• The location was convenient.

“The Sheraton Suites is an older hotel. While the rooms have been divided into a living room and a bedroom, the areas are very small, especially when compared to places like the Homewood Suites or the Hilton Garden Inn. The other thing I did not like about this hotel was the continual charging for things like Internet service $10, parking $22 a day, water in the room $3.50 a bottle and so on. Our room was on the second floor near the pool so to make matters worse she could smell the chlorine from the room.”

• The room setup.
• Front desk clerk was not knowledgeable about the area and the parking fee of $22 was absurd.

“This hotel was beautiful and we all loved the way they were set up with the couch and chair and TV and the bedroom closed off by French doors. The kids just loved the pool and jacuzzi. I would stay here at this hotel again with children.”

• The hotel was very clean and classy and the room was well decorated and very comfortable.
• The employee who checked me into the hotel was condescending and rude.

“Overall, pleased with the appearance of the hotel. Parking was as issue, however, and there was an additional fee to use the garage. The person who checked me in to the hotel seemed unprofessional, incompetent and / or distracted. This treatment made me regret having to stay there.”

“We were in town for a Christening. The Sheraton suites was in a great location for us. We liked having a parking garage. The pool/hot tub was a nice plus! Liked the king-size bed with French doors to the living area.”

• Easy check out.
• Smells. Charge for everything even water. Poorly lit rooms. Small spaces.

“Hotel smells bad. Rooms are small for suites. Bathroom poorly lit, no ventilation. Charge for things such as bottled water in room and decaf coffee for coffee maker. Parking garage was like an oven and so was elevator to the garage. No conveniences close by. Lower priced hotels are just as nice or nicer. If I had paid full price I would have been extremely unhappy. Would not recommend ... and I am not one to complain.”

• Hotel/rooms were shabby and worn out.

“Priceline star ratings are way off. This hotel is a 2 star masquerading as a 3.5 star. The Sheraton is in a good location, if you like Old Town, but the hotel itself is worn out and shabby. Had dinner in the restaurant, we were the only customers in there. Still took over an hour, and all we had were sandwiches and pizza. Front desk staff was friendly.”

“This is a high quality hotel in the heart of Crystal City near the Reagan Nat Airport. The staff is above reproach and welcomed me in like extended family. They also provided excellent advise on where to eat and how to best enjoy the capitol city.”

• Loved the set up of having a suite. Hotel was very comfortable and clean and a great bargain through Priceline!
• It was a little far from the main area of town which we would have liked to be in.

“This was a fantastic, comfortable, clean hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and did not treat us like bargain shoppers even though we got a great deal through Priceline! The layout of the suite was perfect for traveling with children because one area was set up for our child and my husband and I could comfortably watch
TV in our own bedroom.”

• In room internet costs $10/day and was extremely slow, barely useable at times.

“Spacious, very comfortable. Fancy enough. Good coffee in the room. King size bed with down comforters and pillows. Two TVs, living area, kitchenette. Trader Joes one block away. Old (and good) diner across the street. 1/2 mile to business district with tons of restaurants and shopping.”

“The kitchen closed a little early, but the staff was extremely friendly. When we were in the bar and they closed the kitchen, the bartender told us where to order a pizza and we ate it in the bar. Excellent place.”

• Very expensive to park.

“Rooms are very large and fit my family of four, with two cribs, very well. For the first time in our travels, two cribs were waiting for us in the room. Usually takes several phone calls to make that happen. Free Internet service in the lobby and airport/metro shuttle are great. Very close to Old Town (six to eight blocks). Refrigerator and microwave in room are nice for traveling with kids. Highly recommend this hotel.”

• It's the first hotel that had pet amenities to put in the room. They were very friendly towards us with my dog. The restaurant was accommodating.

“The room was very attractively arranged with great use of space and modern equipment with HD TV in both living and bedrooms. It's near to King Street for convenience of Old Town, but far enough away to be quiet. The hotel staff is very friendly. Would love to stay there again.”

• There was little noise during the night and slept well.
• The kids had to sleep on a pullout that was not comfortable.

“Overall, the stay was fine even though we were not at the hotel much. We were site seeing. The kids were very uncomfortable on the pullout couch. The king bed was very comfortable and the room the king bed was in was very quiet. The room was very clean and the hotel was nice. The pool area closed sooner than the time that was on the schedule which was upsetting considering the kids were looking forward to swimming after a day in Washington DC. The shuttle bus driver was AWESOME.”

• We had to have the toilet worked on twice and it still leaked after.

“The beds felt like we were sleeping on a cloud. The pool and hot tub were relaxing after walking all day. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, there were bottle caps under the chair. The toilet wouldn't flush, they came immediately to fix it, then it kept running, they again came right after we called, the toilet then kept leaking, but we just decided to deal with it, since that was the worst thing in our room.”

• Very friendly staffs (house keeper, bar staff and bellman). Front desk clerk was not so.
• The front desk personal were talking personal matters while we stood there to check in.

“When we arrived at the hotel, there was no customer in line. There were three front desk clerk and we stood for 5 minutes before one of them ask if we needed help. I thought that was very poor customer service.”

• Nearly everything is a considerable extra charge. $10 for internet, $4 for room's bottled water, $12 for movie, etc.

“The first room I was given was not as clean as it could have been and was next to the ice machine. A Calif King in one room, a double pull out sofa in a separate room, and the bathroom connecting to both (as well as a wet-bar in the sitting room). For a wedding. Just enough space, room to lounge around, and everyone were comfortable! Staff was very kind, though sometimes hard to comprehend (accents). Free shuttle runs to airport and main Metro stations. Hotel is a 7-10 block walk from interesting parts of Alexandria. Not too far, and a nice walk along the river. Overall enjoyable!”

“This was a fantastic hotel, just across the bridge in VA with easy access to all DC sights. It had TWO flat panel TVs in each room and everything was luxurious. My relatives could not say enough about how nice it was.”
