- The layout of the room was excellent!
- The restaurants had limited and expensive menus. Gift store very expensive!
“I choose this hotel because of it's proximity to the Metro station into DC; as well as the courtesy shuttle available. From the instant I arrived the hotel staff was friendly and courteous! Both the lower and upper lobbies were well appointed and comfortable! I was thoroughly impressed with the guest room! The room was more like a suite. Walking into the room you entered into a living room type area with a sofa, TV and desk amenities. A small hallway led to the second area that included another TV and an ultra comfy bed. After a day long jaunt around DC the living quarters were a welcome site! Relaxing on the sofa was a nice feature to unwind on before going to bed. The only thing that I would have liked different was the prices of both the food in the restaurant and the items at the guest store. However, this might not be a hotel feature, but an area feature as all the stores in the area were expensive for food and basic items! Lesson learned that be sure to pack toiletries and if you must buy stuff of that nature as well soda and snacks there is a Rite Aid pharmacy in the Crystal city shops which is just 1 stop away on the Metro Blue Line.”

- Convenience to the Metro.
- Awful staff and awful restaurants.
“The staff lost our reservations, then after finding them, attempted to check us out of the room after one night of a two night stay, the staff was extremely rude, the restaurant/bar (the revolving rooftop) was horrible. Nothing good except location, and that wasn't great - the shuttle was good when it was one time, useless when it wasn't.”

- All staff was exceptionally friendly and hellpful. Large rooms and cleanliness.
- Prices and limited dining choices.
“The hotel was clean and all staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. All questions were answered quickly. The woman that worked in the consier service went out of her way to ensure that we were able to see all the sights. My husband is in a wheelchair that the bus service couldn't accommodate, so she found a driver who was willing to take us, as needed, to the places we wished to see.”

- Location, indoor pool, shuttle service to and from airport and metro.
- Pool hours should be increased due to the limited capacity of swimmers.
“The hotel location was very convenient, staff was friendly, some spots were missed by the cleaning staff in the room, such as a chewed gum stuck on the closet shelf. This gum was there prior to our arrival, we tried to remove it without success. The comfortable beds were a highlight of our trip.”

- Good location.
- $21.00 parking fee.
“Excellent except for parking fee. Priceline should let people know if there will be an additional charge for parking or other things before being surprised upon check in. Surprise parking fees have been common with the many times we have used Priceline. In addition, The Palm resort hotel in Kissimee, that we used in March added a surprise $ 7.00 resort fee after we arrived.”

- It was a bit of a walk to where I needed to go.
“The Doubletree is a fine hotel and certainly an excellent. If you need to get to Pentagon City it is very convenient, but if you need to get to Crystal City (which was my destination during the weekend) then enjoy the walk for it is a bit long for most people. I didn't mind it too much.”

- Location in distance from the airport and downtown.
- The a la cart refrigerator, micorwave and internet servcie.
“The hotel is an older holtel that you can tell has gone through renevations.
The decor is pleasing. The location is ideal for torist travelers of Washington DC however there is no walking sights to see close to the hotel and the subway is dificult to walk to from the hotel. I would go back for a conference but I would not come back for pleasure I would like the hotle to have more ambiance.”

- The convenience of the location. A taxi to the city was cheap.
- Staff, two towers, parking, Sky dome Restaurant, price too high for quality of room and staff!
“The room was comfortable. Staff was ghetto and not accommodating. I needed advice on a place to take my friends and they said they couldn't help. The two towers were too confusing coming from the parking lot and up to the room. I spent more time walking around to get from point A to point B. Valet lied to me, said they only offered valet parking when there is self parking (come to find out). This hotel was not relaxing. It was a hassle for everything. Even our keys didn't work the first go round to the hotel room.”

- The proximity to the metro and the shuttle service were great.
- Parking was outrageous for hourly visitors.
“The doubletree was convenient to the airport and to the metro rail system which allowed me to travel all over the DC metro area. The room was a little small but very neat and clean. The bed was fantastic. The only complaint was the parking. If someone wanted to visit and have dinner in the hotel parking was between $9 per half hour up to $25. Also there were very few places to park on the street near the hotel. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and I loved the cookies at check-in.”

