“The stay there was great, my daughter and I had a great experience.” Oct 17, 2007 by
Diane from Yarmouth Port, MA
“Staff made us feel guilty about having 4 people in one room. Hotel was clean enough no fancy services. Not enough towels, face cloths or pillows for the 4, we had to request and they were brought to us reluctantly.” Oct 11, 2007 by
Ken from Mesa, AZ
“Great location' the room was small, however, adequate for two. The staff could have been more helpful and courteous.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Kent from Dahlonega, GA
“Good location for visiting the downtown sites and conducting business. Friendly staff. However, this was all overshadowed by the mattress cover that was urine and filth stained and left me with a horrible impression of the hotel.” Sep 30, 2007 by
Joe from Brookline, MA
“The hotel is in an excellent location for coming to and from DCA. Other than not having a/c in the room the first night I arrived (in august) it was an acceptable hotel. The big exception was the front desk staff, although friendly, they had no dependable knowledge of the local area. They sent me to no less than three local diners they said would be open for breakfast at 6am (the hotel does not serve breakfast until 6:45). None were open; I ended up finding a star bucks on my own. They were also incapable of calling a cab to pick me up at 6:30; I ended up calling one from my cell and it arrived in 5 minutes. I have no idea what was so difficult about that.” Sep 21, 2007 by
Jon from Urbana, IL
“This hotel was nice. However, the room was small. This is definitely a hotel designed for business travelers. At most, two people can fit comfortably in a room. However, the location was great because there was a metro stop right outside the door.” Sep 20, 2007 by
Amanda from Odessa, TX
“The room was very, very small - no extras here.” Sep 19, 2007 by
Geoff from Depoe Bay, OR
“No frills, clean, lightening and fast room service. Very accommodating staff.” Sep 12, 2007 by
Michael from Greenville, SC
“Hotel was nice. Nothing special. The room was very small. I mean very small. People were nice and friendly. The best part of the room was the shower, real good water pressure, nice after walking all over DC.” Aug 27, 2007 by
Jim from Chapel Hill, NC
“Club Quarters does not meet what I would expect. The rooms and bathroom was very small.” Aug 25, 2007 by
Ranjit from Saratoga, CA
“Overall, we enjoyed our 4-night stay at CQ. Free Internet (and printing) was a major benefit. Staff was friendly and attentive. Location was wonderful with great access to area attractions and downtown. CQ has a good parking arrangement with a nearby garage which is very cost-effective. We traveled as a family (2 adults, 2 kids) and found the rooms rather small, but that was not a major drawback since we spent little time in the rooms. We brought sleeping bags and staff provided extra bedding so a couple of us slept on the carpet. Indoor camping.” Aug 25, 2007 by
Kathy from Webster, MA
“The room was small but clean. There was no iron/ironing board - I had to retrieve it from the closet. I ordered room service & had to wait for more than an hour. The staff was not helpful at all.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Anna from Jackson, MI
“The hotel overall was very nice but small. The beds are very small but comfortable. The rooms are small and the bathroom was small but clean. I liked the lounge area and the computers. I did not like the restaurant food or the wait staff. I was disappointed with my entire dining experience. But, the general staff were great!” Aug 19, 2007 by
Vickie from Cedar Hill, TX
“Very nice hotel and restaurant. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Location is excellent for tourist; within walking distance to major attractions. I felt safe and comfortable. Highly recommend and would return.” Aug 15, 2007 by
John from New York, NY
“It is a fine, comfortable place to stay. I just would not call it a 3-star hotel. At a 2 or 2.5 star rating, it is a very good place.” Aug 14, 2007 by
Bill from Richmond, VA
“Club quarters is a somewhat unusual concept, in that the guests are actually considered members. The rooms are small (at least mine was) but were very clean, and an amazing amount of amenities were packed into that small space; refrigerator, microwave, wide screen TV, nice desk with lots of AC outlets even reference books! The bed was very comfortable. All in all, a great combination of comfort and affordability just two blocks from the white house and right at a metro station!” Aug 13, 2007 by
Clarence from Delmar, NY
“This hotel is conveniently located above a metro stop, and offers a clean, if small room.” Apr 5, 2007 by
Terri from Westminster, CT
“Very convenient to metro rail service and all the sights. Clean and comfortable, with just the right amount of amenities. Although staff is pleasant, they do not expect them to help you get around if it is your first time in DC. However, we would stay there again.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 16, 2006 by

