• The staff was excellent! Good breakfast.
• The room was very dated. Especially the furniture, fixtures, and bathroom.

• Good location, good breakfast.
• Beds were very uncomfortable.

“We didn't have any complaints with the hotel except that they may want to update their beds - the mattresses were very uncomfortable and we all woke up with sore backs both days. The breakfast was good and the room was clean and accommodated us just fine. Convenient location and friendly staff.”

• It was located close to a lot of stores, and very close to the Williamsburg Plantation Reception Center that we had to be at the next day.
• It was very dirty.

“I did not like this hotel because it was dirty. I had to actually go to the store to buy cleaning supply to clean the bathroom, and the comforter was dirty. When I called room service, I was told that they could bring me another comforter the next day. Question, what were we suppose to sleep with that night if we had to wait for until the next day for a clean comforter?”

“It is a well-maintained older hotel. Our only complaint was that the room did not receive good attention during our stay. We would certainly return there and recommend it to others.”

• The location to the theme/amusement parks.
• The room was dirty, had broken faucet, no cold water, bugs in the room and smokers next door to non smoking rooms.

“The only positive remark about the hotel I can make is that it was close to attractions. The room was not clean at all. There were hairs all over the bathroom floor along with "smears" on the baseboards which could have been cleaned up if the time had been taken by the cleaning staff. There were large bugs crawling that we needed to take care of. The faucet was broken and moved in all directions and there was no cold water for drinking or taking medicine if needed. Did not feel the safest when arriving at 11:00 p.m. at night when three adults sitting on the curb where our room was all scattered in various directions and acted very suspicious. Non-smoking rooms are right next door to smoking rooms, so you smell smoke. The complimentary breakfast was over at 9:30 a.m., so after a long day at the park the day before, our family of five was not able to get to eat in time before it closed. Don't sleep in if you want to get food. Overall, we would never stay here again and we would never recommend this motel/travel lodge to any family or friends.”

• Rooms were not what I expected from La Quinta inn.

“I would not recommend this hotel. Rooms were dirty and in need of repairs. Maid service was very poor. Will try another facility next time.”

• The hotel is run down, and can't deal with the crowds.

“This place is a dump. They start by informing you that you have to pay a $1.50 a night surcharge for the use of the safe in your room -- even if you're not using the safe. Rooms are poorly maintained and not well serviced -- missing soap, coffee. Vending machines are sold out. The worst, though, is the complimentary breakfast which is so crowded that people are pushing into each other to get at a very bad selection of foods. Stay away. ”

• Convenient to tourist areas - nice facility - clean rooms.
• No lighting in parking lot. Shares property with timeshare sales office.

“We found the room to be up to date. Everything was clean and fresh. No problems at check-in. The pool was small, but nice. The staff very helpful. The beds were comfortable, the a/c worked well. Two complaints - a timeshare office occupies part of the property and made parking on that side of the building impossible (as well, there were many people!!) The other issue would be that there is NO lighting on the backside of the property (closest to Kmart).”

“Clean, good condition. Empty in mid May before the tourist season. Nice lounge area; better than average continental breakfast. No computer for public Internet access. Staff able to give directions accurately. Terrible decorative art.”

“Hotel was adequate for our needs. We just needed a place to lay our heads after a long day so we did not spend a whole lot of time in the room. It was clean enough but I'm not sure I would label it a two-star hotel, however.”

• The shower curtain did not have a liner. It was like taking a shower in a wet sheet.

• The location was great.
• It was not very clean and the beds were hard.

“After the desk clerk sent me about 15 miles in the wrong direction, we finally arrived at the hotel. The area of town was great but the outside of our hotel was a little run down. The air conditioning unit smelled musky, moldy and the beds were so hard I felt as though I could have had a better nights stay in my car.”

“Location is good. Staffs are kind. Room is comfortable. But room needs to be cleaner. I found bugs creeping on the wall. In addition, it would be better if such basic facilities as refrigerator or microwave are equipped.”

• They had a very nice continental Breakfast included in the price.
• It was an older hotel, but was nice when we got in.

“It was a little further off the route of general shopping and site seeing as it turned out it led to a very quiet peaceful night of sleep not being on the strip. The room was a good size and the staff very nice. It was located around some really nice restaurant and like we stated earlier, the continental breakfast was more like a buffet. It was good for the price.”

• Everything. A dump and should not rate 2 stars.

“It was NOT what I would consider a 2 star accommodation. In fact it is debatable as a 1 star. I have stayed in Super 8 and Red Roof Inns that were far nicer than this La Quinta. It was old and run down, the bed was worn out and lumpy, and the room was border line clean. I would suggest you remove this motel from your 2 star rating in the Williamsburg area.”

• The FREE breakfast is just awesome and the pool is really kept up nice!
• I can't think of anything negative to say!

“Our stay was very comfortable. The staff was extremely nice and were willing to help in anyway! The free continental breakfast was just awesome and varied a little each day ~ hot waffles, bagels, cereals, fruits, yogurt, donuts, pastries...they even had corn dogs one day. The rooms are really clean and very roomy - our family of 4 was very comfortable. The location was great - right next door to a fun mini golf place, across the street from Hooters restaurant that has awesome food, right infront of Big K-Mart in case you forget something and right around the corner from Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg and Water Country USA. The pool is very pretty and it is well kept! We had a very enjoyable stay!”

“This motel definitely met our needs-clean, smoke free, quiet, and the room was large. The continental breakfast was a nice touch, and all the staff seemed friendly. Check-in time, 90 seconds, check-out time, 15 seconds (maybe even less).”

• The check in staff was very friendly.
• Crowded up with kids running down the hall. Crowded breakfast area.

“Could have probably got a better price by showing up in person. Nice staff, but rooms just ordinary. Mattresses were flat, bathroom was very spartan. Probably would not stay here again.”
