“The property is very well maintained, and the room was beautiful. The sleep number bed is a plus, too. I slept like a baby. I highly recommend this hotel.”

• Clean and fairly spacious rooms. Great location near public transportation and close to attractions.
• Room had sleep number bed, but motor was broken for 1/2 of the bed and could not be adjusted.

“The service was friendly. Rooms had plenty of storage and a desk, good for business travelers. All rooms had internet connection.”

• $20/day parking charge for suburban location.

“A very nice hotel conveniently located in the Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington. Within short walking distance of the metro, numerous local restaurants, and the underground city across the street. Pool is small but clean. Good thing to bring the kids to after a day of doing the tourist thing in the hot DC summer sun. Free coffee to all guests in the lobby (pretty good quality too) on weekdays but for some reason not on Saturday & Sunday. For some reason this hotel charges guests $20/day to park in a suburban location, in their covered parking garage.”

• The hotel was very nice looking and the beds were fantastic (sleep).
• Some of the staff weren't as nice and helpful as I would have liked.

“Pro's The hotel was extremely nice looking: the beds were extremely comfortable, there was a fridge/microwave, overall the room and lobby was great. Con's I do wish the pool had been a little deeper only 5 feet deep at the deepest part. My one big problem with the hotel was the staff. When we first got there they offered to take our bags up to our room and 3 hours later they still hadn't arrived. I called down to find out where they were and they lost them! They did find them again but its just the principle of the thing. Some of the staff were much less then satisfactory, but others were really nice.”

• Location.
• Beds were awful, room too small for two double beds, need refurbishing.

“Very convenient location to DC and environs. Very close to Metro, shopping, eating. But rooms are dated, not especially clean. Towels are a little threadbare (like entire hotel). Staff is friendly but sometimes has trouble communicating. If location is everything, and you get a very good deal on the price of hotel, this is a good choice. Otherwise, look elsewhere, you can do much better.”

• The staff were really nice and friendly.
• Nothing.

“The people at the front desk were very courteous and helpful. The wait staff in the restaurant were also. I felt very comfortable in all aspects of my stay. The hotel was clean and my room was quiet and clean.”

• Great price, close/easy to Metro, helpful staff.
• Bathroom door was broken. Parking a bit pricy.

“Couldn't have a better hotel for the price. Two blocks to the metro and $1.35 and a few minutes and I was in DC. Very nice and clean, friendly staff. Room was just a little above standard. Not too happy that the bathroom door wouldn't latch.”

• Pleasant environment, central located and cozy bed.
• General cleanliness is ok, but equipments such as coffee maker and microwave are not that clean.

“The hotel is within 5-minute walk from Crystal City Metro Station and about 20-minute from Pentagon City Mall. Nice neighborhood to go for a jog too. The hotel room is generally clean and cozy. Gym facilities are ok except that during my period of stay, the treadmill machines weren't functioning properly. Overall, the 5-night stay was very pleasant.”

• Location was great. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

“Our stay was very nice. It would have been helpful if they would have had small metro maps available in the lobby. When we checked in, the front desk said the breakfast was served until 11 a.m. and did not mention a price. Having stayed at a Radisson the weekend before that had a free breakfast, we went to the restaurant on our last morning for what we thought was a free, quick bite. We each grabbed a bagel and got our own juice. There was virtually no wait-staff visible. After we ate, a server appeared and gave us a bill for $28.00. Needless to say we would have walked a block to Dunkin' Donuts and eaten much cheaper. However, this was a great place, with a great location and great rooms. I will definitely stay again. Just be alert about the breakfast!”

• The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
• The fitness room is outdated.

“The overall experience of this hotel was good. The staff was curteous and helpful. The $18 a day parking fee was outlandish. The food was a little bland, but the waffle/omelet bar was nice. The treadmills needed to be calibrated very badly. The pool looked nice, but was empty when I attended. I would stay there again.”

“The staff at this hotel are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The sleep number beds are preferable to those in most hotels because the firmness can be adjusted to accommodate individual preferences. The room was just a bit small to facilitate easy access to items packed in larger luggage pieces.”

“I arrived very late at 1am. I was in my room within 10 minutes of my arrival. There are many places open in the wee hours to eat or night life. At the same token it is very quiet and great for anyone on business. A very convenient location.”

“We went to the zoo via the DC Metro, a three block walk to the Metro. It was a good value and our grandsons (1 and 3) first stay in a hotel. The staff was very professional and helpful. The food in the restaurant was better than expected. The rooms were very nice, the sleep number beds were a little weird to get used to but ok.”

