• Snack bar, great breakfast, clean, friendly.
• No pool.

“I brought my 2 kids to vacation in D.C. This hotel served so many needs. It was very clean, had an incredible variety for breakfast, which is no charge. They also have great people shuttling you to and from the hotel and Metro. Be sure to call them when you need a ride. Another great amenity is a 24 hour free snack area, which includes juices, coffee, chips, snack bars, ice cream treats and many more items. It is so great when you have kids who are hungry at all hours. Just a note: The Metro is easy to use, but look for the short cuts--use the yellow line if possible, not just the blue. Also, look at the hours the Subway is discounted---after 9:30 and before 3 and after 7. If you are using the Metro then--it's cheaper. If I was to ever visit D.C again, I would stay here again. It was great.”

• Reasonably close to old town Alexandria.

“I chose it because of those in the area we wanted to visit; it was the only one to specify in the room availability, the smoking preference. I don't know if that meant that the others with availability did not have non smoking rooms available but I did not want to risk ending up in a smoking room.”

• Free transportation from airport, dinner, & destination next day.
• Nothing.

• Fairly decent breakfast, clean walking distance to stores and downtown.
• Spa was out of service, staff seemed uninterested in fixing it.

“This hotel is close to downtown Alexandria, easy access to freeway to DC and outlying areas. Be sure to ask ahead for a king-sized bed if you want it. Rooms were well cleaned everyday. Newspapers on hand, maps available. We have stayed here before and staff were more attentive the first time.”
