“I was not happy with the room. They claimed that they were completely full even though I had just booked prior to driving there. I called immediately after booking and was able to get a crib for my baby, which was in the room when we arrived.”

- The staff was very helpful and friendly.
- Our room was between those of school's visit to DC. We called security because of the late night & early morning noise in the wall.
“The hotel was excellent except for our room assignment mentioned in the previous comment regarding the school trip. The school guests should have been put in a more isolated area away from other guest.
Parking charges were very high.”

- Conveniently located near metro.
- Rooms lacked door closing buffers and sound insulation, making every door close heard with a large bang.
“The Sheraton in Crystal City is a conveniently located. It is the type of hotel most frequented by business travelers because of its amenities and location. This hotel's best feature is that it is only one mile from Regan National Airport. If you're flying in from IAD (Dulles) it can be reached by the metro and Washington Flyer Bus. The Metro Rail stop is literally across the street, definitely a plus for tourists that want to get into DC quickly. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. My only complaint was that their LCD TV was not High Definition, but just Standard Definition. In addition, the rooms on my floor, floor 4 did not have door closing mechanisms. Every time a person would leave their room, you would hear a huge door slam. The doors are also not very sound insulated as there is a huge gap from the bottom of the floor to the door. This may be an issue for noise sensitive people.”

- I loved having a business center that provided free internet and printing!
- I found a piece of garbage in my room that had not been cleared out from the previous occupant.

“The was a pleasant stay. Beds dressed with crisp clean cotton sheets with a down comforter and an assortment of feather and foam pillows. Help at the front desk was always available and all inquires were answered quickly and correctly. Restaurant is a little expensive, but in Washington DC, everything is expensive. Metro stop is literally across the street and Crystal City shops have an assortment of dining options. Only down side is parking at $22.50 per night which is charged immediately to your credit card. We were disappointed that the pool was closed. These things were only minor and did not affect our stay.”

- The staff was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The best I've ever seen while traveling!
- The pool hours were not convenient for families on vacation. It closed at 8 pm. right about the time we'd like to start using it!
“The hotel was extremely convenient to the Reagan National Airport and the Subway line into D.C. The hotel has an airport shuttle, and the Subway (which goes all around the DC area) is right across the street. If you stay here, there is absolutely no need to rent a car! The hotel staff was the best I have ever experienced, and I do a ton of traveling. They were very attentive and extremely helpful. They went out of their way to help. Even when my family wasn't looking for help! The hotel was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, check in and check was fast and efficient. There was a rooftop pool, but the hours were quite limited.”

“This hotel is very nice, the staff went out of there way to take care of us. The parking was pricey, and the elevators seemed to be slow when the hotel was busier. Other than that very nice place, rooms are quiet even though there was a party on Sat. night (we were notified about it on Fri.) we could not hear the party going on. Very clean, I would recommend this hotel and again the staff was great.”

- It was a very nice hotel and our room was clean and comfortable.
- We had to pay almost $20 per day for parking. The access to the front of the hotel and the parking garage is a bit confusing.

- The rooms were nice and attractive. The bed was very comfortable but I was most impressed with how clean the bathroom was.
- It did not provide free parking. They had a deck and to valet park was $24.00.that is way too expensive if I am a guest in your hotel.

- I fell in love with the staff. The front desk manager was just great.
- The breakfast buffet was overpriced for what was available. .

- The lobby area was warm and inviting, and our room far exceeded our expectations based on previous reviews I had read.
- I was under whelmed by the quality of the breakfast buffet served on the weekends.
“We found the lobby area clean and inviting. The room we had was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and let a friend who came to visit us park for free. It is a 2 minute walk to the metro, although the metro ride into dc took us a good 45 minutes. I would definitely stay here again.”

“Nice hotel but difficult to locate in crystal city. Awkward/Narrow driveway and entrance/exit to hotel garage. Garage was not crowded but space was tight. Parking was expensive but in/out privileges is allowed. Process of paying for and getting a parking pass was awkward. Rooms are nice and clean. Our room included a small fridge. Bathroom was nice but seemed dated and somewhat worn. Beds were nice, clean, and comfortable. Door to room was hard to open - had to try key several times before we could get in. Common areas of the hotel seemed nice. We did not go to the hotel bar or restaurant.”

- The AC and elevators were pathetic, we had a tough time sleeping.
“The hotel is okay for a stay if you are staying over the week end (couple of days) , the reception didn't look welcoming at all . The AC at the hotel was pathetic even a 2 star hotel is far better. The elevators were not working most of the time and had to wait for a long time. The parking is not free and they charge 15$ per night for parking. If you are getting your own car please be ready for paying 15 per night for parking. Also there is smoke filled in the walkway outside the room so it is irritating if you are with your family, this is despite the fact that all the rooms in the corridor were non smoking.”

- The staff was great.
- The bed was not comfortable.
“This hotel is located next to ground zero (WTC). It costs $50 for parking overnight. The hotel itself was well kept however I really don't think I would use them again. The bed was uncomfortable and they only had 2 pillows that were rather worn out. I woke up with a back and neck ache. I do have to say that the staff was great and rather helpful.”

- Half-block from Metro station, excellent getaway to DC downtown.
- Strong cigarette smoke in the lobby area becuase the location of the bar.
“The hotel is at an excellent location where is half-block from Metro. After get on the Metro, it's 15 minutes ride to Convention Center and the Mall. Unfortunately, the hotel lobby is filled with smoke because people at the bar, which is at the lobby, smoked continuously. The ventilation doesn't seem to work well. The carpet in the room is very old and dirty. Wall paper at the bathroom is peeling off. Tap water has a metal taste and the ice machine was not working at all. If it's not the location, I would not pay so much for this hotel.”

- The beds are very comfortable.
- Some of the outlets did not work.
“This was a good value for the money. It is conveniently located, the atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. The beds are VERY comfortable.”
