  • Great check in, room was immaculate and the staff made you feel welcome.
  • Some better signage needed to get you there.

  • Staff was friendly and the location was OK.
  • From what we saw on the website for this hotel we thought he bar area was going to be bigger.

“For our purpose to travel to DC it was great. We could have used more restaurants in the area. The staff was great but the bar area was pretty much the lobby. We were on our 25th wedding anniversary and thought the bar/dinning area was separate from the lobby.”

  • Room was very attractive.
  • Walls are thin.

“Conveniently located near BWI, the hotel is unique in offering ala carte items right next to the front desk. While the cookies were tasty, it would have been nice if the hotel had the beer and wine. Since you're near the airport, trying to find a store for these items is next to impossible. The big-screen TV too was great, but when it came to lights out, the thin walls made sleeping difficult.”

  • Rooms were cozy; modern decor.
  • Inconvenience location; hard to locate; needs more signs that are highly visible to point out directions to hotel.

“Upon arrival my stay at the hotel was not so good; the fire alarm at the hotel had gone off which was mistakenly set off by an employee; (noise was extremely loud and boisterous!) and this slowed down me being checked into the hotel. (Approximately 30 minutes) After being checked in I was impressed with the room itself with the exception of the bathroom which was very small. My stay at the hotel, overall, was good as we were referred to restaurant that served fantastic crab cakes!”

  • The free breakfast buffet was great and the room was beautiful!
  • I did not like that the hours for the pool were so limited. We did not find out about the option to go across the street until our last day.

“This hotel was beautiful. They were of average size. I loved the fold out bed in the room and the kitchenette. The bathroom needed a little updated, but nice all together. The staff at this hotel was amazing, they went out of their way to make us comfortable and even mailed us a lost teddy bear, at no charge to us, that was left in our room. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious! You will enjoy your stay.”

  • I really enjoyed the amenities set in place. The design of the room was more than I expected.
  • The breakfast turned out to be a big disappointment. The food and seating space were at a minimum.

“Overall, what was intended to be just a weekend getaway for me and my family, ended up feeling like a vacation at a resort. Although we had an agenda to follow with visiting different places in Baltimore, I would have preferred to have had spent my time in the room enjoying the amenities. Thank you Hyatt for a pleasurable experience in Baltimore!”

  • Fabulous room, well appointed, comfortable and more.
  • A little hard to find. Better signage needed. Receptionist not at desk when I entered.

“For price, I wasn't expecting much. But this hotel blew my expectations out of the water. Amazing, comfortable, very well appointed room similar to those I have had in 4- and 5-star hotels. Quiet, clean, and definitely someplace to which I will return.”

  • We liked the cleanliness, friendly staff, and room set up. It slept our family of five comfortably.
  • The pool was only open for limited hours, so we were not able to use it, which was very disappointing.

“We liked the friendliness of the staff, and the room was set up perfectly for our family of five to sleep comfortably. The continental breakfast had plenty of healthy choices (lots of fruit!). We wish the pool was open for more hours. It was not open during the time we were there, and the pool was a major factor in choosing this hotel.”

  • AC didn't work well, tiny pool.

“You can walk to a movie theater and a restaurant from this hotel, and there are other restaurants nearby. Hotel has a shuttle to/from the airport and other locations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Baltimore.”

  • Location was close to our destination location.
  • Horrible set up, poor staff knowledge of area, poor amenities.

“This hotel was the worst possible. There were ants in the bathroom (which had no sink in it, it was part of the main room) and our sheets and towels in the room were dirty when we arrived. Spots were on the towels and also on pillow cases. We had two children with us and they didn't even adjust the necessary towels and blankets to accommodate, we had to continually ask for them (and then they weren't even washed that we had to stop back to get more after 10 at night). We couldn't even get our own ice. And the breakfast they served was the cheapest that could be served so they could charge for the good meals that most people would want to eat. And the pool had too limited of hours. A very horrible stay.”

  • Being awakened at 5 a.m. by a leak from the floor above.

“The hotel is conveniently located close to BWI. The staff was very attentive and helpful. When I was awakened at 5 a.m. by a leak from the floor above, the staff quickly moved me to another room. Unfortunately, it seemed that the room I was moved to had only been cleaned half-way. The bed was made, but there were not the correct number of towels and the toilet paper had not been folded, as it normally was for a new room. I called the front desk and asked for yet another room. Without hesitation I was moved. In spite of that little "misadventure," I really liked the hotel and would stay there again.”

