- Air conditioning and lights turned on before I got to the room.
- Using only sheet on bed, too cold. Using comforter, too hot. No other choices.
“This Marriott was completely acceptable in every way. Not too far from the Baltimore Harbor. The room was very welcoming when I opened the door - all the lights were on (CFL's) and the room was cool because AC was running. A hot room as it takes quite a while to cool down and stabilize the room temperature. We had no meals so no comment on any dining room.”

- The beds were amazing. I didn't want to get out of bed!
- I didn't like the $22 parking fee or the fact that they charged for internet use.

- Cabs were not easily accessible.

- Elevator wait time (it was a busy weekend for the hotel).

- The room was extremely nice/clean/comfortable and well-appointed.
- The breakfast buffet was only average in quality and service at best.
“Overall our stay was excellent. Great location to Camden Yards and Inner harbor attractions. Beautiful lobby and main common areas. Bedroom was well-appointed, clean, extremely comfortable bed/pillows. Bathrooms were nicely decorated and our room was very spacious. Front-desk, housekeeping and garage attendants were very friendly and helpful. A great value and worth the trip in itself. Worth returning to, as well.”

- None of the rooms have water views, but this is made up for by the posh bedding, etc in the room.
- The pool area was overrun by shrieking kids and the hot tub was far hotter than recommended.
“Overall, the Marriott Inner Harbor was an ok value. None of the rooms have water views, but the hotel more than compensates for this with their large rooms, plush bedding and other assorted amenities. On the weekend I stayed there, only 2 of 4 elevators were working, making the wait, especially in the evenings rather lengthy. I doubt this is a regular issue though. The pool and hot tub are on the lower level. The areas are small and echo badly, so steer clear if there are a couple children enjoying themselves. Parking is very expensive, running $22 per 24 hours. You could take your chances parking on the streets, but be careful which neighborhood you park in.”

“I was disappointed at the parking situation at this hotel. The sign in the parking garage indicated payment information ticket, but does not indicate that hotel guest need not to pay at the garage, but pay must directly upon registration at the entrance lobby. As it is, I lost US 5 dollars because I paid the parking which I didn't even push any button, but automatically deduct my credit card. The Marriot hotel did not reimburse me for it because the clerk at the lobby said the parking has nothing to do with them and I have to speak with the garage clerk. The garage clerk said she cannot reimburse me for the 5 dollar parking I paid to them because they have no policy for reimbursement for hotel guest which I don't need to pay. Since I am a hotel guest. In other words, I was bounced back, forth like a ball and no one wants to correct the error. The Marriott or the garage should have a sign that says hotel guest pay parking at the hotel lobby. Then it would have been clear and not mislead us about paying the parking fee.”

- Dirty, items taken, homeless vagrants.
“Our employee was there on business. She said that leftover food had spoiled in the refrigerator and took then 24 hours to clean out. Her bag, with gifts for her kids, was thrown into the trash by the cleaning lady, her cash was stolen, but her medicines were eventually found in the trash. Homeless men outside of the hotel followed her inside twice. While it sounds as if the staff was responsive, these types of problems should never happen. Period. A disgraceful.”

- The 'pushyness' of the bellhops.
“The accommodations were wonderful, and the food in the dining room was excellent. The coffee left a lot to be desired, in fact, our waiter said he got in from the 'gift shop', and this was for an evening meal. I am a coffee drinker, and it was more like mud. He did get some 'fresh' may be an hour old.”

- Had difficulty checking in. It took a very long time to find an open room and our two rooms were on opposite ends of the hotel.

- The room we were in was spacious and comfortable.
- The room requested was not available upon check-in.
“We had to move rooms three times before they were finally able to get us the room type that we wanted in a quiet area. The receptionist insured me, when I called that this would be taken care of to eliminate the chaos. Once in the room though, all went smoothly, it was a good stay and the hotel restaurant was good.”

