“Staff cold and unfriendly. Did not make me feel welcome at all, particularly the front desk supervisor, David, upon checking in. I have stayed at the Marriott courtyard down the street in the past, and the staff there goes out of their way to be helpful. I can not say the same for this "3 star" full service Marriott that we stayed in this time. The price was good for this place, but Im sure we only got it because the hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. The room was nice enough, and the bed was comfortable, which I guess makes up for the unfriendly staff. Passed one Marriott employee in the hallway that did not say hello or ask how my stay is.”

“Great bedding (I did not make it to the gym in the morning because I was too comfortable in the bed.) The desk staff is wonderful. I cut my hand. They got me the supplies (including a trash can for the y mess) and were very kind.”

• The room service order was wrong and the movie system went out mid film.

“The hotel is well staffed and in general very nice. The room service was inefficient, although friendly. We ordered two items; both were delivered incorrectly. One we did not bother to change. The air conditioner in our room did not function well and the move system broke down when we had watched about an hour of a film. So, overall, we like the hotel, but there were too many unfortunate coincidences. The front desk staff is very nice.”

• The second floor view, especially from the elevator.

“The hotel was fantastic for a 3 star hotel had more of a 4 star feeling to it. The rooms were updated and roomy. My family and I had a terrific time.”

• Location of dining room in lobby area was noisy and overlooked pool. Pool was not private.

“The BWI Marriott is great for travelers since it is located close to the airport. The Marriott is a large hotel, slanted toward business travelers. It was impeccably clean and had a huge attractive lobby with a dining room & bar in the lobby, and a large separately located sports bar which was accessible through the lobby. The only downside was that it was not located very close to restaurants other than McDonald's.”

• The Asian Girl A The Front Desk! Although tiny but tall she demanded that she help with my 70lb. luggage. She prints info. For me, Superb!
• The shuttle is for airport transport Only. Pizza cannot be delivered to room for security.

“As I said above, the Asian girl at the front desk makes this hotel. She is very professional and caring. Takes of every detail. The maids are excellent too!”

“This is exactly what you would expect from an airport Marriott - good location, clean but smallish rooms, and nice facilities. We had the breakfast buffet one morning and the food was above average but not something to get excited about. I can't believe that the full-service Marriott still doesn't offer free internet access but their economy brands do; it is actually a sore point for me.”

“This is the nicest hotel we have stayed at for quite some time. We are frequent travelers, in the past six months we have been to Puerto Rico, St. Louis, Chicago, DC and Cleveland. No other hotel has come close to the overall comfort of this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to answer all questions to help us get into dc the next day via public transportation. I cannot praise this hotel enough. (And I am very difficult to please!).”

• Toilet was stopped up; TV remote and coffee pot didn't work; ice machine didn't work on my floor.

“The staff addressed my problems, somewhat. The toilet, which was stopped up when we arrived, was fixed. I was burned by overflowing water from the coffee pot. We were compensated with two free breakfasts, but it was not replaced. The ice machine was fixed the first night but was broken again the second. I didn't call them for the ice machine the 2nd night [I went to another floor - both nights] or the remote. I felt that I had complained enough. I did tell the clerk at the front desk about all of the problems when I checked out. I have used this hotel before and had no problems. I was disappointed.”

“Hotel staff professional, clean, nice hotel. Checked in late (midnight) and hotel was full so were put in the middle section of a suite with 1 full size or queen Murphy bed and the 2 kids got a pull out couch that was not made up. We were too tired to try to wrangle up housekeeping so split the comforter and sheets between the two and slept for the night. Glad it was a one night stay.”

• I liked everything about the hotel, #1 would be the customer service.
• Charge for internet and no free breakfast option.

“I stepped out of the airport and into a (free) hotel shuttle. Once I arrived to my room I was delighted with it. I immediately wanted to shower and dive into the plush comforter. Once that was done I ordered up room service (crab cakes and beer) and found it was exquisite. Next it was to the bar for a nightcap, it was an inviting sports bar. I had no room for food so I can't comment there. The next day I discovered I needed deodorant and to mail a package before I left the country. No problem, they have a store inside the hotel, and FedEx service. The deodorant allowed me make friends during the flight and the package had reached its destination by the time I touched down overseas. Now for the downside. There is pretty much no free food at this hotel. Knowing this, I didn't touch the phone. I already felt nickeled and dimmed to death! Overall this place is probably great for the executive/business traveler. For a leisure traveler, it's a great splurge, the free airport shuttle outshines some of my complaint in truth. In the end I was impressed overall and would recommend to friends.”

• Spacious room with a comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful staff.
• Restaurant tables appear to be "out in the open" instead of cozy, tucked away for romantic evenings.

“Very pleasant stay. Excellent, spacious room with a large bathroom. Hotel staff seemed to take care of all the small details to make the stay enjoyable (i.e. the thick, heavy comforter on the bed made sleeping in late very warm and cozy). Airport shuttle was comfortable and convenient, with little waiting time on either end of the trip. The restaurant served a tasty dinner at a reasonable price; service was very good.”

• Courtesy van took a longer to pick me up, and the first van back to airport next day was too full to take me.