  • Food was a bit expensive. $10 for ham sandwich.

“No issues getting my room, which was a nice suite. Bed was ok, about a 7 on a scale of 10, water pressure in shower was good, shuttle service to/from airport and train stations was excellent. My only complaint was that the food for purchase was very expensive for what you got (Ham Sandwich with chips $10). Free continental breakfast was a plus with nice variety of choices - bagels, yogurt, fruit, coffee.”

“I was going to tour Baltimore and Annapolis with my girl friend. The location is good, 15 minutes to inner harbor of Baltimore and 25 minutes to Annapolis. I stayed for two nights, it's a very quiet place. The room had a very large HDTV, 41" maybe. You can bring your Xbox or Wi-Fi if you like.”

  • New A/V equip that was good quality. Bed and bedding was very good.
  • Obviously remodeled recently, but little done to shower & W/C portion, and workmanship in this part was marginal.

“Would not be happy if I again got this hotel as a 3-star in the area. Other 3-stars are better. Hyatt is normally a high quality hotel, and I was perhaps expecting too much because I was quite disappointed. This was previously a typical 5-story cookie cutter hotel, and it appears Hyatt purchased recently and remodeled, but it still shows it lower quality roots. Check staff was poor. Stood in front of check-in counter for close to 5-minutes while the attendant accepted four different phone calls before she bothered to simply acknowledge my presence.”

  • One of the better hotels in the area for a reasonable price. Great location!
  • Noisy at times!

“Overall, happy with the hotel for the price. Breakfast was included, but was unable to take advantage due to it not being served until after 6 a.m. Many other airport hotels understand many customers leave prior to that time and have therefore either a sack lunch or are open earlier. Would be nice to have been able to take advantage of their breakfast, but due to my having to leave before 6 a.m. each morning, had to miss it!”

  • Great room. Very nice business work area and sofa/lounge area and great TV.
  • Breakfast in morning does not start early enough - 6:30 am too late for some business travelers.

“BWI Hyatt Place a great, convenient hotel for both business and leisure travelers. I really liked the 42-inch HDTV that you could swivel to watch on the sofa or in bed. Ruby Tuesday's right next door also. Good free breakfast in the morning as well. Very nice hotel at a good value.”

  • The front desk girls and the one front desk guy.
  • Please enlarge the trash can in front of the breakfast room. It gets full very fast and the trash spills out all over the floor at breakfast.

“The staff (extremely overworked) at this hotel are amazing. The only beef I have here is that I think their new computer system is slow and inefficient. I waited 20 minutes to buy something to eat because of the front desk computer. Back to the staff. Everyone from housekeeping, maintenance to front desk couldn't be more professional. It seems everyone is cross-trained here so you may see someone from downstairs in the lobbies sweeping or upstairs working in housekeeping. Can't say enough about them all. Management needs to give them all a big fat raise if they haven't already.”

“This hotel is a new Hyatt Place hotel that used to be an Amerisuites hotel. Hyatt has "cosmetically" re-done the hotel (lobby, fitness center, LCD TVs in the rooms, etc.) but should have done a better job with the remodeling.”

  • I was put in a room that was behind the billboard. This made a lot of noise, however, I kept my TV on most of the time and I took a sleeping pill at night.

  • Staff was accommodating and friendly. Room renovation was modern and appealing. Big screen TV & good coffee 24 hours nice touch.
  • Didn't like housekeeping cart staying in the hallways, their food options were not available yet but their website said they were-nothing to eat!

“The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating, the rooms are modern and the addition of the 42" flat screen & quality bath products is nice touch. I enjoyed having a huge beautiful sofa to lounge on & having a frig w/out requesting one. They had good Starbuck's coffee 24 hours a day in the lobby. Currently, they are still remodeling so there was a lot of chaos in the lobby & they don't yet have food or room service (which I wish I was told ahead of time since the website says otherwise). Two restaurants within walking distance however. I liked having a more modern room instead of the traditional like every other hotel has. The walls seem a little thin at times but not enough to prevent me from sleeping.”
