• The accommodations were wonderful! I wish I could have stayed longer.
• The room was clean and beautiful but the ice bucket had stagnate water in it.

• I loved the modern appeal and atmosphere. Will visit again.
• I don't recall anything.

“The Grand Hyatt is a top hotel in the D.C. area. It was very contemporary/modern, but comfortable as well. My wife and I loved it and will travel back to the Hyatt again.”

“For the first time in my life, I reserved a room and when I went to check in was told they did not have one for me. Infuriating. Especially late at night when all you want to do is go to sleep.”

• No free amenities.

“For a nice hotel, they really do a good job of cheapening the whole experience. Didn't go the extra mile at all. No free wifi. No parking of any sort. The TV looked about 15 years old. The staff was mediocre. The restaurant 'Cure' was horrid. Wouldn't stay there again.”

• The staff was warm and welcoming. Room was perfect and clean. Location was ideal, in the heart of DC 10 minute walk to all major attractions.

“Big, busy hotel with all the amenities. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted warmly. We asked for some guidance of what to see in town and were given a map by the front desk. Our room was clean and well appointed. Beds were so comfortable. When we woke, we went down to the Starbucks had coffee and then took our son to the café for breakfast. It was a great experience and we would most definitely go back. We only stayed the one night, but will return in the future.”

• Very efficient staff and clean common areas.
• The bell staff really lets you know with body language that they want their tips!

“Staff was professional and courteous and the hotel was clean and modern. Not what I expected as far as glamor but nice just the same. Very convenient and well run. No problems whatsoever but if you are looking for a top of the line hotel, this would rate a little lower.”

• The new capability to print boarding passes when you leave was very helpful.
• It seemed like because I was using Priceline I did not receive as nice of a room as others. Some amenities the hotel offers were not available.

“This hotel is getting better. It's better than it was a few ago. The lobby has improved and feels nice now. However, the halls need to be brightened and the room decor does too. The bed felt like it just wasn't clean enough and I found crumbs on the floor from a previous guest. It should have been cleaner. The beds could be upgraded to be more comfortable.”

“It was a bit difficult to get into the hotel to check in but once in check in was easy. The location is great you can walk just about any where in 10 minutes or you can take the subway system from the lobby.”

“This hotel was beautiful, and is in a prime location. They serve a beautiful breakfast buffet, but my wife found a roach crawling on the breakfast bar counter, which the staff did attend to once notified. This was the only negative at all, but I can say I won't eat there again.”

• The location was where I wanted to be and had direct access to the Metro Center stop.
• The room in our carpet was torn up and the remote didn't work when we got there.

“The location is great (walking distance to Chinatown, Verizon Center, can get to Metro Center and Macy's without going outside), the lobby was large and well-lit, our room was nice, but the carpet was torn up. Also, the remote didn't work when we got there and so we had to call for someone to come in and reset it. The bathroom was nice and large with a spacious shower.”

• Alternative lifestyle conference.

“Extremely displeased with an Alternative Lifestyle convention going on there. I was there with young children for a holiday. Staff would not disclose this. Attendees to the conference were dressed very inappropriate in general areas and hotel staff did not do much about it. My family and I were very dissatisfied with stay.”

• The hotel is in an area convenient to the convention center, restaurants, China town and retail shopping. Lively lobby with several restaurants.
• There were no newspapers available, even to purchase. Also, there was a fee for the internet and fitness room.

• They charge me for the internet and for some private reserve that nobody can explain me what it means.

• The desk chair and the clock radio that I put my iPod in and internet for 24 hours instead of 12 pm to 12 pm.
• Carport attendants didn't follow through with luggage.

• Absolutely nothing!

“Those who find ANYTHING negative about this property apparently have Buckingham Palace as their primary residence. In fact, those people should contact Queen Elizabeth for reservations there. I can tell you that "these whinners" would find the palace to not meet their expectations. Water not hot enough? Ask the burn center what happens when one takes a shower in hot water. Bathroom too small? Leave your elephant at home. A+ for staff. A+ for rooms. A+ for location A+ for food.”

“This is Hyatt at its best. You can always count on consistently high experience with Hyatt. They staff is attentive, and courteous. The facilities are clean and never appear worn or tired despite the volume of business this place does.”

• Not ideal for a romantic getaway.

“Beautiful hotel! Very attractive atrium area and a friendly staff behind the counter. Great value! Close to many attractions like the wax museum, Smithsonian, and the monuments. Parking was rather expensive ($30), but the valet was very quick.”

• Clean comfortable room, great bedding and good location.
• A hotel staff person tried to open the door to my room without announcing who he was.

“Very nice upscale hotel in Downtown Washington DC. Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. Hotel atrium area is well decorated. The hotel room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. There are restaurants, museums and other activities in walking distance from the hotel.”

• Location was terrific, near the Metro and many sights. The hotel was also very clean.
• Lighting in bathroom was poor. Exhaust fan was non existent.

“The hotel was beautiful, very well located for sightseeing and cultural events. Much to see within walking distance and close to the Metro for long distance travel. On the down side, parking was extremely expensive.”

• The location is close to all attraction which is great.
• Hotel is not so family friendly; lacks pool; it is very business like.

“This is a good hotel for business but it is not amenable to family or romantic vacations. There is no pool and it would be great if it had one. The hotel is also very loud.”

• You could not use the luggage cart without a bellmen.
