• Nice clean rooms.
• Not most convenient location.

“We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Rooms and facility were very clean and nicely appointed. Not within walking distance to much though, you need to walk 5 blocks or more to metro, and this is hard with smaller children. But wonderful and friendly staff! Would stay here again.”

• The room was tiny, it held a double bed not queen as they said and there was no walking space around bed.

“It seems that the 4th floor is allocated and lacks the amenities of the rest of the rooms, no refrigerators on this floor as well as size of rooms are compromised.”

“I was excited to get a 4 star hotel is a location fairly close to the metro in Downtown DC. Entering the room was disappointing. It was a very small room, small bathroom, no microwave or refrigerator, and definitely not a standard room for the hotel.”

• Rooms and location.

“The first room they put us in was extremely small. Queen bed with barely room to move around. We complained and they moved us. The lobby floors need to be redone. The location was suppose to be in Georgetown but was a good mile away. It was at best a 3.5 star.”

• The staff was professional, pleasant and very helpful.
• The rooms were extremely small and I wish it was closer to a metro stop.

“The staff was very professional and accommodating. The rooms were clean. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the flat screen TV. However, the rooms were extremely small. As a paying guest of the hotel I didn't like to have to pay for internet access, especially when anyone off the street could get it for free downstairs in the lobby. As with most hotel restaurants, the food was a little above average but was very overpriced. Overall, we would stay there again due to the great staff, very clean rooms and common areas and the seeming safety of the area.”

• They went out of their way to find a nearby theater.

“This is a great location nearby Dupont Circle, Foggy Bottom, Georgetown, the White House and the Smithsonian and the Monuments. We appreciated the very nice clean and quiet room for a great price in DC.”

• They overcharged me for parking and I had to contest the charge upon seeing my statement.

• The bathroom was very nice.
• I did not like that there was not a refrigerator in the room.

“The reviews I read for this hotel stated that the rooms were very small. I beg to disagree. I believe the hotel room size was adequate for being in a Metro city. The room layout allowed for the maximum use of the space. The room decorations were simple but modern. The bathroom was very nice, but small. I have no complaints really.”

• Great price, spacious room, friendly staff, great location.
• No pool, charging for WiFi is absurd - $13/day? No thanks.

“I had read reviews that rooms are on the small side, but the gentleman at the desk upgraded us to an executive room which, as it turned out, was one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. We were traveling with our 2 year old and the hotel provided us with a cot as I had forgotten ours - very family friendly staff! Beautiful bathroom, comfy bed, nice view - clean hotel, great location - couldn't be happier! Thanks Priceline!”

• Very comfortable bed, good restaurants, pleasant servers excellent internet access.
• Parking cost 35.00 per day extra, no access to car without valet, long wait to get car, room was a bit small, but very nice.

“Nice hotel, centrally located, near some great D.C. restaurants. Elevators worked great and were always available. Better for business than for pleasure. Mellow staff made my trip to visit my son at college very pleasant. Also close to most of the sites.”

• The hotel is attractively appointed and in a great location.
• The room was small and the ventilation wasn't working properly.

“The Renaissance is an upscale hotel, which has been recently renovated. The room, although small, was nicely appointed and the public spaces are also attractive. Negatives were the air conditioning problems in our room and a large buffet breakfast that was only mediocre. Another negative was the $35 valet fee to park our car.”

• The hotel had a fresh design, and was very clean and comfortable.
• I did not like that you had to pay $35. per day for parking. The walls were thin, making it easy to overhear loud guests.

• Rooms were not large yet designed in a way that made them very functional for the space you have.
• No room service after 11pm but the front desk did find us a sub shop nearby that delivered.

• The sound on our television didn't work. We didn't complain because we had just wanted the weather and could read it.

• The lobby was attractive and the staff friendly.
• The rooms were tiny and our keys kept getting de-magnetized - requiring a trip to the front desk to get into our rooms.

“It wasn't bad - No free coffee in the lobby as they have in many hotels and stingy with the packages of coffee for in room coffee maker. The bathrooms had no fans so got very steamed up. Also no pool on-site they said there was one off site but we didn't go.”

• Friendliness of staff, service, accuracy of things staff was saying.

“It was a bad experience which I wouldn't expect from a Renaissance hotel. I called the hotel prior to arrival and asked for a roll-away bed (for the kids). I was told that there is no problem. Then, when I arrived I asked whether the bed is in the room - they said it should arrive at any time. After waiting for the extra bed, I called the front desk - and then they told me that there are not roll-away beds.”

• The location was great to GWU. The staff was very friendly and the hotel provided for all of my family's needs!

“I would definitely recommend the Renaissance M hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the lobby is always bustling with people enjoying the lobby bar and restaurant as well as the coffee shop connected to the hotel. Members of my traveling group also commented on how there was never a wait for the elevators. The hotel staff was always friendly and willing to help as needed.”
