• Some staff is friendly.
• Housekeeping horrible. Not near Metro station. Pool is dirty.

“Housekeeping is horrible. She keeps taking away our towels and not leaving new one. We have to call at the second time to get new towels. Location is not too convenience, but the hotel provides limited shuttle service. $10/day internet fee in room. Free parking through.”

• Room very attractively furnished.
• Pay per view on TV did not work.

“Accommodating staff upon check in and check out. Very nice room that was beautifully furnished. Bathroom excellent. I called the front desk and they told me it was an unfixable building wide internet provider problem. Two, HD was unavailable on the TV and the front desk didn't have a clue when asked about this. Third, there was no TV channel guide in the room either on the TV or as printed matter.”

• The courteous staff and cleanliness of the rooms and facilities.
• The commute from the city was too long. Traveled from DC.

• The location is perfect for a visit to the University of Maryland. It is less expensive than the hotels a tiny bit closer but much much nicer.
• I have no negatives, it served us very well. Comfortable, clean and great location.

“The hotel is located within a short distance of the metro and the University of Maryland - which was the focus of our visit. The room was very clean, beds comfortable and the staff very friendly. We had a light lunch in the bar and found the food fine and the drinks cold. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Conveniently located near exit ramp of I95. Comfortably furnished, clean, and quiet. Breakfast buffet was adequate; servers were pleasant and accommodating. (I was pleasantly surprised.).”

• Clean, nicely decorated rooms.
• Never necessary amount of towels, face cloths, one day we weren't given any face cloths. Also charging for internet access is a minus.

“The hotel was clean and comfortable, easily accessible from the highway, close to grocery store and the Metro commuter lot. We were always short on towels and facecloths, and there is a daily $10 fee for in-room internet access.”

• Corner room.

“Hotel is as rated three-star. The room I had was a king size bed. I did not like that it was a corner room. (not square) On the other hand it did include a Flat screen TV, fridge, micro, and coffeemaker. Nice sink/mirror area for getting ready. Morning buffet is 10.95. Includes everything. Most of food around hotel is fast food. There are many restaurants around surrounding area. The exercise room is small but accommodating. I would use this hotel again.”

• The computer kiosk in the lobby.
• My son was able to order a movie accidentally and too easily.

“The hotel staff was friendly, helpful accommodating and had good restaurant recommendations. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I really enjoyed our stay.”

• Up to date decor, huge flat screen TV, spacious.
• Microwave and refrigerator old and beat up in both rooms and did not fit in with décor.

“The hotel was very nice but if you offer a free breakfast it should be offered to all. The breakfast also needs to change from day to day.”

• The room was so updated and designed well- clean and well lit.
• Only thing I can think of, no free continental breakfast.

“The front desk staff greeted us and wanted to help, very alert to our presence and needs. The room was much updated with many design features that made sense- from a flat screen TV that swiveled between the king-sized bed and two club chairs with ottomans for daytime viewing. Clean, new carpet- awesome bed!”

• My girlfriend felt in love with the hotel, she was so happy and it made our stay great.
• Nothing that I can recall, they really tried their best to accommodate us.

• Heating unit was noisy.

“This hotel was conveniently located near major roads. The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. The one thing that could have been better was the heater. It was quite noisy when the blower was on and it was placed directly across from the bed. However, I would be willing to stay here again.”

“Finest, most accommodating front desk staff I have ever encountered. The room was recently renovated and beautiful. The guests next door to us were VERY loud throughout the night, but the staff tried their hardest to resolve that.”

• The rooms were very nice and clean since it is being remodeled.
• There was no refrigerator and you have to pay for the internet.

“This hotel was very nice since it is being remodeled. However the food was too expensive, you have to pay for the internet, and even the bottled water in the room you had to pay for if opened. My biggest complaint is they don't get basic cable which I would expect at this type of hotel so my toddler kids really had nothing to watch thankfully I brought my own and a DVD play.”

“When the construction is finished, this will be a terrific hotel. It is at a walking distance to a movie theater. It is close to fast food, gasoline, and a drug store. It is also very convenient to I-95. It is nice, now, but will be excellent at construction end.”

• Nice room with two very comfortable beds.
• No wireless internet, I do not even carry a land line in my bag anymore.

“This was a nice hotel with very comfortable rooms. The restaurant was ok at best. Not having wireless internet was frustrating. The main problem with this hotel is its name. I went to the university of Maryland and I am very familiar with college park, this hotel is no where close to being in college park that is like saying Dulles or bwi airport is in Washington dc. If you want to be near the university of Maryland do not stay here.”

• When we finally got settled in, the hotel accommodations were good.
• The front desk assigned me two rooms that were very dirty. Apparently, they were in the system as clean, but they were not.

“The hotel staff had to search for a clean room for us when we checked in at 5:30pm. We were assigned rooms on the 7th & 6th floors & had to come back to the front desk, because the rooms had not been cleaned. We were able to get a room on the third try. The desk clerk gave us two complimentary breakfast tickets for the inconvenience.”

• The staff was exceptional. From 7 a.m. shuttles to metro to directions to Starbucks.
• They are under renovation but that was not a factor in my experience.

“I liked this hotel a lot. The renovation might be more relevant to those seeking a romantic weekend. The pool was out of operation and there was a little construction noise during the 9am to 5pm time period. It did not affect my stay. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Accepts pets (dogs) but no first floor rooms.

“Hotel is being renovated, though the room we occupied was quite nice without renovation. Attractive lobby, adequate parking, pleasant staff. Provides copies of USA Today. Refrigerator & microwave in room. No grab bars or soap dish in bathtub. Charges for outgoing calls.”

• Inexpensive and conveniently located.
• A little run-down, had to change rooms due to leaky A/C.

“If you need to be in the area, it is convenient to I-95 and the Beltway. The staff was helpful when I needed to change rooms due to a major leak in the air conditioning unit. They had attempted to upgrade the bedding, but the pillows were very thin and uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet was a step above the continental breakfast served at 2-star hotels, but not what you would expect from a Sheraton.”

“The hotel had book a family reunion and put us in rooms on the same floor as some of these guests. We had to call the desk to have security come to quiet them down at 2:00 in the morning.”

• (One) Free bottle of water in room.
• Handicap room, mold on walls, rude check-in person.

“We were put in a handicap room which meant that we had one bed for the four of us. I tried to get a different room but just couldn't stand to wait any longer (15 minutes before someone came up to the desk with a "911 emergency"), so we made do with the kids sleeping on the floor. There was moisture damage on the exterior wall and therefore some mold along the bottom of the wall. The room was definitely due for a remodel. The lobby space was adequate but nothing special. What looked like a nice continental breakfast was actually a 9 dollar breakfast buffet. There is no way that this place should be rated at 3 stars!”

• We liked the layout of the room with the TV which is watch able from the bed and the air conditioner wasn't too loud.
• There was a pair of men's underwear and denim shorts under the bed from a previous guest. A little surprising as I prepared to check out of the room.

“The hotel was clean and easily accessed from i-95 which was nice for a newcomer to the area. The front desk staff was friendly. There were no copies of the list of area restaurants and the male staffers I asked for a list were bothered because a female coworker had apparently given out the "master" copy in the notebook. Everything else in the experience was nice - even allowing an extra two hours for a late check-out when I needed the cushion of time to finish a tour schedule of the area.”

• Lifeguard at pool blasted loud radio music and would not lower it when I requested him to.
