“Hotel is old and dirty. Restaurant is closed because they weren't generating any revenue from it. Bathroom had mildew in it, as well as dirt and large amounts of hair on the floor. Room lighting was completely inadequate. TV made horrible buzzing sound.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Glenn from Clifton Park, NY
“When visiting York, PA again will be looking to stay at this motel.” Jan 5, 2008 by
Lisa from Edgewood, MD
“The staff was great, very friendly and eager to help. My biggest and probably only complaint is that I booked 2 rooms and the rooms were next to each other. My room had an adjoining room; however it was not adjoined to the other room I rented. It would have been nice to have the adjoining room be with the other couple that accompanied us on our mini-vacation. Besides that and the bathroom could have been cleaner, the hotel was great.” Jan 3, 2008 by
Darrick from Carlisle, PA
“This hotel had decent no-frills rooms. They are a little dated and more of the level of an economy room. I don't think the rooms are worth their standard price, but was good for what I paid for it. The staff was very accommodating, I didn't check in until 5 AM and they gave me a late check out (3PM) without any problems.” Jan 1, 2008 by
Beth from Arnold, MD
“I have never been to a Holiday Inn that looked like it was a motel. I enjoy the enclosed hotels. I think they were going through renovations, and this is why they did not offer the continental breakfast. I also don't understand why it was such poor quality. The Sheraton in right across the road, you would think they would want to be their competition and up their standards. The only thing they have going for them is the location. The room and service was just average. I have stayed in better Holiday Inns before and did not see the Holiday Inn quality in this hotel.” Dec 30, 2007 by
Rene from Vestal, NY
“We went to this hotel twice. The first night we had lots of hair in the bathtub and we were unable to get a cot and we had 5 people. The second night we had a cot but there were crunched up potato chips on the floor and the bathroom was dirty and dated. The place is very outdated and the house keeping is not the best.” Dec 26, 2007 by
Mary from Coal Center, PA
“We stayed for 2 days. The room was clean. There were plumbing problems. Plumber was found quickly and temporary repairs made that were enough to see us through our stay. Continental breakfast was not complimentary. Restaurant was clean and food was good.” Dec 9, 2007 by
Dan from Cincinnati, OH
“Not impressed. We will not stay here again. For ten more dollars we could have a stayed at a nicer place with free continental breakfast. No frills at this place what so ever. The heater was loud and cold, room was outdated and the shower was stopped up, etc.” Nov 28, 2007 by
Gary from Woodridge, NJ
“Would rather stay at a Motel 6 or Super 8, at least you know what you are getting. This hotel is just waiting to be razed & be replaced by something else. Not a winner!” Nov 26, 2007 by
Ruth from Butler, PA
“Plain and no frills but suits your basic needs and the price was right but wouldn't want to pay much more.” Nov 16, 2007 by
Glenn from Lawrenceville, NJ
“Typical older holiday inn. The rooms open directly to the outside and the bathroom counters are low. The heating has been recently updated. There are few amenities the pool (outdoor) is so filthy I wouldn't consider going in even in warmer weather. The breakfast buffet choices were very limited and the bananas were old. Very nice $40 room for $70.” Nov 16, 2007 by
Gary from Nashua, NH
“Good location right off the ring road. Low end of holiday inn range. Motel style (outside entrances). Some aspects of outside poorly maintained, though mostly ok. Room ok but nothing special. Good continental breakfast but it is extra charge ($4.95). I believe full breakfast also available.” Nov 14, 2007 by
Judy from Somers Point, NJ
“The room was located w/the door on the outside. A large truck was left running all night outside our door despite our having notified the desk who stated they would notify the truck driver as he was parked in the wrong spot. The truck did not move and remained on all night. I was unable to sleep. The next night we requested a rollaway bed, at first we were told no problem, then they called back and stated they did not have any more since Thursday (this was Friday). I requested some sheets and a pillow. These were brought to our room, when opened; a large live bug was amongst them. Other bugs were found but not in our sheets. The faucet leaked in all directions, hot, or cold. The gentleman offered us a "free movie" for our inconvenience, which was kind and we rented Shrek- 3. The next day when I went to check out, they attempted to charge us approximately $20. For the movie. After a lengthy explanation and an offer by me to wait till they contacted the gentleman from the front desk, they took the charge off our bill. We also needed to use their laundry facilities which were inconveniently located outside in the back of the building. The room was dirty; the lint filter from the dryer was filled w/lint. There was no "change" available. The stay was absolutely horrible.” Nov 9, 2007 by
