• Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
• More a problem with DC really....beggars.

“Conveniently located ~ 7 blocks north of the national mall, there is plenty of stuff between the hotel and the sites. The staff were very accommodating, even locating a small card table so we could play euchre and drink in the room. The double decker bus we used had a stop right outside the hotel, very convenient.”

• A very good business class hotel, close to China town, with good access to the metro.
• No free Wi-Fi in rooms.

“This hotel is just a block from China town, which can be easily reached through the China town metro-station. It's also an extraordinary hotel, with very clean and spacious rooms, as well as comforting surroundings. The area feels clean and safe, the staff was also very friendly even though we arrived in casual clothing and felt under dressed among mostly business travelers. This hotel therefore is a recommendation, even though I missed free Wi-Fi in our room.”

• The hotel restaurant and staff were exceptional.
• Small rooms.

“The location if great. It is within walking distance to many attractions. The Metro bus as well as tour buses come by the hotel. It is easy to see DC when staying here. The negative is that the hotel has no pool, very small rooms, and the staff is not as friendly as a 4 star staff should be.”

• Convenient location; metro station close by.
• Parking is normal for a city, but should be added to room price. Add $28 per day to park.

“Nothing spectacular but for the price it was good. Clean, but hotel is starting to age. Forget trying to feed teenagers at the hotel.”

• It's very close to all that DC has to offer.
• The room was not up to the quality promised.

“I stayed at a 3 star facility the night before and the room was nicer than the room at this 4 star facility. The internet was slow and way overpriced. the hotel looked like it hadn't been remodeled in 10 years. Usually this hotel provider has large rooms and plenty of room to move around. Not at this facility. I don't hold Priceline liable but i do think the star rating should be dropped.”

• Convenient to metro and Union Station.
• No free internet access, even in lobby.

“The Hyatt is welcoming with clean premises, an interesting lobby, and friendly, helpful staff. The guest room was spacious but basic. There is no free wireless access anywhere in the building, including the lobby. Restaurant choices are limited - either the high end restaurant or the attached bar, which only serves expensive snacks and small meals. In my opinion this facility does not warrant its 3.5 star rating - it's more a solid 3 star.”

• The little touches were luxurious: soaps, linens, decor, and Starbucks in lobby.
• Our stay was too short!

“For the cost we got on Priceline, this hotel was well worth the money! Luxurious linens, spa-like toiletries, quiet, and spotless. Parking was a breeze (we parked ourselves), and the Starbucks in the lobby had a great breakfast.”

“This hotel is very nice, a little far from main attractions; the staff made us feel important and special, even with 3 children on my own. The air in the room was a little stale and the heater smelled a little, but it was clean and very comfortable. The AC was not loud, it's awful when it is. would be nice if breakfast was included as it was expensive. No views at all. Overall, very nice hotel and location, especially for business travelers.”

• I liked the location, the workout room and the friendly staff. Also, the bed was really comfortable and the sheets soft.
• Too close to convention center, very busy. Would have like to have seen a moderately priced casual restaurant in the hotel.

“The hotel is in a perfect location to explore the many areas of DC. With the Verizon Center just two blocks away, many historic attractions in the neighborhood, and DuPont Circle and Geargetwon so nearby, this is a great stop for anyone wishing to explore DC. I would highly recommend it to a sports fan looking for covenience to the Capitols and Wizzards, a vacationer looking to explore the area, or a business traveler who needs to be near the Convention Center and downtown. Everyone at the hotel seemed to be enjoying themselves.”

• Pleasant lobby.
• Walls were thin; party next door at 4:30 in the morning.

“We had a very unpleasant stay at the hotel. The room next door had parties going at 4:30 in the morning. Walls were thin. It took 3 calls to hotel management to get them to break up the party and get the music off (at 4:50 am).”

• Nice location - loved the spa/work out area with its pool/steam room/sauna but I regretted not having the time to use it.
• $25/night parking, but I think that is to be expected in DC.

“Very nice decor, nice location, clean and comfortable. Fantastic gym, good sports bar (with presidential theme), whole subterranean network of meeting/conference/ball rooms. I would love to come back with more time to fully appreciate all the hotel had to offer with ambience, amenities, etc.”

“This was a great hotel. We were in town to watch the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center. This was the perfect location. Less than a 5 minute walk. The room was neat and clean. The staff were friendly. I have to say that the fee for parking is too much. But most of the D.C. hotels are that way. Overall a great stay.”

“Only because of the size of the rooms, I would rate this hotel as a 3.5. I was a single person in my room, but had there been 2 of us, we would have had to slide past each other. Otherwise, great location, helpful concierge and doormen and counter staff.”