- View was great! So was overall service.
- Pool closed too early (9 PM); Parking was expensive ($19).
“Arrived with a 17-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son, who both appreciated the cookies! Upon check-in I requested a roll-away for my son. It arrived soon after we got to our room - impressive! Room service was speedy too, though, as is typical in a hotel, the food was pricey. Pool was a plus, though the hours were a bit short. Would like to have had it open a bit longer after a long day of driving from North Carolina. Pool guards wouldn't let my son jump in the pool, even the deep end. They were a bit too strict - and I am very careful around pools! The plus is that the hotel actually had pool guards (I think that's state law in Virginia, though). Loved the end room, which was quiet and had a great view of the Pentagon, the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial. Quiet atmosphere provided for a good night's sleep. Overall, a wonderful experience.”

“This hotel was very convenient to airport and shopping mall. You can get to the shopping area just as fast by walking as you can with the shuttle, though, just ask about the shortcut. The beds were very comfortable and had three restful nights. Check-in and out was very easy. My only complaint is that parking was chargeable, which seems pricey, but not too bad for the area. We brought our bicycles and kept them in our room, and the hotel was convenient to bike trails.”

“The Doubletree was fabulous. Many airlines house their pilots there. One pilot said that he had been staying there for 20 years and it was always clean, friendly, and well kept. When I return to Washington, I will definitely stay at this particular hotel again. Loved the warm cookies at check-in. Food, service, and accommodations could not have been better.”

- Location was great, only a couple of blocks from the nearest metro.
- Showers were not tall enough (I'm 6'7" and showers are too small as well).
“Very nice hotel (good size rooms). It could use the flat panel TV's in the rooms and also allow free Wi-Fi in the rooms as well (11.95 per day is too much). Also a list of places to eat near the hotel would be helpful that are walking distance and also has delivery to the hotel as well.”

- We were initially placed in a room where the air conditioner didn't work, then they sent someone to fix it and finally changed rooms.
“It was a nice hotel. As polite as the staff was, they were a bit slow to resolve the air conditioning problem. They were quick to respond by sending someone up but should have just moved us instead of making us wait for someone to try to fix it.”

“Arlington, VA is amazing! I love this place. My girlfriends and I took a vacation to visit Washington D.C. and we stayed at this hotel. It is really close to almost every monument in Washington D.C. Like the Pentagon, the Capital, the White House, etc. The Arlington National Cemetery was quite a sight to see! Back to the hotel: the accommodations are really nice, and spacious with free internet access! They have a great fitness center, very cozy, where we worked out for an hour or so. I thought that their indoor heated pool was really cool, as pools usually are outdoors. It was relaxing to take a dip in the night. The staff was friendly; in check-in and checking-out. Big attraction: They have 2 on-site restaurants on the top floors, Windows Over Washington, and the Skydome Lounge. Very upscale dining and an amazing view as you overlook Washington D.C. area. I would love to stay here again sometime!”

“Terrible experience. The room we were allocated was allocated for another guest. We were waked up in the night twice in two nights, the door were knocked. It was horrible experience. - There are two couches in the room. Generally other hotels provide only one.
- In my case, the view was not that good.

- The room we stayed in had a sitting room with its own TV and then the bedroom with another. Perfect for a family.
- We paid $20 a day for parking at their hotel.

- The shuttle to the airport and the Metro was quick, efficient and timely.
- Lots of school kids messing around and misbehaving in the lobby and on the elevators on Sunday.

“We got to the hotel and the receptionist refused to give me and my wife a one bed room. Me and my wife ended up sleeping on two different beds, on our anniversary! It completely ruined the whole night.”

- Location was very convenient to Downtown D.C.
- A convention involving many children.
“The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, and there were more than enough clean towels! Highly recommendable to anyone traveling to the D.C. area, but not wanting to stay Downtown.”

- I liked the view from our window & it was comfortable & quiet.
- The water glasses in the room didn't look clean.