Tena from Chicago, IL
“This hotel was ok if you are looking for a cheap motel. It was not a 3 star establishment by any means. The heater in my room did not work so I asked for additional blankets. They didn't have any so they brought me mattress pads, which were fine except for them reeked of smoke. The next morning, I saw 2 staff members folding laundry in an incredibly small room while smoking!” Nov 5, 2007 by
Mary from Pasadena, MD
“Great hotel but the valet parking should be free as the location is in an undesirable section of Baltimore, 3 city blocks from the inner harbor and right across from a rail station with undesirables hanging out. If less expensive valet parking and shuttle service to inner harbor available I would definitely stay again.” Nov 2, 2007 by
Shadayen from University Park, PA
“This hotel may not be bad if compared with other budget hotels.” Oct 16, 2007 by
Ray from Gaithersburg, MD
“Good location, clean rooms, reasonable price, helpful staff. Would stay again.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Christal from Mifflinburg, PA
“Feel they could sweep the outside hallways and drain the green pool to make it a little more attractive.” Aug 30, 2007 by
Ramona from Middletown, DE
“The hotel is an older one but the rooms seem redone and mine was nice. The area it is in has a lot of abandoned houses/restaurants kind of icky in that regard. The pool was nice; the view behind the hotel was nice. There are lots of restaurants about a mile west on 30, an easy ride from there.” Aug 25, 2007 by
Becky from Portsmouth, RI
“My husband and I are 68 years old - we made an error in selecting the hotel. We were looking for one that was right off Rt 81.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Joellyn from Warnerville, NY
“I had to change rooms because the bed sheets were not clean, the room had a strong odor of mildew and the carpeting also exuded an odor of mold.” Jul 12, 2007 by
Julie from Iowa City, IA
“The room was comfortable and the furnishings were of a good quality, but the cleanliness was questionable as there were stains on the armchair and someone else's undergarments still left in the dresser drawer.” Jul 10, 2007 by
Karis R. from Fillmore, NY
“The hotel was great. The housekeeping could have been a little better but for the most part it was fine. The kids would have also liked a kiddy pool where they could actually stand up in the pool.” Jul 4, 2007 by
Melissa from Myersville, MD
“It was far from the best but far from the worst. We were there one night, got a good nights sleep. It was clean and did not stink. For what it needed to be at the price I received, it did its job.” Jun 14, 2007 by
Ruth from Butler, PA
“Hotel was centrally located for our needs. The room service staff was the greatest but the mattress was horrible and left me with an extremely bad back ache which made it difficult to walk each day that we stayed.” May 23, 2007 by
Lucia from Knoxville, PA
“Staff was very friendly every time I spoke to them. They provided me with directions because we could not find the hotel.” May 23, 2007 by
Eric “It is exactly what I expect of a Holiday Inn. It is somewhat better than a Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn. It is near the Harley-Davidson factory, so there were many Harley tourists. The surrounding neighborhood looks like it is about to be demolished for some sort of shopping center. There are plenty of casual dining choices within a few miles of the hotel.” May 13, 2007 by
George from Carson City, NV
“I would never recommend this motel to anyone. The Manager, Norman Miller III is spineless. He would not refund any portion or give any relief in the way of price for occupancy during my stay. He delegated his responsibility to his Sales Dept. She did not know of the disturbance that his housekeeping staff had created and would not budge in price for fear of losing her job. The housekeeper left horrifying and derogatory notes in my room. I felt completely vulnerable and totally unsafe while staying at that motel. I fear the made would enlist accomplishes to retaliate against my legitimate complaints. The motel is on the market and in the process of being sold. Everyone is in fear of losing their jobs. So no one will stand up for the customers and their sanity!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 2, 2007 by

