“Other than the late night concert that could easily be heard on the 5th floor, the hotel was in a great location to walk to Metro or a number of restaurants. Very clean and nicely appointed rooms. Very friendly staff.” Sep 19, 2007 by
Charles from Fairfax, VA
“Nice hotel but difficult to locate in crystal city. Awkward/Narrow driveway and entrance/exit to hotel garage. Garage was not crowded but space was tight. Parking was expensive but in/out privileges is allowed. Process of paying for and getting a parking pass was awkward. Rooms are nice and clean. Our room included a small fridge. Bathroom was nice but seemed dated and somewhat worn. Beds were nice, clean, and comfortable. Door to room was hard to open - had to try key several times before we could get in. Common areas of the hotel seemed nice. We did not go to the hotel bar or restaurant.” Jun 1, 2007 by

“The hotel is every good at this price.” May 31, 2007 by

“The hotel is okay for a stay if you are staying over the week end (couple of days) , the reception didn't look welcoming at all . The AC at the hotel was pathetic even a 2 star hotel is far better. The elevators were not working most of the time and had to wait for a long time. The parking is not free and they charge 15$ per night for parking. If you are getting your own car please be ready for paying 15 per night for parking. Also there is smoke filled in the walkway outside the room so it is irritating if you are with your family, this is despite the fact that all the rooms in the corridor were non smoking.” Dec 11, 2006 by

“Needs bigger conference rooms.” May 25, 2006 by

“This hotel is located next to ground zero (WTC). It costs $50 for parking overnight. The hotel itself was well kept however I really don't think I would use them again. The bed was uncomfortable and they only had 2 pillows that were rather worn out. I woke up with a back and neck ache. I do have to say that the staff was great and rather helpful.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 9, 2006 by

“The hotel is at an excellent location where is half-block from Metro. After get on the Metro, it's 15 minutes ride to Convention Center and the Mall. Unfortunately, the hotel lobby is filled with smoke because people at the bar, which is at the lobby, smoked continuously. The ventilation doesn't seem to work well. The carpet in the room is very old and dirty. Wall paper at the bathroom is peeling off. Tap water has a metal taste and the ice machine was not working at all. If it's not the location, I would not pay so much for this hotel.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Sep 29, 2005 by

“Close walking distance to Metro train stations. Good size room and cleanliness. Equally impressing was that I was able to stay in this hotel at a unbeatable price.” Aug 27, 2005 by
Jack from Richmond, VA
“Good location and check out was speedy. This hotel held up to all prior communications I had and I would like to see rates that would allow park and fly for clients at a prefered rate.” Aug 25, 2005 by
Jonathan from Dallas, TX
“Like the bed alot. Since it is part of Westin, so it looks like westin, but no there yet.” Aug 23, 2005 by
Mike from Allendale, MI
“Enjoyed the stay. Would stay here again. ” Aug 23, 2005 by
Kristine from Baton Rouge, LA
“Overall, looking back the hotel was nice. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport and you can use the shuttle to go shopping or dine near the area, both which I did not know until I was checking out and had already paid cab far several times! The elevator felt as though it was not air conditioned and it was very slow. The room was clean and spacious, it had all the amenities; but it did not seem to get cool enough. On a few different occassions my room key did not work and I had to go all the way back down to the front desk to fix it.” Aug 18, 2005 by
Jason from Plano, TX
“This hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious and contained ample amenities. The staff was helpful and friendly, though the concierge didn't have a great knowledge of the area or communicate effectively. It's location was perfect, only a block from the Metro station.” Aug 5, 2005 by
Kathie from St. George, UT
“I got in late and left early, so wasn't able to enjoy the hotel or explore the area. My short time there was very pleasant. Beds were extremely comfortable with pillow tops. FOUR pillows! I love lots of pillows. This was a real surprise. And they were soft and comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.” Jun 30, 2005 by
Jennifer from Douglasville, GA
“I enjoyed my experience much more this time using your service for a hotel in the same area. The last hotel I was booked at Marriott which is across the street. I was double charged for the room never received a refund. They weren't polite as They were at the Sheraton. They helped with directions, suggestions, and problems that occured were handled smoothly.” Apr 4, 2005 by
Darryl P. from Fredricvksburg
“Nice looking hotel. Unfortunately, on OUR stay, we had problem with wayy room was not thoroughly cleaned. Repeated calls to front desk was treated with indiffirence.” Mar 29, 2005 by
Krishnu V. from New Jersey
“I was with family and group. Workers ther had attitude problem and were rude and unhelpful in our dealings with them. The rooms were okay, and also locattion” Mar 9, 2005 by
Victoria from Morgantown, WV
“For the price we paid, we got a good deal. There was still rennovations going on so the lobby lacked any atmosphere, but the front desk staff were helpful with directions to downtown and the metro was close enough so that we could enjoy the hotel's free parking. The rooms were clean and comfortable. but, bring your own food! this place has no vending machines and the room service doesn't run all night, so if you plan on staying out late don't count on a late night snack...” Oct 20, 2004 by
“The receptionist told us that there is no free parking on the street, and recommended the hotel parking garage. After we paid $15 for parking, we went out for dinner, and found that there are free overnight parking everywhere on the street.”