- Convenient location, a block away from a Starbucks no less, in an area that is developing.
- The lobby was awkwardly spaced and oriented. Needs a seating area in middle of main space.
“Close to the stadium, close to the harbor, close to Lexington market, and close to the Hippodrome, this hotel is centrally located. In the shadow of a new Hilton, the Marriott will need to step up its game to remain competitive. The hulking new hotel blocks the view of the stadium. An example of bad development. Nice rooms, good gym, weird lobby.”

- The location, quility of bedding, room size, and staff.
- The room did not have a microwave oven, the parking garage was inconvieant to get to and expensive.
“The room was great the staff was friendly. It was difficult getting to and from my car from the parking garage. It was about a 7-10 minute trip from the room to my car. 2 elavators and the lobby walk. I did not like that the rooms did not have microwaves or refridgerators. I was traveling with my infant and had to request a mini fridge which arrived to my room dirty. I also had to be relocated in the middle of my stay due to a maintance issue which was extremly diffucult becaus I had to pack everything I bought for myself and baby at 9 pm in the evening only to have to unpack agian and repack for the trip home the next morning. This hotel is ok for buisness of a weekend get away but not totally family friendly.”

- Good price for Downtown and short walk to inner harbor.
- There was a stale, musty smell in the hallway and room.
“The hotel was in a good location and close to Camden Yards. There's not a lot across the street, but its only a few block walk to stores/food. It was also a reasonable walk (15min) to inner harbor. The staff was nice and hotel never too crowded and was easy to park and take the car in/out for a $19 fee/day. On the lobby level all the elevators first went down to the basement before going up to the rooms which seemed more than a coincidence since it happened each time. The only negative is that there was a stale, musty smell that permeated the hallway and room on the 8th floor. The A/C was on in the room, but as soon as we turned it down and cold air wasn't pumping the smell was much stronger. So we kept the A/C on and it was not bad. Overall this was a good price for the location and amenities.”

- Clean, Beautiful building that was recently remodeled. Very friendly staff.
- There were no smoking rooms and I smoke. Not a big deal but I was on the fifth floor and you had to go all the way to the main entrance to smoke.
“The Baltimore Inner Harbor Marriott is a fine Hotel and has excellent service. It is very clean and conveniently located. The staff is friendly and the front desk very helpful.”

“The hotel had a courteous staff and very clean rooms. The bed was very comfortable. There was a $22 per day parking fee that was not mentioned when I booked it. Also, there was no mention of the renovations taking place. We still enjoyed our stay overall.”

- Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds.
- The Hilton has pretty much blocked the view of Camden Yards.
“Enjoyed a quick but comfortable stay. Beds were fabulous! Newly redone rooms are beautiful. Staff and management were very pleasant and helpful except the Front desk clerk that handled our checkout, she was a little gruff. Tavern food was ok, nothing special. Location is great for all Inner Harbor activities, a bit of a walk to the Harbor, but worth it!”

- Lovely rooms.
- Man murdered his three children in room while we were there.
“Rooms noisy and no good soundproofing. Other than the murder of the three children while we were staying there, the hotel was clean, staff friendly, rooms lovely, and overall, a good experience, though perhaps not up to usual Marriott standards - front desk receptionist (forget her name but she was from the Netherlands) was REALLY unhelpful and very condescending. Not my typical Marriott experience. Otherwise, rest of staff very helpful as always.”

- Staff and room were excellent.
- No breakfast included, no free parking, no free internet.
“Lobby and rooms were excellent. Staff was very attentive and helpful. I cannot understand why a hotel that is in this price range does not offer free breakfast, has free internet and no free parking. At this price at least breakfast and internet should be included.”

- Conveniently located.
- Service was very slow, it was very noisy because they were renovating
“I think the hotel was fine and it was well located but when we had any requests we had to call at least three times. It was very noisy during the day because of the construction but we only had to deal with that one day.”
