• Clean and convenient.
• Non-English speaking front desk personnel made some tasks difficult. No sundry shop available.

“The Nage restaurant was closed and the hotel personnel did not have access to it. They also could not offer us any utensils - plastic or otherwise. My boyfriend had to leave the hotel, go across the street to another hotel, just to get us some spoons so we could eat the desserts that we bought earlier. Overall, our stay at this hotel was good. Valet personnel were all great as well as some of the other front desk personnel. Hotel is good for business travelers. Not sure if I would stay at this hotel again.”

• Kids and I were not prepared for a pool as it wasn't stated anywhere. A pool does exist.

• Bellman Gregory was an excellent help w/directions & meal suggestions. Hidden market right around the corner for cigarettes, wine & Misc.
• Front Desk staff not very knowledgeable about area - especially restaurants.

“Extremely nice, large rooms, with all the amenities including hair dryer, iron/board, flat screen TV, sitting area and of view of the city. Pool area is very small and only takes a few people to feel crowded (located in basement). Great workout room. Only 4 blocks from the Metro station. Restaurant is good, but pricey - especially for breakfast. Great little bar for a night cap. We would have loved to sit in their "courtyard" in the evening, but there were no tables or chairs. Since we were traveling for pleasure, it was nice to have a computer in the lobby to check emails and to print our boarding passes. I work in the hotel business and I am very critical, but they do a nice job!”

• Took a while to check-in, and to claim a bag left in the cloak.

• Nice clean rooms, helpful staff, and plasma TV.
• I would have liked to have had a continental breakfast provided each morning.

“This hotel met all of my expectations. The rooms were adequate and well maintained. The kids loved the plasma TV and the pool. I feel the valet parking fee of $25 per day was a little steep, but I must note that I was only charged the parking fee for the full days we were in town (not for the day we arrived or the day we left. that was nice).”

• Beds were very plush and comfortable.
• Staff at front desk was beyond rude!

“Upon check in with my spouse and 3 children the clerk behind the counter never made eye contact or greeted us. Once she gave us our room key and we got to the room it was a single king bed in the room. I immediately called to the front desk to see about getting a room with 2 twins and the same clerk said she was in the middle of something and would be right with me. I asked how long it would take she said 10-15 minutes. I waited 1 1/2 hours and decided just to go to front desk. She had left for day and never told new staff about our problem. That girl and guy got us immediately into another room. At check out we asked to speak to manager to find out why we had been left hanging and was told our Names and number would be left for him since he was not in and he never called us. This completely ruined our day trip to Washington dc. We are extremely disappointed in the service we were given.”

• All of the staff members were friendly, and quite helpful.
• Housekeeping knocked, and called when I had the "privacy please" sign on the door.

“Great place to stay - the rate was good; however, I wish they could work out some kind of deal for at least a reduction in parking prices ($25/night plus tax was the parking fee). Very clean in all areas, nice small gym room, the indoor pool/spa area was very nice as well. They were out of regular non-smoking rooms with king beds, so they put me in a handicapped room. Since my room was for handicapped people, I don't know how it compares with the regular ones, but it was unbelievably spacious (including the bathroom), the floor looked clean enough to eat off of, and the king bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! I wish I could have smuggled that mattress out in my luggage! The only complaint I have is that the housekeeping people knocked on my door to clean the room when I had the "privacy please" sign up. Then they called about 10 minutes later to see when I was going out for the day (I had already been out, went to my business meeting, and returned). They seriously messed up the really good Nap I was taking!”

“The hotel is in a convenient location, at walking distance from the White House and National Mall. It is also close to several restaurants and coffee houses. Also close to the zoo and Georgetown. The rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely furnished.”

• We liked the updated rooms, quality linens and pool/fitness availability.
• We disliked the parking fees, lack of continental breakfast, and the smell of smoke in our bathroom.

“We chose this hotel primarily for its location. We enjoyed being in close proximity to the White House, which is what we were interested in touring. As a young family, we would have enjoyed more family amenities, like a continental breakfast, because we were on the go a lot. However, we enjoyed the high-class linens and the availability of the pool and fitness room. Overall our stay was adequate for the price, although it would have been helpful if parking fees had been included in the price. ”

• Located close to my meetings.
• Staff and room.

“Lights did not work in room, was never fixed or offered to change. Night front desk personnel more interested in talking on phone to girlfriends, etc., making guests wait. Told fresh apples would be available in morning, morning staff said they don't put out apples. Left behind pants, called, told sorry, they couldn't forward.”

• Very professional staff, helpful in every aspect.
• This hotel is in between two subway stations requiring an individual to walk in order to access the subway.

“Situated four blocks from the White House on Embassy Row, this hotel is in an excellent location to tour Washington D.C. Valet service is required but cars are not necessary in D.C. Walk four blocks in two different directions and access the subway to anywhere in the city! Just ask the hotel staff for directions, they are eager to help!”

• The front desk manager went out of his way to make us feel welcome.
• The pool was tiny, but clean.

“Very nice. They room was lovely and had a nice view. This hotel was only a few blocks from a metro and we road safely all over the city. The Hotel restaurant is new and they had not worked everything out with the hotel. The pool is tiny but the work out room is nice. The staff was quick to help and respond to requests.”

• Exceptional staff, excellent location, excellent facility.
• Reservation people over the phone were not helpful.

“The front desk people when I arrived were extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating. They immediately switched me to a room better suited to my needs. A slight bump existed, but Courtyard responded without missing a beat and actually seemed happy to help. Samir Mahalbasic, the primary person at the front desk, deserves recognition for his excellent work.”

• The room was comfortable and well-equipped.
• Not very close to subway stations.

“The staff were very helpful about all my questions and needs. The room was comfortable and was well set up for me to work when I needed to. I like to use public transportation, and I was able to catch the bus or subway without much difficulty. The hotel is within a block of restaurants, and many more within three blocks.”

“Hotel is located in a great location. If you do not have luggage, it is very convenient to the Metro subway, only $1.65 from National Airport. Very helpful staff and it now offers a very substantial free breakfast. Free high speed internet in rooms or a computer is available in lobby bar/restaurant for guests use.”

“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The hotel had 2 1/2 star quality, but truthfully from the way the staff treated me I felt like 5 stars for sure. The rooms were large, but not interpersonal. Even business travelers enjoy a bit of scenery and extra in their overnight stay.”

“Relatively new property. Nice decor (although the art on the walls wasn't all that). Free wired internet access in rooms. Lounge in lobby. Friendly & helpful staff.”