“This is a good place for business and leisure travelers. For me it was particularly good for my work destination. One problem was I could not book rooms directly with them because of their membership orientation. It would have been ideal for me to be able to book three doubles for a meeting I have to be at in November. I had to change my room though because there is construction on the right side of the building. Otherwise it was a good facility.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Oct 16, 2006 by

“A perfect central location with very clean rooms, a comfortable bed and nicely decorated. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 1, 2006 by

“The staff was great and the rooms were very clean. Unfortunately the noise level outside at night was very noisy, but it could have been a freak thing. Other than that, it was great.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 1, 2006 by
Joe from Cedarburg, WI
“Especially compared to other hotels we looked at, the price/performance of this hotel was excellent. Room was very clean, comfortable, and professionally run. Only negative (and it's a small one) is that the restaurant/bar staff seemed to consider waiting on customers to be a nuisance. Other than that, this was an excellent choice.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 25, 2006 by

“Had I been on a business trip, alone, this hotel would have been perfect. No frills, just a small (small, small, clean room w/ a shower. Did I mention it was small?” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 21, 2006 by
Enr from Hempstead, NY
“This hotel was perfect for just a couple or business traveler staying for a few days. It is walking distance to all of the attractions. The restaurants around this area are great. Small room but you don't need that much else.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jul 24, 2006 by
Alan from Sandpoint, ID
“The room is so small that they had to leave out amenities that should be standard. No drawers for socks, no shelves, no luggage stand, no ironing board. On each of five days housekeeping left the room without something important: bath towels, hand towels, coffee. And getting them replaced required multiple calls and visits to the desk.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jul 24, 2006 by
Chris from Hastings On Hudson, NY
“Exceptional location, decent amenities, convenient to golden triangle business district and transportation, cosmopolitan guests, tiny but adequate bar, restaurant.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 24, 2006 by
Moesa from Flint, MI
“The staff was awesome. I forgot my cell phone charger and they allowed me to borrow one for the night. They were also very helpful in giving directions and rates for taxi, etc. The check-in and check-out process was kind of weird, it was sort of like an atm type of machine.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 20, 2006 by

“Small rooms, slow elevators, pleasant staff, free wifi and Internet, close to the Metro and some retail.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 19, 2006 by

“Small rooms, slow elevators, very much like small European hotels. Staff was very pleasant, easy access to the Metro.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 29, 2006 by
Mike from Baltimore, MD
“Good location (near Metro stop), within walking distance of shopping and White House. Great idea for the need to insert room key to get to your floor. The water out of the faucet was always lukewarm, but other than that, it was neat, clean and I would recommend it!” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jun 15, 2006 by

“It was OK for a one night stay, convenient for walking to sightseeing spots, metro, etc.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 6, 2006 by

“The room was the size of my bathroom at home, no tub, no parking, maid never properly stocked room, shampoo was used, when call service desk put on hold , not a good experience at all and was charged for a movie I never saw.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.May 31, 2006 by

“The rooms are too small but decoration is very good. Location is excellence but it is a little bit difficult to find restaurants.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 15, 2006 by

“Despite a depressing decor, this hotel provides a reasonably pleasant experience. The staff are friendly and Cafe Soleil, the affiliated restaurant, offers good if somewhat pricey food. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 24, 2006 by

“Excellent.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Apr 14, 2006 by

“The main things recommending this place are its location and the free wireless internet. If I were coming to D.C. on vacation I would choose a more vacation-oriented place, however. This seems to me strictly a business-traveler hotel. The staff was friendly but not always on-the-ball, and there were some computer snafus at the front desk. The lobby is very small and there are only two elevators, so you can wait a while. The fitness room is small but clean and serviceable.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 11, 2006 by