• It was clean and convenient to DCA.
• They lie that they have a Metro shuttle.

“I picked the Radisson because it offered a Metro shuttle and was one stop from the airport. So I arrive at Crystal City Metro stop mid afternoon and call and they say it is coming. 15 minutes later I call and they say it is coming. 15 minutes later they just put me on hold and didn't pick up again. I finally found where it was and walked to the hotel. The desk staff could have cared less. There are lots of other good choices at the airport.”

“Very conveniently located, a 2-block walk from a Metro station. The hotel is as good as most I have used on business travel. There were a couple of tiny problems, like the closet door being off the track, but I'd definitely stay there again. The only disappointment was the food - a room service meal arrived cold, and the complimentary coffee service ran out pretty early. All in all, a great value.”

• It was close to the metro.
• It posted that it had breakfast it did not. It had double beds.

“I was very disappointed with this hotel. It did not have a breakfast as suggested earlier and the beds were double beds. We did enjoy the pool but did not appreciate that they made it a smoking area as well even though there were signs all over hotel saying it was a non smoking facility so they made it where all of the children and Adults want to relax.”

• It was older and the people staying there seemed a little strange and noisy.

“I think the walls were a little thin because it was noisy both times we stayed there. There was a lot of loud talking during the night. Other wise it was fairly clean and the beds were really comfortable and made up for a little of the noise. The bathrooms were a little small but good condition and clean. This was a no smoking hotel and the rooms smelled good. Not with perfume but just a clean smell. I would stay there again because it was overall very nice.”

“Upon arriving at the airport I called for the shuttle and within minutes it had arrived. The driver was very friendly and we were able to strike up a conversation. Since time was not permitting and since our shuttle driver had a day off the next day and drove a taxi on his day off he agreed to take us on a short tour of the city and still get us to the Union station for our departure.”

• Staff were helpful and made a point to talk to guests.
• Room service napkin still on floor outside room a day later.

“The hotel staff were efficient and accommodating. The facilities were pleasant and I liked the fact that internet was included in the room charge. Parking was a bit on the expensive side ($19) for guests, and there was no convenient way to get from the parking lot to the hotel with luggage. Location was very good for where I needed to go for business.”

• Old and dingy feeling. Felt like renovations were 15 years old.

“Not recommended for families. Business or couples, fine. Halls were not well lit and rooms was very narrow, value hotels, I.e. Hampton or Fairfield. Children didn't feel comfortable due to aged smell and crowdedness of rooms.”

• The beds and the lack of mirrors.

“We wish that would have had a traditional bed. The sleep number bed was very uncomfortable. It was our first experience with one and it will be our last. The lack of mirrors may seem small. But, normally I use the bathroom first; then my husband. While he is using the bathroom I use the second mirror in the room to put on my make-up and comb my hair. Needless to say, I couldn't do that this time.”

• Good access to mass transit and local rest.
• Very poor service in their food service.

“First, was checked into a room already occupied. This was quickly fixed. Second room very clean. Close to shopping and a variety of food operations. Most staff was very helpful and eager to help, except in their rest. Speed and customer attention is not their strong suit. Mass transit was within walking distance for easy access to sites downtown and surrounding areas. Would stay there again, suggest it to a friend, as long as you eat elsewhere.”

• Loved the Sleep Number beds!
• We were on the floor where the pool was, so there was a lot of traffic in the hall.

“This hotel is located in a great area in Crystal City, with many restaurants nearby, plus a 7-11 and a CVS. The room was spacious and well-appointed, and it had a microwave and a fridge with a freezer, which was nice. The room was spotless, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again!”

• The hotel staff was very accommodating with all requests. From the hotel parking to replacing the television in the room.
• They didn't seem to appreciate the children's playing around.

“I and my family really enjoyed this hotel. It was conveniently located to the Metro transit line and restaurants. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to another visit to the Washington, DC area. I would highly recommend this hotel to another group. One maybe with not so many children as we had-8 in total.”

“The hotel was what I expected, very clean and friendly staff; however I did not expect to pay $18.00 for parking. I wish this was included in the room rate up front, or at least a warning. I would have gladly stayed at another hotel had I known about this charge.”

“I have stayed there about 4 times, it is just a little walk to The Underground (groceries,restaurants,misc.) and the CRYSTAL CITY METRO. Free parking, take THE METRO everywhere in the DC area. We ALWAYS stay there, convenient, good rate, free parking, great restaurants within walking distance.”
