for a continental breakfast plus eggs bacon and sausage. The pool was closed. It is considered an Inner Harbor hotel, but was about 10 blocks away- OK in nice weather, but not when it was 98 degrees.”

• The beds were very comfortable, checking in was a breeze.
• No ice vending on all floors, parking not included.

“Overall this was a very nice place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable and checking in was quick and easy. My chief complaints are the parking expense ($24) for the day! Also, wifi was not free, which many hotels have now.”

• Phone in room did not work, staff was not very helpful.

“They were very busy but I really expected better service at a Marriott. The restaurant was so full that I went to the room to order room service but my room phone did not work. So I called the hotel on my cell which confused them. All in all, it was a real turn off for me.”

“The check in staff was amazing. The room was well designed and comfortable and welcoming. We got food poisoning from a local restaurant and the staff was very helpful and understanding even providing ginger ale to help easy our suffering. Overall the hotel staff make this hotel a great place to stay when visiting Baltimore. We highly recommend this hotel.”

“We enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. Beautiful lobby which had a computer to print bording passes. The rooms were very clean and quiet. The beds were extremely comfortable. Nice, updated bathroom. Location was good...within a short walking distance (4 blocks) to the Inner Harbor. The negatives were that there was a fee to park, there was not a pool, and there was not a continental breakfast. All in all, enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.”

• The hot tub was broken, homeless around hotel.

“The hotel was fine for us, I did not like the vagrants loitering across the street. The hotel does not overlook Camden Yards. All we did was hub out of the hotel, we did not do alot of activities there.”

• It is very clean, nice and located convenient to the Harbor and light rail.

“The hotel is located in walking distance to light rail and right at the Inner Harbor. Lots of restaurants and shopping there. It is clean and the staff is very helpful.”

• Very clean and great bed.
• Very convenient but as a single woman, I did not feel safe walking outside the hotel at night.

“Excellent price for a very comfortable hotel but safety was a concern for me (outside the hotel, not inside) as I was travelling alone. Room service was fast and good. Excellent service.”

• Location and initial atmosphere.
• Unprofessionally, poor service.

“I will not recommend this place of business for the following reasons. Instead of trying to meet on common ground, the staff was very unprofessional and not accommodating at all. This was a preplanned event which was ruined due to lack of good service. I was surprised at the level of service I received from a Marriott Corporation. Marriott has scorched it's good name.”
