“The staff was extremely accommodating and the facility was an easy place to do what I needed to do - work while visiting family. I stayed 9 nights and then extended my stay another 3 nights.”

• It is quiet, clean and friendly atmosphere.
• The location is a little bit far from DC and VA but if you have a car it's ok.

“For 21/2 star hotel the hotel fulfilled my expectations. It is a clean and quite. The only problem is; if you are planning to stay here you need a car to travel to the center.”

“The hotel was slightly above average for this area. Traffic into NW Washington DC from this location was very, very heavy. Unfortunately there weren't many nice dining options near hotel.”

• Rooms were spacious and had a balcony.
• No complimentary breakfast.

“A very nice hotel with a family friendly feeling. Lobby is impressive with nice fireplace and open business area with a computer. Some rooms have small balconies that overlook the courtyard. Pool was nice and real free weights in gym was a nice surprise. Be sure the desk staff is specific about your room and what entrance you should use, or you could end up on the wrong side of hotel that is not accessible to the other.”

“This was the worst Marriott Courtyard that I've ever visited. It was quite run-down, and crews were working in hallways on weekdays. Some of the staff were helpful, but when I encountered wet carpet that was soaking through my stocking feet, nobody acknowledged the inconvenience of moving rooms.”

• The location was a plus. it was close to Downtown Silver Spring, MD and Downtown DC. It was also conveniently located off of the highway.
• I was not impressed by the continental breakfast. Also the hotel "security" was resting on the floor not "securing" the building.

“For the amount I paid for the hotel, I thought it was reasonable. The location is the greatest benefit for travelers. The staff was helpful and the room was nice. The outside of the hotel may make you hesitate, but it is not reflective of the accommodations inside. I would give it an over all rating of 8 out of 10. I would stay there again.”

• Unfriendly staff person and very noisy with construction going on out side of room!

“The staff person was very unfriendly when the hotel occupant complained about being awakened very early by construction outside her window. She is a stay-at-home mom and never gets a chance to sleep a few extra hours and, therefore, she was looking forward to just getting a little extra sleep. All she wanted was for the staff person to be kind and show a little respect when she talked to him. Instead, he was very unkind. He moved her to another room which was just a few doors down from where she was and so she still was awakened by the noise early in the morning.”

• The pool hours are 5pm to 10pm. What's with that?

“Good and clean. Directions on the website are not the best. Is not exactly right off a main interstate. The pool hours are only at night. I stayed for two days, got in my suim trunks at 2pm and could not go swimming.”

• The hotel was not as clean as I expected it to be. The room had an odor from the airconditioning unit; the filter may have needed to be changed.

“Good service. Nice rooms. Excellent access to the major roads. Within a short driving distance to the Metro. Also had amenities like a pool, small store, and weight room but we did not take advantage of these.”

• Breakfast buffet was not very good.

“Kind of hard to find (about 5 miles off I-95), but this is a well-maintained and updated hotel. Metro station is about a 15 min drive from the hotel and it takes about 20 mins to get to Union Station on the Metro. I would not hesitate to stay here again, especially for the price!”

“The hotel might be off the "beaten tracks" but it is exceptionally clean and the staff will go out of their way to help you. I was surprised that the charged for breakfast; however, the menu was excellent and the prices very reasonable.”

• Hotel decor is very enjoyable. Beautiful courtyard and nicely furnished and decorated rooms.
• We had called and requested a king bed, but was given a room with two twin beds. Second try, they sent us to a room that was dirty. Third time perfect

“Once we got to our clean room with a king bed, we enjoyed our stay in a very nice hotel. i would like to stay at this hotel again.”

“It was fairly isolated with a longer drive than expected to downtown silver spring. Trash was present in the room, and gum was stuck to the air conditioning unit control door. After 1-2 days I noticed bug bites on my skin and believe the sheets were probably not changed. Very disappointed by the lack of cleanliness.”
