“Room was clean but not a 3 star in my opinion. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They also fulfilled my no smoking room request without an issue. Hotel is 5 minutes from BWI airport and offers free shuttle service. Overall a pleasant, trouble-free, experience.”

  • Friendly staff, comfortable bed, spacious room, good food, shuttle service.
  • Maid did not clean thoroughly, bathroom plumbing, not convenient to local activities/shopping.

“Overall pleasant experience, reception staff and shuttle drivers were very helpful and the restaurant had delicious food at fairly reasonable prices. Attractive decor and grounds. Room was spacious and bed was quite comfortable. Main complaint was the bathroom, sink faucet the water barely trickled out and it was hard to control the temperature of it which led to having to brush teeth with hot water at times. The tub did not drain properly meaning standing in water while showering and the drain had little chunks that kept coming off when I tried to take a bath. The location of the hotel is convenient to the airport, but being from out of state I did not realize that it was not convenient to any local shopping, restaurants, or activities, there is absolutely nothing in the area but hotels and no busses are available to take you around either, so being there without a car was a bit inconvenient.”

“This was one of the nastiest places I have stayed in for a long while. I didn't care for anything at this hotel. The room was very dated and dirty, the staff didn't care that I had to wait 1 hour for my room upon arrival (3 pm).”

  • The room carpet was stained and worn and appeared very unclean.

“Very good value. Nice overall. Would stay here again and plan to do so in the near future when we will be returning to the area. Also have recommended this hotel to family for their stay.”

  • Very, very affordable for the quality level of the hotel.
  • Food quality could be better.

“A great in BWI airport hotel. Location is great (right by the airport, with shuttle service and also close and convenient to Baltimore attractions (Inner Harbor, ballparks, etc.). It is a quality hotel, especially considering the very affordable price. Staff is friendly and helpful. I stay here very often (about 10-15 nights a year when I come to Baltimore to see the Orioles play home games). Good job Holiday Inn BWI.”

  • There was nothing to like, its an old establishment that needs to be renovated.
  • Twenty words is not enough.

“Its a hotel out of the late 70's early 80's, the room was horrendous, maybe it was my room that was horrendous. For the price and the three star rating I expected much better, as I experienced in the Dulles, VA area.”

“This hotel was old and therefore the walls were too thin and the neighbors TV kept up awake as did the music in the lounge on Friday and Saturday nights which was on the first floor in the lounge and our suite was on the third floor. Other than that it was very nice.”

  • Friendly staff, check in was very smooth, we had an early check and there was no problem at all. They have a pool and very convenient location.
  • Just a little old and need to be renovated in the lobby and change the carpets in the room.

“The hotel is in a good location very close to the harbor. The staff is extra friendly which makes the stay very smooth. I would recommend this hotel to others if you are looking for something with in a certain price. The hotel have a pool which in nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the area was very quite.”

“We called ahead ask for a king room told we would get it. Weren't talked to or anything got to the room, it wasn't done or cleaned and it was two full bed. It took us 1 hour of our vacation to get them to under stand to just change our rooms. They then told us that no one at there hotel would have told us we could have a king room.”

  • Price was great, free wireless internet and 3 computers for use.
  • Couldn't check in until 3 pm. Got there at 2:30 and had to wait.

“Older hotel, but it was clean. Loved the free business center where I could access the internet. Check in was at 3 PM, we got there at 2:30 and couldn't check in until 2:50. Said they didn't have any rooms, but I think it was an arbitrary time limit. Good for the price, would stay there again.”

  • One on one, the staff was polite.
  • Commode didn't work, furniture was damaged, room service never arrived, room dirty, found roach, restaurant wanted to bring check before food served.

“Hotel is conveniently located and staff is pleasant. Everything else was awful. First, there was the room: the commode didn't flush without holding down the handle, the toilet bowl was stained, the desk chair arms were shredded, the remote and the $3 bottle of water were missing, the room was dusty, the shear curtain had blue marker on it. Second, the response to problems: there was a sign that said if there was any reason not to recommend the hotel 100% to call 1234, which I did at least twice and did not receive any response. Third, the hotel food service: we ate at the hotel restaurant and the server, who was polite but obviously new, wanted to be paid before serving any food, then served the main dish but not the soup or bread that came with it. We ordered room service the next day via the hotel internet, but the food never arrived, the room service phone number was not answered and when I spotted a cockroach on the lampshade at the desk where I was working I decided it was time to check out. When we checked out, the staff was apologetic, but apparently the internet food service program had not been working for 2 months. A manager appeared briefly, explained he was new to the property and didn't know that the internet room service wasn't working. My response was as a manager, shouldn't you have spent a day trying all the services at the hotel as a guest to know what works?”