“No frills, ok for a quick overnight stay while traveling. Room was quiet and comfortable. Minimal amenities. No bar or restaurant open at 9:30 check in on a Saturday night. ” Mar 25, 2007 by
Lauria from Carson City, NV
“Equivalent to motel 6.” Mar 19, 2007 by
Eileen from Middleboro, MA
“It was clean and adequate; nothing special, but comfortable.” Jan 31, 2007 by
Lee from Herndon, VA
“The motel style with drive up rooms made it very difficult to use the exercise room because it was too cold to go outside in exercise clothes and there were no changing facilities. The shared computer for internet access was quite handy although it was as hot as a sauna in the room with this computer. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly but it was an older hotel that was built more along the lines of a motel. A bit like mutton parading as lamb.” Jan 8, 2007 by
Julie from Denville, NJ
“Good location, friendly staff, pretty good bang for buck but rooms need to be renovated.” Sep 16, 2006 by
Joyce from Rock Hill, SC
“I would not recommend this because the outside of hotel was not clean, the laundry room was horribly dirty, housekeeping did not do a good job as one would expect. Food in the restaurant was not very good and too costly for what one got. I will not stay at this hotel again.” Aug 30, 2006 by
Carolyn B. from Port Jervis, NY
“It's was very clean and quiet too!!” Jul 26, 2006 by
Barbara from Reading, PA
“Nice rooms, but has outdoor corridors, and to get to the second floor had to use stairs.” May 12, 2006 by
Matt E. from Allenwood, PA
“The room was dirty. Hairs were in the bathtub and the carpets were scroungy. It looked as if the cracks along the walls hadn't been swept in weeks. The bathroom was small, tight and gave us the feeling of uncleanness.” Apr 5, 2006 by
Robert from Arlington, VA
“It was great in all respects starting with the reception when I arrived and for the duration of my stay.” Mar 3, 2006 by
Safa from Ma, MA
“The room was truly disgusting. There were stains on the bedding, a cigarette hole in the covers, an even a smell to the room that my 5 year old noticed. The furnishing was old and shabby. I was glad when the night was finally over. ” Jan 11, 2006 by
Donna from Marietta, PA
“We were pleasantly surprised at the excellent service we received upon arrival. Room service was a great added bonus. Though the hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, it was more than we expected because of the way the staff made us feel welcomed and important, both professional and friendly. We would go back again.” Nov 12, 2005 by
David from York, PA
“No comment.” Nov 10, 2005 by
Ken from Bensalem, PA
“It's plenty good enough for business travelers.” Nov 4, 2005 by
Dan from Kitty Hawk, NC
“The hotel some how got my reservation screwed up, thinking I had not payed for my second night's stay. When I returned to my room late that night, they had disabled my key and locked me out of my room. I had to spend the night in a different room, without access to my stuff. It was quite an inconvenience.” Oct 21, 2005 by
Suzanne from Kremlin, OK
“Ok place to stay. Some of the staff did not appear to like their line of work. Rooms are adequate.” Oct 8, 2005 by
Suzanne from Crofton, MD
“This hotel reminded me of a "motel" from the 1960's. All rooms were entered from the poorly lit outdoor walkways which were also extremely dirty. I did not feel particularly safe and did not feel that the hotel met my expectations for a 2.5 star hotel or the price of $60 plus. The staff was very courteous and helpful but the accomodations were sorely lacking. ” Sep 21, 2005 by
David from Castanea, PA
“Overall an excellent stay. Staff and accommodations were first rate. Only negative was that a couple trash items (coke cans) had been left of desk after the maid cleaned the room from the previous guest.” Aug 10, 2005 by
Rosemary and Petrina
“I did not find staff to be friendly or helpful. I found the front automatic door to the lobby to be dangerous. Not only did it injur my son's hand but then it closed on my elbow. The walkways between rooms were dirty and the pool was poor.” Jun 22, 2005 by
Steve from Commerce, MI “Good location, old full-sized beds with very old mattresses, friendly staff with young workers, loud clientele and some freeway noise” Jun 15, 2005 by
S from Brandon, SD
“This is not what I had in mind for a Holiday Inn.It's like a converted motel 6 from the 60's. Room entrances are outside. The room was ok but the Air conditioning didn't work so I had to move to another room. The whole place is just run down.” Jun 15, 2005 by
Judy from Yakima, WA
“Holiday Inn is competing with Motel 6.”
