“I am rating the Marriott Hotel in Baltimore which I stayed at on 8/21. I filled out a different rating on the Hyatt in Baltimore which I stayed at on 8/28. I give this hotel a much higher rating.”

• Location and initial atmosphere.
• Unprofessionally, poor service.

“I will not recommend this place of business for the following reasons. Instead of trying to meet on common ground, the staff was very unprofessional and not accommodating at all. This was a preplanned event which was ruined due to lack of good service. I was surprised at the level of service I received from a Marriott Corporation. Marriott has scorched it's good name.”

• Mandatory parking prices of $24.00.

“Hotel was comfortable, clean and centrally located. There is a very convenient parking lot attached but it costs $24.00 a day to park you car there. This charge is mandatory.”

• The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Upgraded to Jr. suite for free.

“Our experience at this hotel from the time we pulled into the driveway until the time we pulled out was excellent. The doorman/bellman was friendly and quick to help. The front desk manager checked us in and was friendly and quick to accommodate my request for an upgrade. Every member of the staff we had contact with had a smile on their face and were quick to help us in whatever way they could. We had an awesome stay and as a food and beverage manager in 4 and 5 star hotels for 10 years I would rate this as a four star hotel based on our experience.”

• Convenient to Inner Harbor attractions, clean and comfortable rooms.
• If budget hotels can offer free Wi-Fi access, why can't Marriott?

“We had an excellent stay at this Inner Harbor Marriott. It was adjacent to Camden Yards and a short walk to all of the Inner Harbor attractions. It was also an easy walk to Little Italy and Fell's Point. Check-in was fast, check-out even faster. Visiting sports teams apparently often stay here, and we saw several Minnesota Vikings players around the hotel while we were there, which was fun.”

• Hotel guest staying must pay parking. Should be included in stay.

• It was in walking distance of the harbor, great parking.
• Shower was way too small, cold tile in hall walk, cleaning lady knocked once and entered.

“Really nice outside, work I progress outside dinning area, was not aware of fridge in room till time to leave. Not happy with shower.”

• Clean, modern, classy.
• A little bit farther from the Inner Harbor than I was expecting.

“This is a classy, shiny clean, attractive hotel near the convention center, Camden Yards and new Sports Legends Museum. It is about a 10 minute walk (past a lot of homeless people) to Inner Harbor. I really appreciated the helpful staff, $3.95 children's breakfast buffet, and convenience store. The parking was convenient and safe, but cost $24.00 per day. Classy, quiet, safe hotel.”

“Pleasantly surprised, was in town for the Vikings/Ravens ball game. Stayed in the same hotel as the Vikings (my team) was walking distance to the stadium as well as the inner harbor, great cafe around the corner as well.”

• My room was very clean and spacious.
• People kept barging to our room without knocking and they offered no apologies just that they taught we have checked out in the middle of the night.

“I was not very safe sleeping at night in my room too bad cause the room was excellent. I just did not feel safe from the staff and this was suppose to be a romantic gate away for me and my boyfriend. He is an aero space engineer and has a very stressful job. It was not very relaxing in that room.”

• Have to pay for parking and the fire station is louse when the trucks have to go out on call about every hour.

“Make sure you get a room that faces the harbor otherwise you might be looking at the side of a building. A nice hotel though in a nice area of Baltimore.”

“Not a good experience. Thought I was checking out when I was staying another night. Person from front desk tried to enter room. Sheet had small spots on it. Keys did not work; I had to go down to lobby for new ones. On Demand movies did not work. Manager and concierge were very sorry and very helpful with mistakes. Manager gave us access to exclusive concierge lounge.”

• Concierge's direct help in changing our room due to the initial room having a strong odor of cigarettes.
• Group of older teens/early 20's seemingly unsupervised on the 2nd floor. Security spoke to them, but parents or chaperones should have been contacted.

“We were pleased with our stay here. We had 4 rooms, traveling with adult children and young grandchildren. We wanted all 4 rooms on the same floor but that was not possible. We checked in around 9:30 PM. and checked out around 10:00 PM.”

• Entry through the parking garage was a little cumbersome.

“Very nice motel. Spotless rooms, plenty of amenities, pleasant staff. Very convenient for families with young children. Close to the Interstate, but not adjacent to the Baltimore train station.”

“The staff was great but we were traveling with a trailer and there was no where to park it. The garage was not connected to the hotel and would not let use park there either. If it was not for the bellhop letting us park in the limo spaces we would have had to leave.”

“This hotel was very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was within walking distance to the inner harbor and Camden Yards. It was very close to the light rail system which can take you throughout the city for a small fee. Overall I would absolutely stay here again.”

• The hotel was very clean and the staff was wonderful.
• The parking cost was very expensive per day and changed the pool hours at the last minute.

“Besides the cost of the parking, my entire family loved the hotel. The location was perfect, easy to find, walking distance to the Baltimore Harbor area and all the attractions. Never had to take the car anywhere. The staff was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. We would all stay there again.”

“The hotel is located just a few blocks from the Convention Center where I was attending a coin show. Hotel was like new, had a new flat screen television and a large bathroom. I liked the hotel very much.”

“The Marriott in the inner harbor in Baltimore was absolutely beautiful. The service was uncanny. If I came back to the room and laid on the bed to rest then went out for dinner, the room was even tidied up while I ate. I felt like I was treated royally. As I said before, the only complaints were that there was an additional charge of 24 per night for parking, most hotels have free wireless internet and here it was 10 dollars per day, and a hamburger, which was delicious, was $15. Overall. I would stay here again. The service was remarkable.”

• The front desk staff was ok but didn't know how to assist me with an issue.

“This hotel was amazing. The rooms are amazing, the beds are comfortable, the location is great and it had a nice atmosphere. Parking at this hotel was a pain, but otherwise it was alright. It was also noisy due to the fact it was by the fire department.”

• Air conditioning and lights turned on before I got to the room.
• Using only sheet on bed, too cold. Using comforter, too hot. No other choices.

“This Marriott was completely acceptable in every way. Not too far from the Baltimore Harbor. The room was very welcoming when I opened the door - all the lights were on (CFL's) and the room was cool because AC was running. A hot room as it takes quite a while to cool down and stabilize the room temperature. We had no meals so no comment on any dining room.”

• Across street from "gentleman's" club. Didnt feel safe at night outside.

• Elevator wait time (it was a busy weekend for the hotel).

“Met my expectations of a 4 star hotel! Excellent beds, very comfortable! Nice LCD TV! Bathroom was also a good size! Lobby looks great and the concierge was very helpful!”

• The room was comfortable and newly re decorated.
• The elevators were really slow.

“The hotel was clean, comfortable and close to Camden Yard. It was about a 10 min walk to the inner harbor which was fine with my husband and who enjoyed the walking.”
