• It has great location.

“Perfect location with excellent access to Alexandra and Washington. Hotel food was very good; plenty of surrounding offerings as well. Rooms were well maintained and appointed.”

• Extremely comfortable, clean room. Good city-scape view. Great meeting room services.
• Took a couple hours to get a crib and fridge delivered to our room after several phone calls to the front desk.

“We stayed for one night with our 16 month old daughter. Room was fantastic. Perfect really for the business traveler. Clean, very comfortable. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Parking was self-park and $18 a day in the lot under the hotel. Would definitely consider staying again.”

• Surprising charges for internet access, parking, expensive meals.

“We had a very nice time; room was in good shape and well cared for. However, I was disappointed in the $10 daily charge for internet access. They had a very nice system for using the big flat screen TV as a computer monitor for presentations - that did not work properly, or at least with no instructions I could not make it work. Also upon leaving I was informed (for the first time) that there would be an $18 per day parking charge. So good room, nice staff, overpriced and lots of nickel and dime charges as well.”

“The hotel's location is excellent for DC access due to a Subway station that you can access through the hotel's bottom floor. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and even served ice cream in the hot afternoon. I will definitely try to stay at this hotel again rather in DC for business or pleasure!”

• Room was spacious with nice furnishings, refrigerator as requested, location great.
• Limited breakfast selections, shuttle to airport didn't run after 11:00 pm.

“Absolutely the best location for using the metro to tour D.C. With tunnel to metro. The room was spacious with nice furnishings, room was quiet, staff was considerate, and refrigerator was presented as requested in telephone call to hotel. Limited breakfast options as breakfast buffet was $14.00 but adequate quality. Would most definitely return!”

“The Crystal City Marriott was a so-so business hotel. The room was small, but the bed was quite comfortable. Internet access was available for $9.95 a day, which is outrageous. If you have a large SUV, beware -- the garage has several sections with clearances of 6' or less!”

• We were put on a concierge floor - nice!
• Concierge lounge is closed on the weekends - no free breakfast or cocktails.

“Very nice hotel, easy access to crystal city metro to anywhere you want to go. Nice rooms, friendly staff, nice pool and exercise club. Good restaurants nearby.”

• Fabulous beds, nice room. Great pool, open until 11 p.m.! They even had spare goggles for my kids. They gave great bath body beyond shampoo/soaps. Staff is friendly.
• The bathroom shower pressure was great, but there was not a fan so the bathroom got very steamy/hot and the floor also got slick from the steam.

“I would recommend this hotel. This was a very nice hotel for the price. It has 3+ star; no problem. Cute arched pool and warm hot tub. Plenty of room for swimmers and a nice 2 1/2 foot deep area for my 4 year old with over 8+ feet deep areas for my older kids. Work out area had small bottled waters and fruit available. The check-in people were very friendly. They gave us two non-smoking, double bed rooms, connecting as we requested. They were very accommodating. The beds were great, very comfortable. They provided mini bottles of bath body and beyond aromatherapy shampoo/conditioner/body lotion in the bathrooms. Much better than the generic cheap stuff many other hotels offer. Great location; it takes just minutes from the Reagan International airport. There is easy access to parking under the hotel. Costs $18/day, but that is reasonable for the area. There is free shuttle to/from the airport which we used when leaving. It was quick and easy. Best of the three hotels we stayed at during our two weeks traveling. We also stayed at the Hilton just down the block for the initial night of our trip. This hotel (our final hotel of our trip) was much better and only a few dollars more. I would pick this hotel over the Hilton.”

“Location! Location! Location! The metro stop was just under the hotel, it was very close to all of the major interstates, and very easy to get to! All of the staff was very helpful and friendly and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.”

• The need for hypoallergenic pillows (maybe).

“From the second we checked in the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. This hotel was central to all of the sights of Washington DC, but far enough to be away from the hub-bob. The hotel was very close to the Metro-rail, which helped with touring the city. Overall, a great experience!”

• The service was great , anything you needed you received quickly. The people who worked in the hotel were extremely friendly.
• The price for parking in the hotel garage, seems a bit much when your renting a room from them.

• The pool was very nice.
• You can not bring alcohol from bar to room and you have to walk past the dining room to go to the pool/work out room.

“We are a family of four. We spent a small amount of time actually in the hotel, but when we did it was very nice. The indoor pool/spa was a hit with everyone, especially after walking all over D.C.”

• The proximity of the metro station was outstanding, as well as the comfort of the rooms.
• The only thing I did not like was having to pass by the dining area to get to the pool area.

“The private rooms and public areas of the Marriott Crystal City were spotless and the staff was probably the friendliest and happiest I've ever dealt with at any hotel or any other business. Their pool area was very nice and had extremely convenient hours. The beds were the most comfortable that I've ever slept in, which made us well-rested for our sightseeing around the museums and monuments in the city and the room service food was delicious, served promptly and not outrageously expensive. Having the Crystal City shops and metro within such short distance were big bonuses, because our children could not possibly find any way to become bored. There were even video games they could play on the TV in the room. We plan to stay here again every time we come to Washington, DC.”

“I enjoyed my stay at the Marriott Crystal City. The room was very spacious for the 3 of us and convenient to the Metro so we could come and go to D.C. very conveniently. Also the parking at the hotel $14 was good for 2 days, a bargain for the East Coast. I would definitely stay there again if my travels take me nearby.”

“The Crystal City Marriot in Arlington, VA was up to our standards! The room was large and luxurious! The amenities provided were as expected. Thank you! The one thing we were slightly confused by: there is another Marriott (the Crystal Gateway) around the corner from the hotel we stayed at- it took us awhile to find the right hotel. What's the difference anyway?! Thanks again for providing us an affordable hotel room in a great three star hotel!”
