• Fairly clean with expected facility at the price.
• The furniture can use some repair; light bulb had to be replaced.

“What one would expect for a business traveler. I have two young children (5 and 8); I would hope for a small fridge or the like, but understand that we are not the hotel's target tenants. The drawers can use some repair. Light bulb and coffeemaker had to be replaced during our stay (and they were replaced promptly). Overall, it's still a good deal at Priceline price.”

• Lobby was a good gathering place for our hockey team/parents.
• Hotel staff was not very accomodating at check in.

• Sheets was clean and liked the balcony.
• The toilet handle had to be pulled forward and then backward and air conditioner was very loud.

“Front desk staff was nice and friendly. We could hear waitress
screaming in the kitchen about a customer(not us)who should have gone to McDonald's to order from the dollar menu while we were at the breakfast buffet. Other customers were offended also. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The drapes kept out the morning light. We would stay there again.”

• I liked the room. We were only there for 1 night, but was completed satisfied.
• We only stayed 1 night, but the hotel was more than satisfactory.

• The staff was very friendly and helped me out with all my questions.
• The only thing I did not like was that they did not ask to see a form of ID when I checked in.

“The stay was very nice. Staff helped me out immediately and were quick to help me out. I could not find the ice machine at first so when I went to the front desk they immediately went and filled up my bucket and then informed where the closest machine was to my room. I really appreciate little things like that. The room was very clean and met all my expectations!”

• The courtyard was beautiful and the front desk was so helpful.
• Lack of hot water. Difficult to find even with GPS!

“Overall, our experience exceeded our expectations. The room was amazing with a slider that opened onto an azalea in full bloom. The hotel was quiet and well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful in recommending places to visit and restaurants to try. We would definitely stay there again.”

• Convenience- close to I-95, close to shopping facilities, friendly staff and access to internet.
• A microwave and a refrigerator would have been useful.

“Courtyard Columbia is conveniently located to both the major thoroughfare, and has easy access to shopping facilities and eateries. Plus, the staff is friendly and cooperative.”

• Convenient location and basic accommodations.
• Lacked in anything more than basic comforts.

“The hotel was decent and clean for a short term business traveler. With none of the "minimal" types of features that makes a 4-night stay comfortable, like a shower cap or an in-room fridge. The a/c was a little weak and the shower was a little dim, but it did the trick - and nothing more.”

• The people were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean with nice fluffy blankets and many pillows.
• When I extended my stay the price went up.

• For the cost, it was convenient and good quality.
• The bed was uncomfortable.

“The room was nice, we had a king bed and a pull-out sofa. Okay... the type of room was fine, but the person's attitude was not. Once we got to our room, I was pretty excited because my husband and I had just stayed at a Marriott the weekend before and they had the most comfortable bed I had ever stayed in a hotel before and there were the same linens on this bed. Or so I thought, because when I hopped into bed, they clearly were not the same. This hotel had very uncomfortable beds, soft, lumpy pillows and scratchy, low quality sheets. Certainly a far cry from what we had the weekend before, even if they were made to look the same. Also, we were a bit disappointed that this Courtyard charged for their continental breakfast in the morning. I thought all Courtyard's included that complimentary? That was on me, though, for assuming and not checking it out ahead of time.”

• Convenient, clean, courteous staff.
• Hampton Inn has better services - the hotel layout was awkward.

“Accommodations were well kept and the staff was courteous and helpful. There was a long walk to the room from the front of the hotel and location of elevator access always seemed to be on the opposite side of the building. The room was large and comfortable and the furniture well arranged for comfort. However the Internet would have been easier and more convenient if it were wireless. The cabling was too short to make it to the coffee table which was more comfortable to sit at instead of the high table provided.”

• Location was in good area
• Hotel is hidden from view and Columbia doesn't allow billboards

“Overall for a short stay, the Columbia Marriott was an good hotel. The location is somewhat central and close to malls and shopping. Drawback is the property is somewhat hidden in an industrial park.”

• Great location! Easy to get to shopping, highway, etc.
• Hotel staff at check in was not very professional.

“The hotel was very clean and had nice amenities. With small children on vacation, it was wonderful as the rooms stayed very dark in the morning and allowed for maximum sleeping time. However, the staff seemed either unwilling or unable to help with minor requests and were not very friendly. Would stay again due to quality of hotel itself.”

• They had a very nice breakfast buffet although it was extra.
• I would have preferred to not have a room for handicapped.

• The hotel was farther away from everything then I expected.
