• Large rooms and clean.
• A bit far from Metro and be prepared to see/hear loud kids.

“It was a nice hotel deserving of the 2.5 star rating. However, it was a bit of a walk from the Metro station. FYI, you can get to it mainly walking through the underground walkway/mall that connects the Metro to Crystal City Street or hail a taxi. Have 3 computers for guests to check e-mail. Close places to eat.”

• The room was located close to the airport.
• Could not get proper transportation service.

“The room was small but well kept, however, the restaurant floors were dirty, sticky and the service was extremely poor. My dinner was incorrect and had I bitten into my food without looking would have ended up in the hospital. I specifically asked for no mayo on my food as I have medically cannot eat food with eggs and my food was covered with it. I went downstairs to order food and brought it back to my room. I discovered the mayo and contacted room service which had me get re-dressed and bring the food back to the restaurant and wait for more to be prepared. Most places would have retrieved the food and brought it back to me without me having to run up and down the hotel elevators fetching food myself. I also had transportation issues and waited upwards of 45 minutes for a shuttle.”

• Clean, beautiful environment and location, convenient to bus, subway.
• Hotel parking is expensive. $12 per day. It should be free.

• The parking garage facility was top notch, very secure.
• Right next to the airport, metro train, train, and highway.

“Staff was very friendly, parking garage very secure, restaurant and bar was not open at all, slightly noisy due to airport, trains going by, but tolerable, room was clean, slightly modern room, not a big gift shop/snack shop.”

• We were put in a smoking room with 1 bed and 2 friends traveling.

“I did not enjoy my stay. We were put in a 1 bedroom room with two people who needed 2 beds. The first option was a smoking room, no way! They gave us free parking for the problem, big deal when you didn't sleep!”

• $12 parking charge is outrageous, extreme, and offensive.

“Very nice overall accommodations, although the staff was not too friendly or helpful. It was also very poor on their part that we could not participate in the free weekend breakfast available to regular guests. The parking fee is in very poor taste and also quite rude to guests also.”

“Overall, the hotel experience was good. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. But the staffs were very helpful in providing one. Just need to call ahead. Location is good as it is close to Downtown DC (10 min by car). Breakfast buffet is a bit pricey. A lot of good restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. I am sure a lot of customers will be very happy if the parking fee is reduced to $10 or less.”

“The computer system was down when we checked in, so we waited over two hours in the middle of night. Until 2:00 am, we checked in. We were bad luck. Overall, this hotel is good.”

• The room was clean, the hallway was quiet. The double bed setting was very attractive to families with more than 2 people.
• The water in the whirlpool sometimes looked dirty. The pool staff had to take a break at 7:30 pm and we had to get , which was not very convenient.

• The elevators are horrendously slow!

“In the room, they have coffee pots with two packs of coffee. Each pack contains the coffee, a Swizel stick, 2 packs of sugar, 1 creamer, 1 sweet & low (cancer causer), the problem is that the pack makes 4 cups of coffee. There are no extra creamers or sugar available in the room. So, you make a pot of coffee and then have to call room service if you want to drink more than one cup of coffee. It might be wise to buy coffee separate from the condiments. Once when I requested additional condiments, I was given additional packs of coffee, which I had to open each one for the condiments and throw the coffee away. I thought it was a big waste. I will now try to bring creamer with me when I stay there and get sugar from the restaurant downstairs”

• Very convenient, although 4 or 5 were a little more convenient. Great restaurant area nearby.
• Guests must rely on hotel shuttle a lot, not all drivers are friendly and helpful.

“Located at the end of a row of hotels adjacent to very nice, convenient shopping/dining area. It's a long walk to area if weather not good. Guest frequently dependent on hotel shuttle, which proved reliable. Staff generally friendly, room was nice, clean.”

• The pool was below expectations.

“We cannot say enough about the staff. The front desk personnel were the most helpful we have seen in a while. The cleaning crew was jam up. The restaurant was somewhat pricey (breakfast buffet), but very clean and comfortable. I would stay at this hotel again next year on our return trip.”

• Beautifully renovated and very well maintained.
• Rooms could use mini refrigerators. Hated going downstairs several times just to get something to drink.

“Great hotel. I stay there several times a year. We have to pay for parking. The small refrigerators would be a great asset especially for those who have small children or babies and need to have formula chilled or juice for the kids.”

• The things I appreciate most are the comfortable bed and pillows.
• Though less than what other area hotels charge, there is a $12 parking fee per day.

“I wish I how¿ve stayed at a courtyard by Marriott prior to their renovations so that I could contrast the changes, but what I do know is that I always enjoy staying at this courtyard: from the moment I am greeted at the front desk with a smile, to walking in the my room meeting the crisp, fresh smell of the neat and always clean room; then crawling into a bed that is not only comfortable and relaxing, but also has plush pillows so inviting that it's difficult to want to move my head from them the next day. For a business traveler with lots of electronic gadgets, the guest room at the crystal city courtyard had more than adequate power outlets throughout the room and on both sides of the bed. ”

“A comfortable, clean, all nonsmoking hotel. Parking is a bit expensive, but there is mass transit access if you plan ahead. Staff is responsive to customer concerns.”

• The main entrance and room was nice.
• We had to make multiple requests to get the room cleaned. It was cleaned once in 3 days and that was after we stopped on of the cleaning ladies.

“From the moment I walked into the hotel, I was impressed. I saw a commercial on TV while I was staying at the courtyard that said they had recently renovated the lobby and rooms in their hotels and it was obvious to me. The room was equipped with a trine heat pump and digital thermostat, plenty of outlets conveniently located around the room and beautiful photographs and artwork displayed on the walls. I will definitely choose to stay at a courtyard in the future.”

• The hotel had a free shuttle to surrounding area.
• No free parking and there is a noisy traffic trip switch.

“This hotel is located right off rte 1 and easy to get to, it is surrounded by several other hotels and the one problem is a traffic trip switch that clacks loudly every time a car goes over it to have the light change, if you are in a room facing the highway you will hear this all night, the staff did change our room without a problem.”

• We absolutely loved the room. The hotel was located in nice safe environment conveniently located close to the metro to tour o.k.
• Did not find anything to dislike.