“I loved this hotel until I checked out, when I was billed an extra for an extra person in the room. According to my reservation, I paid in full for two people to stay in the room. When I checked out, I was billed extra for for my husband! If it wasn't for that, I would give this hotel very high marks. I loved the location, as we were visiting the White House, and the convenient location to the West Farragut Metro was another plus. The room decor was wonderful; contemporary and clean. Yes, the bathroom was small but it worked for us. The one thing the room was missing was a dresser. It had a great desk, as I guess they are catering to the business traveler, but I was there on business, too, and would have enjoyed being able to unpack my suitcase as we were there 3 nights. We didn't see much of the staff except at the front desk as we entered and exited the building. We went into the bar one evening, and it was fine. Bartender was efficient, but not very friendly.” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.Mar 28, 2006 by

“Excellent hotel and location for the solo traveler. Perhaps a little too "close quarters" for couples traveling together (the bathroom could have used more storage area for girly stuff.) However, if you're just looking for a convenient DC base of operations (quick access to major sights or Metro) and a place to sleep I can't imagine a better place.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 13, 2006 by
Daniella from Princeton, NJ
“Great location just 2 blocks from the White House, relatively quiet considering the location. Good for business travelers as has free high speed internet. Only 1 receptionist so check out very slow, although can use machines, breakfast not worth the money, hot food not very hot and overpriced. No lobby area to speak of so not good for meeting colleagues. Room was small but well equipped and great bed.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 5, 2006 by

“Not a bad place to stay. The room was the size of a closet, but it's in a great location. It has no separate shower, it's one of those where the shower is the same floor as the rest of the bathroom - I'm not saying it's bad, just an "interesting" shower experience. Wait until you see the view out the window. But really, it wasn't bad. Did I mention it has a great location?” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 4, 2006 by

“Not everyone will like the compromises made for 2.5 stars small rooms, fewer staff, but I liked the small, intimate size and private lounge. I loved the bistro restauant. Ate there every night, which I never do at a hotel. I loved the free wireless internet and internet in the private lounge with cookies and paper. Felt almost like coming home at the end of the day.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Sep 7, 2005 by

“Great location near White House, but the sidewalks roll up after 7pm. There is no place decent open to eat at night. The rooms are the smallest I have ever seen. Staff is OK, but not overly helpful (if you ask a question they act like they live on the moon, not near DC, although one bellman was helpful). Our room was so tiny 2 twin cots took up the whole room. The bathroom was also very small, in fact you could not sit on the toilet without the counter being in your back. The hotel is very clean, and they even have a lounge on the 3rd floor with free Internet access (although people were always waiting to use the 2 computers). There is also a big screen TV in the club room. I would say the hotel was not that bad, expect but pushed me over the limit as far as not liking it is their restaurant Cafe Solely. We had a lousy breakfast for $30. All we were served was juice, otherwise the staff was absent and we had to find them to get the bill (they were socializing on the other side of the bar). At 10am, the hot dishes were almost empty and the food remaining was cold. The bill was $30, plus they tacked on a 20% service charge! I was tempted to remove the service charge as the waiter did not deserve 20% for his lack of service.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Aug 24, 2005 by

“The Cafe Soliel breakfast bar was extremely over priced for the quality and quantity of the buffet. Also, was charged a 20% gratuity. I prefer to do my own tipping according to service. My coffee was refilled only once and I had to ask for it.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 29, 2005 by

“The location, one block from the White House, is great as well as the fact that it is right at a metro stop. Our room was very small with one full size bed but it did have a desk and a refrigerator, nice touch. Mainly for the single business traveler, it is serviceable for a weekend stay for a couple. The restaurant closes a bit too early at 9:30 for a night on the town. All in all, enjoyable” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 19, 2005 by

“Nice, clean hotel. Safe feel to it. Great location! Only 2 blocks from the White House. Right next to subway pickup. Staff could have been more helpful, but they were not bad.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 15, 2005 by
John from Merced, CA
“Located right above a Metro stop in downtown DC. Good location in a business district, seemed safe even at night. Above average accomodations, clean and comfortable, friendly staff. A bit different from the usual commercial "name brand" hotels, no big lobby or spectacular fountains-sort of a strictly business sort of place, but very comfortable, quiet and clean. A good value !” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
