• I liked the fact that the hotel staff allowed early check in - without any trouble.
• The location is only good if you are driving; public transportation is not available.

• Size of the room.
• Did not liked the king bed room, asked to be moved to double and desk person was mean, hung up on me!

“Prefer Marriott in Bethesda instead, people were not friendly, threat of loosing your Navigaaation and break-ins for the car. too far out of the way from the beltway were I had to travel to thed Job 40 miles fro silver spring to campsprings.”

• The staff promptly handled my requests with courtesy.
• There was nothing that I encountered.

“This hotel is very pleasant for the leisure traveler. Some rooms have a patio or balcony over looking the courtyard. The beds are comfortable, and the pool is covered. For people that need to do a little work, there is an excellent desk area with ample space, lamps, and plugs for electronics.”

• Safe, clean environment and friendly staff.
• The glasses had not been washed. There was lip stick stains on one.

“If it were not for the dirty glass, I would have no complaints. I would suggest a complimentary breakfast for guests who stay for more than one night or a small refrigerator in the room.”

• I really liked the decor of the room-it was very tasteful.
• The only thing I did not like was the lack of continental breakfast, but that was probably typical of a 2.5 star hotel.

“Our stay was very comfortable-e were able to check in early and the staff was very helpful in giving directions to the Metro as well as getting us a refrigerator. The room was very nice and clean and they made it easy to check out. Everything was easy to find and I was even able to check my email quickly in the morning.”

“The rooms are spacious for two and a good size for four. Computers are easily accessible. Breakfast being extra seemed odd in this time when most hotels include a continental breakfast with the room.”

• Ice machine was broken on the 2nd floor.

• It was a Courtyard.
• The room on the second day was not cleaned right.

“This hotel is not a easy location to get to. When I came back on the second day, they left dirty diapers on the floor, used water in the ice bucket and the tub had not been clean. Not a good sign from a Marriott hotel.”

• No on site restaurant; no restaurants close by in event of bad weather.

• The overall hotel and my guest room were very clean and well maintained.
• No food is next to the hotel. Closest restaurants are just beyond a reasonable a walking distance.

“Overall I was very happy with hotel. The hotel and room was very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly. Great for business travel. The rooms have complimentary wired broadband access, but not wireless. So I couldn't do any work on my laptop from anywhere except the desk. And the speed of the broadband access dropped noticeably as evening progressed. Otherwise no complaints and I would stay there again.”

“Very clean, safe, but remote location. Great staff. We needed a taxi every day, and they called for it on time every time. Would definitely stay at again, but might consider someplace closer to where we needed to be. For the cost of a taxi each day ($40 total) we could have been right where we needed to be at a more expensive hotel. Otherwise great.”

• Not conveniently located to metro or bus. Must rent a car or take cabs.

“This was a great hotel. It was clean and had a helpful and friendly staff. We really enjoyed staying here. However, it wasn't very conveniently located to the university of Maryland or to public transportation. I would say that overall, the comfort of this hotel made up for the location.”

• I did not like the maid looking through my things and they did not have room service.

• It was in the middle of nowhere for tourist purposes.

“It was a typical business traveler hotel. Breakfast was not included as I thought nor were there toiletries - just shampoo and soap. The way airport security is I would have thought more would be provided.”

• The location is a little bit far from DC and VA but if you have a car it's ok.

“For 21/2 star hotel the hotel fulfilled my expectations. It is a clean and quite. The only problem is; if you are planning to stay here you need a car to travel to the center.”

“A very nice hotel with a family friendly feeling. Lobby is impressive with nice fireplace and open business area with a computer. Some rooms have small balconies that overlook the courtyard. Pool was nice and real free weights in gym was a nice surprise. Be sure the desk staff is specific about your room and what entrance you should use, or you could end up on the wrong side of hotel that is not accessible to the other.”

“This was the worst Marriott Courtyard that I've ever visited. It was quite run-down, and crews were working in hallways on weekdays. Some of the staff were helpful, but when I encountered wet carpet that was soaking through my stocking feet, nobody acknowledged the inconvenience of moving rooms.”

• The location was a plus. it was close to Downtown Silver Spring, MD and Downtown DC. It was also conveniently located off of the highway.
• I was not impressed by the continental breakfast. Also the hotel "security" was resting on the floor not "securing" the building.

“For the amount I paid for the hotel, I thought it was reasonable. The location is the greatest benefit for travelers. The staff was helpful and the room was nice. The outside of the hotel may make you hesitate, but it is not reflective of the accommodations inside. I would give it an over all rating of 8 out of 10. I would stay there again.”

• Unfriendly staff person and very noisy with construction going on out side of room!

“The staff person was very unfriendly when the hotel occupant complained about being awakened very early by construction outside her window. She is a stay-at-home mom and never gets a chance to sleep a few extra hours and, therefore, she was looking forward to just getting a little extra sleep. All she wanted was for the staff person to be kind and show a little respect when she talked to him. Instead, he was very unkind. He moved her to another room which was just a few doors down from where she was and so she still was awakened by the noise early in the morning.”