  • Airport pick up was a bit confusing. There was no information about the shuttles at the airport.

  • Room size - handicapped room.
  • Poor security. Side doors unlocked.

“The carpet in my room needed cleaning, I would not walk on it barefoot - though a maid in the hall mentioned that section of the hotel was undergoing renovation soon. Security! I found multiple side doors from fire exits open to the outside. You can enter the hotel, at anytime of night, unseen and without using your card key. A little unsettling. Doors to empty conference rooms were left open and dark. Many places for evil people to do bad things. You can enter from a rear parking lot, go into a fire stair and end up on the guest floor without ever being seen. Beyond this, it was a pleasant experience and I had no problems.”

  • The tub/shower handle fell off. I only stayed one night so I didn't call for repair.

  • The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. It's nice that there is a restaurant and bar on the premises since there is not much around.
  • There was a large, loud group there in one of the party rooms.

“This hotel is one of the better hotels in the area. It's too bad there is no free breakfast included as it is at the Residence Inn, Springhill Suites or most other 2 1/2 star hotels in the area.”

  • The staff was very friendly and helpful; free morning coffee/tea was a nice touch.
  • The hallways and public areas are rather depressing, elevators barely functional, noisy AC unit.

“This hotel was better than I expected, but still not what I would term a 3 star property. It does not compare with other 3 star hotels in this zone because it is old and in need of major renovation. The rooms themselves are ok, reasonably comfortable bed and clean, but the faucet in my bathroom was about to fall off. All in all, it was not as bad as I feared and was certainly tolerable, but I would not hope to win it again. This should be a 2 star property.”

  • Ants on my bed and night stand. Dirty. Carpet taped at check in counter. Dirty.

“Would not recommend this hotel. The people were nice enough when I needed to switch rooms because ants were crawling on the bed and night stand. No way this room was cleaned thoroughly. The room they sent me had dirty carpet. Debris not vacuumed. Slow help inside. Location is on industrial road, away from other hotels and restaurants. This is not a 3 star hotel. I would not recommend this Holiday Inn.”

  • Many things were broken - telephone, light, TV - mildew smell in bathroom.

“I was very disappointed with this hotel & I would not rate this 3 star hotel. Although the bedding was nice and new and the room was clean, the rest of the room was shabby. We had a broken telephone, desk lamp, and the TV didn't work initially. There was also an odd mildew smell in the bathroom that could be smelled in the room. The hallways were dirty & did not look like they were vacuumed during our stay. I would not choose to stay here again.”

  • Poor front desk service. Exterior did not keep well. Stains on chairs in room. Disgusting.

“I would never stay at this hotel again. Nor would I ever recommend to anyone. Having a dog show at this hotel and not keeping a group of rooms available to non-dog-show guests is terrible. All I heard all afternoon and night is dogs barking! I am going to send a letter to Holiday Inn corporate headquarters to complain.”

  • The price was the only positive.
  • Dirty hotel with lousy service.

“This hotel ranked in the top 5 worst hotels I have ever stayed. The rooms and common areas were dirty. The bathrooms smelled of mildew. The air conditioner was broken when we checked in. We were basically told "too bad" by the front desk. The air was finally fixed around 10:30 p.m. There was no remote for the television. The elevator worked (sometimes). The cleaning staff blasted music from the rooms in which they were cleaning and stacked all the dirty towels and linens in the hall. This place was nowhere close to being a 3 star hotel.”

  • Elegance. Knew my preferences. Got room of my choice.
  • Breakfast prices a little higher than I am used to.

  • The location was great, you can take a train right into the city.
  • They made me and my husband sleep in 2 different beds.

“This was just a quick stay for us as we were only there for a few hours before we caught our flight. The hotel staff was not willing to work with us with our room arrangements. There were quite a few spiders in the bathroom and the hotel had a smoky smell from having some smoking rooms.”
